Each and every appointment I have ever had here I have been treated with nothing but the utmost courtesy and respect by the receptionists, hygienist, and dentists. They also have always been on-time for my appointments. I've been to other dentist offices in the area where they like to try and push unnecessary cosmetic treatments on you -- this office does not do that. They will make suggestions based upon what your goals are with your teeth and that is it, but I have never felt uncomfortable here trying to be "sold" on a service or product like I have at other offices. The office itself is very nice and ample parking is available out front and they accept Penn State insurance!

I went, and was very happily surprised. The office is easy to find, parking is sufficient, and the inside is very clean and modern. During the current Covid pandemic, patient safety is obviously a high priority as well, with a quick phone interview asking relevant questions, and a temperature checks at your car before you enter the building. All the hygienists we've seen are very friendly and courteous, answering any questions you have. They're also great with kids, as our daughter has gone for the past 4 years and loves it. Having a toddler eager to go to the dentist is not an experience I've heard from others very often, but ours is, which is a testament to their care. One other review mentioned that Dr. Anderton has turned into a greedy businesswoman, due to her not taking the insurance anymore (I assume it's the Penn State dental insurance). I know a little about the situation, and it's definitely not her fault. The issue, as I understand it, is that the insurance changed to require dentists to use some material for cavity fillings that tend to degrade, while Dr. Anderton insists on using high-quality fillings. That led to her not being accepted into the network. However, you can still be reimbursed from an HSA if you have one. In short, Dr. Anderton is the best dentist me, or my family, has ever had, and we'll be her happy patients for as long as we can.

He was an exceptionally good dentist with a terrific manner and was always friendly. His staff of hygienists were excellent and remained your hygienist for years, even decades. His front office staff was exceptional, always dressed professionally and always presented themselves attractively. Like everyone else they were eternally upbeat, pleasant and helpful. Everyone knew you by sight. Plus, Dr. Williams had an epically wonderful waiting room. The leather chairs and couches remain the most comfortable on which I've ever sat. In the center was a circular table with all types of interesting reading material. It was better than home. I was sorry to see Dr. Williams retire but he certainly earned it. Hope he's doing well. My review noted how relaxed the process was, and how he and his staff were pretty decent people. I'm pretty happy and go back routinely. I think I'm getting pretty good quality care. Only a tiny portion had been covered by PSU insurance. I knew from past experience that Highmark/Blue Shield covers 2 free cleanings & at least 1 set of x-rays per year. Dental work at Devlin's practice was not fully covered by ANY insurance because, according to his secretary, he doesn't want insurance companies telling him what he can do. When I called the office to complain about the bill, saying that they had misled me to believe it was covered, the secretary said, "We tell patients that we *participate* in dental insurance, but we don't *accept* it." She claimed that the indecipherable difference between these 2 verbs should have been clear to me. This business's deceptive wordsmything cost us hundreds of dollars for a simple cleaning. Unless something has changed in the intervening years, Highmark/Blue Shield does not cover dental work at Devlin's office; they will only give you a slight discount.

Not only did Dr. Marks fix my teeth on the spot, but they look better than they did before the accident. His staff are patient, kind, and personable. The women in the office made me feel comfortable and ensured me everything would be okay. Everyone made it super easy to understand what was being done to my teeth and how I could go about caring for them in the future.
