This place is truly a GEM! Yes, you can come here and do a zero gravity float session. Yes, you can come here for a relaxing massage. However, the main reason why I was so drawn to this place and jumped at the opportunity to get on the schedule was/is because they offer Gua Sha, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), and cupping. The front desk fella, Jase, is super friendly and personable! He made sure I got on the schedule w/who I was looking to see as he felt my desperation into getting some relief. I am pretty paranoid when it comes to someone handling my body post surgery (due to skin sensitivity, previous surgeries on the same area, and just trauma from previous injuries). I just had my fifth surgery on the same knee, and needed to seek out a HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY trained professional, who would be attentive to my paranoia, who has extensive background experience in aiding patients post surgeries with their long, often SLOW recovery. Enter Paul O. When I met him, I knew he was the right massage therapist for me. Upon my very first visit with him, he wanted to know my extensive/detailed past injuries and surgeries so he can comprehend where I am at with this fifth surgery and create a plan that will aid me in my recovery journey. It was so nice to be able to connect with someone who can understand where I have been and where I am now, in regards of physical injuries, past surgeries, affecting the mental as well as emotional aspect of my life. From there, with every visit, he has been very determined and patient with me, using Gua Sha, IASTM, and cupping to aid me in my path towards a once-again-normal life. I call Paul O the "Muscle Whisperer". I am a client for LIFE.

I went to Loraine in pretty significant pain, but thanks to her expertise, I am FAR better today and am confident under her care I will be back to a pain-free state again soon. She is knowledgeable beyond massage therapy, understands whole body nutrition, and is an absolute joy to talk to. Do yourself a favor, make the appointment! You will NOT regret it!

Nothing wrong with that at all, but I thought I'd let you all know for when you are trying to find it. The massage itself was wonderful. I got the aromatherapy massage and it was great. Fell asleep about 30 minutes in.. that's how you know it's relaxing, right?? I would have given it 5 stars except for these couple reasons: - music stopped half way through because her phone was connected to the speaker and someone called. - you could hear an occasional dog bark or person speaking in the home I'd certainly come back!

However, at the end of my massage I had to go to the bathroom and when I came out of the bathroom and was trying to find the lobby, I heard my massage therapist (Kade) talking with another massage therapist about how silly/weird someone looked while getting their massage. The owner, Malcolm, reached out to me personally and assured me nothing like this should be happening and he will be addressing it. I really appreciated him reaching out and hearing the feedback from customers.

I now feel confident in continuing my business at Calming Touch in the future.*** Very disappointed in the unethical and unprofessional practices I was surprised to learn of. I went here for prenatal massages and it was great! I was recently given a gift card for a 60 minute massage so I scheduled with Brianna. She was extremely knowledgeable and it was a great massage! The issues I have are not with her, they are with how the business is run. The stars are for Brianna. 1. My massage was scheduled for 12:40 and When I was told we were finished the clock read 1:30. When I asked why we ended 10 minutes early Brianna informed me that at Calming Touch they massage for 10 minutes less than the time you pay for (I.e. a 50 minute massage when you paid for a 60 minute massage) even if you arrive early so your massage begins on time. 2. I had a coupon from referring a family member that I used during checkout. When I went to pay with my gift card I was informed I was not allowed to use a gift card if I have any discount applied to the price of my massage. So I had to pay out of pocket. *I will note that nowhere on the website or at the location does it say this is a rule, so I found it very frustrating, especially after paying for 60 minutes and being told I only get 50. This does not happen at other massage companies (i much experience in managing a massage business and attending multiple) and it was extremely disappointing to find out. I cannot in good conscience recommend this location anymore to my friends and family as I now know we aren't getting what we paid for.
