Nirvana Here we are now, entertain us, I feel stupid and.... Wait. Oops.... Wrong Nirvana. This is my wife's second time here, my first time ever setting foot inside a Nirvana. I have to say I was pretty impressed with the layout and absolute cleanliness of the facility. We came here, primarily for my mom and my father in law. They're both up in age, one has Sugar Diabetes and the other has some health issues. Needless to say, we are relying on the experts to make sure they're trimmed and proper, and while we're at it, may as well get some pedicures ourselves. As Spock would say with a raised eyebrow, "Sounds logical." The pampering was on point. Foot soak, massage chairs, free beverages, and TV's for your viewing pleasure. I ordered the whole package, with trim, scrub, lotions, and wax, a little leg massage and finished with a hot towel. All very comforting stuff. As much as they tried, I denied any color finishing on my nails. With that all said, it was a good experience... and my only main complaint is (reason for 3 star rating)... WOW!! This ain't cheap. Not even close. Maybe I'm the cheap one, but after pedicures for two plus tip.... $200. $180 without the tip. I don't know about you, but I can think of other ways to spend that kind of money instead of a spa treatment... but... and this is the inner Sir Mix A Lot coming out... a BIG BUT ()... that it was definitely a treat. Sorry, don't have any pics to contribute, but will finish with this... great location, staff, facility, service... just overpriced in my book. I come from the NW, and used to prices being 2-3 times more, so this was a shock to me. In total, between the 4 of us, left paying just under $400. I have heard great things about nirvana and I work only 5 minutes from this location. I decided on my lunch break to give them a try. Disappointed to say the least after my pedicure yesterday. Showed up after the people next to me and was done with my whole pedicure before they were even to getting their toes painted. The whole thing was rushed. I got gel polish and it's already starting to peel a little the day after. Waste of money honestly. read more

I had a truly horrible experience here. The technician was on her phone the entire time and generally rude when speaking me. When I had a concern about the unevenness of one nail, she snapped at me that it was because it was "too short" even though she was the one who cut it. She didn't ask about what shape I wanted or any of my preferences. Typically dip powder nails last me two weeks but after two days all of the nails fell off. I came back in even though where I was staying wasn't close by and they gave me the same woman to do my nails. She was just as rude and aggressive the second time with how she was moving my hands and fingers. Two days later my nails are now falling off. I called to request a refund but was denied that, and because I live out of state I can't come in to give them a third chance. The man on the phone then said "I don't know what you do with your nails" as if I had caused them to fall off. I've been out of town so I haven't even done dishes or anything remotely damaging to my nails. I asked to speak to the manager and he is "out of town". Seriously bad pedicure. Rude technician, barely talked other than to give directions. No massage, bad filing, bad paint job. Pointed out the absurdly crooked lines it the pink and white paint and was told it was my fault for having a crooked nail! I asked isn't that why they cut and file?!? Seriously bad customer service, offering only to fix it after trying to blame the situation on me. Top it off, refused to discount, saying they would fix it instead. I had a bad experience here Friday afternoon. The woman who did my nails wanted to hurry through the job even though I asked her three times to slow down. They are dip nails. Consequently she nipped or sliced while filing the cuticles on 4 nails. Three of them drew a very small amount of blood to the surface. Today they are quite sore. In addition she had me wash my hands before the polish was completely dry and therefore partially had to do over several nails. She stood, bent over my hands while hurrying through that process. My family has gone here a couple of times and it just gets worse every time we go. First time was decent but nothing greaf. We got pedicures only. Second time the guy who did my daughter's pedicure & manicure would stop throughout the service to cash out customers. He did this at least 4-5 times. Never got pictures of my daughter's nails but they looked like she did them herself. (She's 5). Today me and my husband stopped for a manicure. The technician acted like he did not want to be there nor do my nails. He rushed through the whole manicure & it shows. The shaping of the nails is so uneven & each nail is shaped slightly different. (The picture really doesn't do it justice). The white tip is sooooo thick & I absolutely hate them. They look awful. I don't even want to look down at my hands. Not only did they do an awful job they completely forgot my husband asked for a manicure as well until we had paid. Awful service. Complete disaster at this Nirvana Hollytree Nail Salon! First, after making an online appt with a certain tech I arrive to learn she's not available. They put me with a male, I DON'T like males doing my nails but all the female techs were busy. He proceeds to try and remove my polish with a drill! I told him I don't like drills on my nails, especially just for polish removal!! He told me that was the only way to remove it..totally WRONG. The nails have to be soaked, not drilled!! He then proceeds to put the wrong color of polish on my nails, has to correct that. Then finally gets the right color, which was a red, and totally messed that up too. Didn't get the gel to set right with the lamps and it was still wet, had to do over. Wound up with polish on my cuticles and skin...looks like a 5 yr old did my nails. After over 1.5 hrs for what was suppose to be a simple gel manicure I left and am now looking for a salon who can fix this mess. Avoid this place at all costs!!! read more

They do not know what they're doing with respect to shellac polish. I do not recommend anyone attempt to get shellac at Nirvana. They don't know the first thing about shaping a nail. I walked out looking like I had press-on nails. Awful. And that was my second experience (yes, it takes me a while to learn). The first attempt - the shellac was so thick it began to chip within days. Nirvana would not attempt to fix, but rather insisted I pay again. Well....last time I do that. read more

