I came in for what I scheduled as a routine eye exam and left with unexpected charges I did not…read moreagree to; I have worn contact lenses for over 15 years and specifically told the technician I did not want additional contact lens services, yet I was billed for unnecessary services that resulted in out-of-pocket costs, and at no point was it clearly explained these were separate, non-covered charges; the doctors and techs were professional and pleasant. I will note they were very pushy with upselling me on lasik and telling me to use their surgery center. They kept insisting to get the surgery despite me saying no several times. The front desk experience was the opposite, Abby was dismissive and rude while discussing the surprise charges, which made the situation worse; I also discovered their contact lens pricing is significantly higher than major retailers, with the same brand quoted near $90 that is widely available for around $60 elsewhere; I don't mind paying for services I agree to, but I do mind being billed for services I declined and not being clearly informed about extra costs, and better transparency and professionalism at the front desk would make a big difference.

This honestly was my best eye doctor experience ever. Dr.Haloua was super calming and professional…read more Not only ensuring that I understood everything that was happening during the exam, but also understanding my need. I got contacts for the first time (as well as frames) here. The class Dr.Haloua gave made contacts seem less scary, and her step by step approach helped me replicate the tactics at home. As for everyone else in that office- so nice. I felt immediatley welcomed, not just by them saying hello, but just by the atmosphere they helped create. While trying on glasses I had support and honest insight from all the staff. When I finally found my frames it was like a light bulb moment- I got compliments, and not just because they were selling the most expensive frames (they weren't) they just truly liked the way they looked. They were so excited to see me on follow up appointments that I didn't even stress about driving downtown. As for pricing, they are about average to most eye doctors. However they were helpful in my payment options. They also asked my price range and were honest about cost. Not to mention their office was also apparently under construction at this point. Not only do I recommend this place highly to anyone considering going there, but I plan to be a repeat paitent.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, ANYWHERE ELSE!!!…read more First, let me start out by saying that I am 32 years old and have been wearing glasses since I was 6. In 9th grade I've even had a stint where I had hard contacts. Never, in my 26 years of needing corrective eyewear, have I ever gotten the wrong prescription. Not even once! That all changed when I went to Price Eyewear on June 6 of this year. I wanted soft contact lenses and even made sure to ask if that was possible with having astigmatism. I was ensured it would be fine. I have my eye exam and get fitted for contacts, roughly $150. I wear them the prescribed amount hours every day to get used to them, have a raging headache, and realize I can't read anything on my laptop. I ask them if they can translate my old glasses prescription to a contact prescription for the time being (the optometrist I saw was on vacation and I didn't want to go two weeks with these ones) and they do that (sort of). I get a follow-up appointment scheduled for 2 weeks out. I tell the optometrist prescription #2 is much better than the first prescription but a hair off and the optometrist gives me another eye exam and tells me she needs to order a new prescription (I was expecting them to be similar to the old prescription). Over 2 months go by where I call them at least weekly asking if the new prescription came in (I had monthly contacts so I had already thrown the #2 prescription pair out by July 20). I'm back to wearing my old glasses. Finally growing tired of the runaround, I call them on Aug 22 (over 2.5 months since my initial appointment) and (after asking if there's anything they can do other then re-ordering them from the supplier multiple times) say I'm about to go get a new eye exam done somewhere else as I can't keep doing this. All of a sudden (after telling me there's nothing they can do for weeks on end now), they can call another location and get these contacts that they have been unable to get and get them the very next day (a Wednesday) and I pick them up. One eye (the right eye) was a different brand but I was just happy they were finally in. They tell me they should have the correct brand in on Friday (2 days later) and that they will call me. I get home and wear the prescription #3 contacts and it's not even close to prescription #2 and I can barely make out road signs, have a splitting headache and the second I take them out I have cloudy vision for about an hour. Fast forward to today, I went in to get all 3 contact prescriptions they've given me so I can take those to the new eye doctor on Thursday (and make sure I don't get those prescriptions again). They make me wait half an hr while trying to find prescription 3's right eye contact in the right brand (didn't listen to me) and then they finally tell me they can't give me the prescriptions because they weren't finalized and that I need to sign a release form at the new eye doctor's place so the new eye doc can see the notes they wrote on me. I am a day short of hitting my 3-month mark with nothing more than a handful of terrible headaches, wasted money, and wasted time to show for this place. After I got home, I went back and forth with myself and decided that I paid them and if they can't even give me the prescriptions they gave me contacts for then I deserve a refund (at least for the eye exam). I try to be very diplomatic and didn't want to ask this in haste at the office so I went home to think everything through. I ask for a refund and (after three transfers) get told by the doctor that I'm refusing services as I didn't take the right eye contact with me this morning (because it's the wrong prescription). They know the third prescription is the worst one, refuse to refund me for the eye exam and refuse to give me my prescriptions they wrote me. At what point does refusing services turn into optometrist incompetence? If I didn't throw in the towel I would still be dealing with this when my prescription runs out in June 2024 being no closer to the right prescription.

Best eye doctor in town!…read more I went to him three years ago for glasses and he's the only one that put my sphere correctly (one negative and one positive). Little back story, I just dealt with over 3 months of getting jerked around by Price Eyewear in Lock Haven on Vesper St- see review from me on them for more detail). I just went there because it was closer to my house and it was $150 I will never see again, not to mention wasted time and countless amount of headaches. I went back to this place (Price Optical) today for an eye exam for a new glasses and contact prescription and soft contact lenses and he, as always, took his time, answered all my concerns, and got the prescription right the first time. Not just that, I got the prescription for both glasses and contacts right away and it was $36 cheaper than Price Eyewear was (which I have nothing to show for, they wouldn't even give me the prescriptions for the different contact prescriptions they made me try despite paying for everything right off the bat). Long story short, go to this place! I love that this doctor is passionate about his job! You can tell that he really loves what he does and it shows in his work!

The second time I went 5 years ago for new prescription same thing as first they didn't get the prescription right had to do it all over again send them back and wait again and again. I went back on 2-19-2026 for a third new prescription and YES YOU GUESSED IT same thing as the first and second time they got the third prescription wrong and once again had to do it all over again and send them back and wait and wait again. I went to pick up the new pair today and guess what they got the prescription wrong again!!!!!!!!! They told me they was done with me and to fuck off and find another place to go to just like that. They treated me like I was a piece of garbage and more or less said it was all my fault.Talk about being treated like a piece of dog shit because of there mistakes how many times yeah!!! I worn all Never ever go there because when they screw up its your fault and get ready to be treated like absolute Garbage and dog shit.......
