The service was just okay, and there was inconsistent pricing between what was listed on the menu and what we were ultimately charged. I ordered the chicken parm and was charged an additional $7 for a sauce substitution that was never mentioned when I placed my order. For example, if you order the gnocchi, you're given a choice of three sauces, one of which is the Rosa sauce. The portion of gnocchi is the same regardless of which sauce you choose, so I was surprised to see an additional charge for a sauce substitution without being told about it upfront. I was also charged $7 for a small cappuccino, which I found to be quite expensive. I appreciate transparency in my dining experiences, especially when I make a point to support small, local businesses. If there's an additional charge, customers should be told upfront. The pricing for dining here leans more expensive for what I would consider a mediocre dining experience. It's disappointing because we've always enjoyed Scarpinato's, but based on this experience, we will not be back. I'd encourage you to consider other dining options when deciding where to spend your money.
