The roast duck has crispy skin, roasted to a point where it's not gamey. Generous sized, even half a duck is plenty for 2 to share. The roast pork is well seasoned and skin wax super crunchy. Plenty of lean meat. The rest of the grocery store had a great variety of international foods (Italian, Turkish, Etc) canned and bottled goods as well as Asian items.

I was completely surprised at how much stuff they have available. Buts whats best, is they have Shan brad products. I pickup a few seasoning products every few months. They have all your typical items bulk rice, desserts, frozen meals-nanns- and noticed they expanded the produce section. When you walk in you can grab hand basket or cart and browse the produce section, and frozen food section. If it's your first visit I would checkout the entire store and its compact so your can do this quickly. I've been noticing more and more products each time I visit, so I'm sure they are stocking what the customers are looking for. I saw an Indian restaurant from all the way in Oxford shopping here, so go check out why they shop all the way out here.

I checked them out yesterday and I have to say that this is the largest, cleanest, friendliest Indian grocery store I've ever seen. I'm originally from India and I have shopped at literally hundreds of Indian grocery stores in India, Detroit, Windson Ont, DC, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Chicago (Devon street) and Cincinnati.WB Foods outshines them all. Here's why: - large building, wide aisles, well lit, clean and well-organized - great, friendly staff; every aisle we went, they were eager to help - tremendous food selections representing myriad Indian cuisines - prices are clearly marked and are competitive - a big bonus feature:on-site sit-down restaurant, fresh-cooked food I consider this a model for any ethnic grocery store. I have only been to this market once. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and/or helpful. I…read morebought some deli meat, individual size cole slaw & individual size banana pudding. I thought they (slaw & banana pudding) were a little pricy for the size, but they were both tasted very fresh and delicous. I bought the slaw to make a slaw dog when I got home, but ended up eating it all up, as is. The banana pudding was absolutely delicious. I was so disappointed when I got home & realize 1/2 of it had spilled into my bag (my fault). For my son's birthday I ordered a large family size banana pudding. It did not disappoint! It was just as delicious as the individual one I had weeks earlier! I would say 3/4 cup would be a serving size. 13 people had some and some had 2nds and the birthday man had 3rds and we still had about a serving or 2 left over (b/c I hid it). I think b/c it was so good we wanted more of it, so depending on your group size & appetite you may want to order more than one or have other desserts on hand to either lure them away from the pudding or to have as back up (that's what I did). I do believe if I would've had another one the other desserts would've gone untouched. Honestly, I did think it was a little pricy for the size, especially since we had another tasty dessert just slightly smaller than the banana pudding size and it was $10. The fact that it was delicious helped, it would've been like adding insult to injury if it would've been pricy and nasty. Certhainly not the case here. Everyone absolutely enjoyed it! Thank you Vonderhaar's. *tip order at least 48hrs in advance, I ordered 24hrs in advance & got lucky. Truly, it's best to call & ask how much notice is needed. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was nice & very helpful. Delicious-Delicious-Delicious stop by & give em a try!

This is a very old, small hometown grocery store that was recently purchased by a family from…read moreIndia. The new owners have put in a few upgrades to the store and it seems this is just the start. They now have a beer cave and a large expanded selection of craft beers and other alcoholic beverages. Does a small town with with more than 11 places that serve/sell alcohol within a 2 mile radius really need a beer cave and huge alcohol selection? I dont think so but thats the Mayor's fault not Medarys. They also updated the overhead lights to led lights so it is very bright. They have replaced the ice cream coolers as well as added pop/milk/dairy item coolers. The box/can food selection is good but expensive. You do not want to use this store for more than something you ran out of and need it asap! The produce department is terrible. They carry a few heads of lettuce and a couple pieces of fruit that seem to be seasonal. It's not very fresh and disappointing to people who are vegitarians. They do carry a nice banana selection but at 69 cents a pound its pricey. They have a hot/cold deli and a bakery section. Sliced deli meat is on par to a little pricey depending on selection and hardly ever on sale. Cheese is expensive and I havent seen a single sale so far but if you ask for Amish American at $4.99 a pound its a steal and in my opinion its better than Land-O-Lakes. They still have the best donuts in Clermont County! However like everything else they are expensive. About 20-45 cents higher per donut than previous owners. Still worth it! Now for the hot deli. Fried chicken and taters. Still seems to be the same flour/spice breading mixture as in the past. Chicken and potato wedges are amazing when first put in case. As time passes they become greasy, dry and terrible. They do offer an after 9pm special and the ladies will fry it fresh. They do offer cold fresh fried chicken in the open cooler like Kroger does. The non family staff is minimal. The ladies in the deli are all very nice and helpful. They work hard running both hot/cold deli, frying chicken and washing all the pots, pans, trays and things. At night there is only 1 person. The most I've seen even in rush hour is 2 ladies working. The owner and his wife are there always. Their son and another family member also have shifts. They all are nice but I think cultural differences sometimes make them seem rude. What I dislike is that they follow you around as if you are going to steal from them. Plus you are on a huge tv camera system so I dont know why they feel the need to make customers feel uncomfortable. That makes it feel less grocery store more corner bodega. They also sell an assortment of incense and a couple hookah pipes. Really? This is a farm town with country folks. This turns many people away. Overall Medarys has your basics but are very expensive. The employees are friendly and the owner and his family are cordial. The store is kept very clean unlike previous owners. They need to expand their produce with fresh items and limit the bodega gimmick items. It would be nice to see some authentic Indian food in the hot deli.

There were a lot of customers in and out but the staff seemed to keep everything moving and there wasn't much of a wait for our lunches. After we placed our orders at the counter, we walked around the cute shop while we waited for our food to be ready. They have a big selection of specialty foods, most I have never seen in other stores. The prices on those packaged food seemed really high, but I don't have anything to compare them to so maybe that's what they cost elsewhere? We took our food to go and everything was fresh and tasty. I had a tartine with ricotta, dates, honey, and walnuts which was good and the pesto pasta salad which was even better. My husband commented that the tomato on his BLT actually tasted like a tomato, which isn't always the case this time of year. We hope to go back soon and try some of their other offerings.