This was my first and last visit here. This business does not take care of dissatisfied customers. They use their cameras that are watching your every move to determine if there are any issues. Otherwise if you notice wrong anything AFTER you leave your own your own. I have had pedicures for years and this is probably the worst one yet. Old polish not fully removed and paint job was thin and sloppy. And the lady doing the pedicure was pushy with her services wanting me to choose a higher priced service. I've never experienced such a rude and unpridessional staff. Unfortunately VIP nails is closed on sundays so I tried this place out. 2 of my nails were cracked just 4 days later which never happens at VIP. 2 obnoxious ladies yelled at me about how it was my fault even though I was never rough rough my nails. I tried explaining I wanted a fill and then add on the manicure just for the cuticle cutting and lotion massage. I was willing to pay the full price even though I wasn't getting the polish part of the manicure. They refused to listen and continued to yell at ms and say it was my fault. I've been using a color depositing shampoo with white nails for months including the nails they did Sunday. Bad pedicure...worse customer service. I had a pedi here and within 4 days, the polish was coming off. A big piece on my great toe fell off in my bed! The edges of my nails were also sharp since he didn't take time to properly file them. I went back and the older woman looked at my nails and when I tried to point out the sharp edges, she shoved my hand away! I tried to explain how sharp the edges were once again, and she pushed my hand away again! She started speaking Vietnamese to Kevin (the technician who originally did my nails) and told me they would not repaint the nails, but fix the bad ones. I said "good luck matching the red polish since you have several near the same shade." He sat me in a chair and proceeded to remove the damaged polish and said I must have hit something with my foot. I said, "No, it came off in my bed." Anyway, he and the woman continued to talk in Vietnamese like I wasn't even there. I hate that! He fixed what he had to, and put me under the drying light. In 3 days, the edges are already rubbing off, and I don't wear shoes that hit my nails. I will never go back. I don't recommend them to anyone! read more

Absolute worst salon experience of my life!! This was my 4/5th time here, and I promise I will never be back. I came in with a picture of what I wanted and asked if they have this material to match the picture. Immediately I was told yes that they can do it, and was asked if I wanted my pedicure to match my nails, and I told them I did. No problem. So I was directed to have a seat in the pedicure chair to start there. When the pedicure tech (Sam) came over and asked what color I wanted on my toes, I showed him the picture and he said they couldn't do that on toes. I told him to go talk to the owner because he had already told me they could. When he comes back he insisted on me getting the gel, and I declined saying I didnt want get, so he said he couldn't do it, only one solid color. I said fine, I chose my color, and the pedi from the menu. Pedi consisted of sugar scrub, wax on feet, and massage, also your typical cuticle trim and nails ect. So when he starts he sets a timer, no biggie at first, just thought he wanted to make sure he didnt loose track of time. I soon realized that it was as I feared, he was rushing through the entire thing. He did the sugar scrub on only my legs, not on the feet, then rinsed me, put the wax bag over my feet and towels on my legs and left me for a moment to clean his area. About 3 minutes into the pedicure the owner comes over to start my nails, so here I am trying to relax, twisted up in my seat, he's using another nail tip to pry off my old nail, feels like he was ripping my nail bed off, all the while trying to enjoy the most rushed pedicure I have ever gotten. When the pedi tech returns, he proceeds to remove the towels and starts to pull my pant leg down. I asked him if he wasn't going to massage my legs, as he only applied the sugar scrub to that part. Visibly angry he yells at me saying he did massage my legs and proceeded to yell asking me if I can't feel or what? Over and over again, probably about 5-7 times. Embarrassed and angry, I told him, yes I feel that, but I am saying that a leg massage is part of the pedicure I chose, and I'd like to get what I pay for. He reluctantly, sprayed oil on my legs and aggressively ran his hands over my shin area for a few minutes, the entire time talking angrily in his native language. He finishes the pedicure, and i am directed to a nail table to finish my nails. "So I can be more comfortable". And even if this was as bad as it sounds, it gets worse! The man proceeds to finish my nails, we get to the last step, where he applies the chrome powder, and it is a COMPLETELY different color than what I asked for. I stop him and ask if he is going to apply a different color to match what I showed him, and he tells me, that he doesn't have that color, and this is "pretty close". I told him, I didn't want purple nails, and he said well, "we can leave them black". I said why didn't you tell me this when I came in and showed you a picture of what I wanted?? He just told me this is all I have close to that color...Literally turned to my daughter, and asked if I was being pranked? It was unbelievable! At this point I just wanted to get out of there, and told him to proceed with the "wrong color". When he finished, he said I'll only charge you for the nail not the chrome, and I was charged $45 for my nails, and $40 for the pedicure. Needless to say, I did not tip. Highly do not recommend this place! I left what was supposed to be a relaxing afternoon with my daughter, totally stressed out, with ugly unmatching nails, and $85 less! I have been a regular customer since this salon opened. I have always been pleased but today, the technician did a very poor job. His name was Kevin and he cut me and burned me several times with the files. I told him to please be more careful but he continued to be rough. He used too much glue and left it a mess under my nail. When I complained, John told me he would take off the manicure and give me a refund. After sitting there for 1.5 hours, I didn't have time for that, plus my nails were tender, sore & bleeding. Took my daughter and her cousin to get a pedicure with me. My daughter was suppose to have the princess mani/pedi ( $25 ) and her cousin princess pedi ( $20 ) . For some reason they received the Nirvana which is what I was getting ( $37 ) . They didn't even inform me at first, they were explaining this to my 14 yr old daughter not me the adult who was paying for all this. When I demanded an explanation they stated, " we put our services on a post it note on the chair the notes got lost and removed so they gave the children the same service as you. " So their mistake but I am paying for it. They finally reduced the price of the pedicures to ($25) o but my daughter still needed a manicure so that was an additional ($18). Plus after all that the pictures I have posted was only 1 hour after leaving the place and the polish started coming off. POOR SERVICE and sub par polish. Will not ever go here again. read more
