Where do I start? I have been waiting for a chance to hire Scot and his amazing ice cream company for my events. Well this last weekend he amazed my 120 guests. Blew them away! People who don't even normally like ice cream said this was the best ice cream they had. Holy flavor. Im a big ice cream aficionado. I'll eat it on a sunny day, a stormy day, in the middle of winter, you name it. With that said, i am so glad I only bought one small scoop for myself because it was already so rich with each bite. I got the coffee bean flavored one and it was so yummy and different than usual ice cream spots. This is the beauty of mom and pop shops. Can't wait to be back! Driving by I saw this truck parked in front of Whole Foods on Ventura Blvd in Tarzana. I'm a big fan of nitrogen ice cream and even though it was freezing outside I just had to stop and try it. I was greeted right away by a nice man named Scott. I was craving a peanut butter flavor but unfortunately he didn't have any tonight. So I got hot chocolate and red velvet. For these 2 scoops I paid $6. As far as the nitrogen ice cream goes, the texture was different than I'm used to. When I think of nitrogen ice cream I think of thick and creamy. Here the nitrogen ice cream felt watered down. Maybe it's because they offer organic, vegan, & kosher certified flavors? It's a healthier option but I like to feel like I'm digging into a guilty indulgent treat when I have ice cream lol. The hot chocolate flavor was spot on and did taste like hot chocolate. However the red velvet tasted more like strawberry. Almost as if I was eating Napoleon ice cream without the Vanilla. I'm still rating NitroPod 5 stars because it's healthy, tasted good, and I received awesome customer service and that's always appreciated. I saw they had an avocado flavor and I love avocado so maybe I'll try that next time if I see them around again! Oh and they have alcohol infused flavors! :) read more

My coworker and I have been thinking about a fun event to host at our job and we found the best truck! Was walking around the food trucks on Friday nights in Granada Hills, took their card and voila! Scot, who I was coordinating with, was extremely responsive with questions, quotes & addressed all concerns quickly. Today, we welcomed them with open arms & the guys in the truck were fast, efficient, accommodating and extremely friendly. When "renting" the truck, we are offered a wide range of flavors which included Avocado-Lime (amazing & zesty!), spicy Mayan chocolate to good ol' Vanilla Bean. They also had a bunch of cool toppings which included bacon for the adventurous. All 60+ of my coworkers loved every bite & fell in love with how unique the whole process is. Highly recommended for catering or to stop by. Delicious and amazing customer service. Double win! read more

Nice ice cream. I was a little nervous because I got pumpkin flavor (you know holiday season and all) and the color of the ice cream was very light. The first time I experienced nitropod was at an event. They had the most delicious mango sorbet that tasted just like a mango. Very flavorful. Then the pandemic happened and I haven't had access to them until they started to deliver in Los Angeles! First off Scot is extremely nice and verified my order. They really do deliver to your house! I have since tried so many other delicious flavors from them. Vanilla is a staple. But event the oat based ice creams are delicious! I definitely recommend the chocolate. Their cookies for their ice cream sandwiches are also very good. I recommend snickerdoodle. All of their products are delicious and the team is also very nice. Liquid nitrogen ice cream is perfect treat to beat the LA heat. If you don't know about liquid nitrogen ice cream, it's made to order and flash frozen right in front of your very eyes. Science is cool, amiright?! Nitropod catered an event that I attended last night. The staff was very friendly and the ice cream did not disappoint! I ordered the salted caramel, and it was the perfect combination of salty and sweet. Best of all, the milk is organic from Strauss Family Creamery. It's a little bit of the Bay Area right here in LA! They also have non-dairy sorbet and ice cream made from avocado and coconut milk. My friend ordered the avocado chocolate and loved it! My family and I went to go to an Uber meet where there's free ice cream, but I felt sad that I can't really have ice cream since I'm lactose intolerant. The people running this are very sweet! My mom accidentally got a vegan chocolate ice cream made out of coconut cream when she thought she was getting a coconut ice cream. She did not like it and asked him to throw it away. Instead he insisted on my mom picking out another flavor as an exchange. He told her he wants to make sure she is very happy with whatever ice cream flavor she picks. She then got strawberry and loved it!! Organic liquid nitrogen ice cream?? Now THIS is ice cream of the future. And it's amazing! Nitropod catered a party I went to today and let me tell you it was an amazing ice cream experience. I tried every flavor they had. Many of them 2-3 times. Yes, I had about 10 scoops. Yes I am procrastinating going to the gym right now. They brought all their materials and they made the ice cream from scratch right in front of us. It was probably the best consistency of ice cream I have ever had. It was super smooth and creamy, kind of like frozen custard but not as heavy, and not icy and overly-sweet like ice cream tends to be. The ice cream here is really fresh. You can just keep eating it. 10 scoops of it. Literally. My favorite flavors were cookies and cream and mochaccino. Some flavors are much sweeter than others like salted caramel and french toast, so I didn't care too much for those flavors but I mean they were still amazing. read more

We picked four delicious flavors and a vegan option! plus two different kinds of cookies to make ice cream sandwiches. They even added bourbon to our vanilla flavor to make a 'boozy' option! Our guests RAVED about the flavors and they were even so kind to walk around and bring ice cream samples over to guest tables. All our vendors thought the 'nitrogen' ice cream was super cool and added a fun effect during the reception. I highly recommend their catering services and I hope I can use them again in the future! I asked to split a single with two flavors but the guy in the truck said with "no" without hesitation. For $5 a scoop you should have more freedom. Salt N Straw lets anyone do this on the regular. Salt N Straw is probably my favorite ice cream in Los Angeles. My coworker bought the mint chip ice cream sandwich which wasn't very good because it wasn't minty. I don't taste the sour aftertaste, which you can find in certain ice creams to know how fresh it it. I got the vanilla bean flavor and though it was a little sweeter than i can handle; it was the best vanilla bean i ever had. I hired them for a corporate event and their service was INCREDIBLE! It was such a hit at the event. He even drove all the way from LA to our office in Irvine to drop off samples for us to try.
