Open container of sauce by the register

The concept and food here is pretty good. It's a strange combination of burgers and Chinese so interesting. The food itself was good. The service was good. And the ambiance was good. But there were definitely some questionable cleanliness issues. They were refilling the sauce containers by the front register. And then they left the open container right by the register where people were checking out. There was sauce dripping everywhere and none of the employees seemed to notice or care. I'm not sure if I would be back here again.

I don't know who trains the people that work at this place, but they need a new career path. It was awful we had four orders none of them were complicated (no sauce here or no they don't like tomatoes). I asked the girl to wrap mine in lettuce and I might as well have asked her to unicycle through the store while juggling cats. She just could not get it and they didn't wrap it the just laid lettuce on it. She look had to remake a burger twice and we had to go up and ask for things so many times because they were missing items or messed up. The burger was bland, so bland, over cooked, and the sauces on the burger were flavorless. Dinner here was exhausting and you could literally watch the whole crew say "I don't know" when a customer asked a question... I mean ANY question... do you serve hamburgers? Do you have lettuce? Can you substitute this for that? Kids meal doesn't come with juice you have to buy it separately. In fact none of the meals came with a drink which makes each meal about $9.00 instead of the $6-7 on the board. I just was flabbergasted by the lack of understanding, lack of training, and lack of taste.

A little overpriced for Mt. Olive. I ordered the rice bowls. The bibimpap was very spicy but pretty good. The crispy chicken was good & spicy, too. Both are recreations of the original so don't expect anything authentic. I ordered bulgogi another day with over easy eggs; got over hard instead (how can they ef up something as easy as eggs you ask). Bulgogi is not bad, not a lot of beef. I wish they would have like a "dinner" version of their meals with more generous servings.

This is right off the highway. There are some familiar bowls of beef, rice and verges and the price is right for what you're going to get. I didn't have a burger but I would go back for one.

I ordered a pretty girl and this is what I got

I ordered a pretty girl and got this.... I also ordered Diet Coke ant it turned out that they had run out and had to "order more". So I paid for water and this crap. This always happen when I order here. Never coming back again.

I can't speak for the burgers, but the hibachi side of the business is quite tasty. I got the vegetable bowl. It was really good. My boyfriend got the pork bowl and he sat his pork was a bit fatty.

Bibimbap with OVER HARD egg? Questionable and disgusting.

I ordered a bibimbap bowl from here last Wednesday. I asked for my egg over hard, but when I got my food, you can see that the cooks had cooked my egg sunny side up and then proceeded to PICK OUT the yolk. Disgusting. Of course I called to let this business know what kind of food their employees were serving, but there was no manager in restaurant? A kind "assistant manager" took my name and number down and told me the manager would return my call the following morning. Four days later, no call. I called again, just for them to tell me they had no record of my information and I was told I would receive a call last night when the manager gets back. Again, no call. Completely unprofessional, given the repulsive nature of my meal. Not to mention, the cashier, Tyler, added a charge to my card without any question. When one person comes to pick up three different orders, the business SHOULD clarify which card to charge, instead of taking it upon themselves to pick a card. This place doesn't care about their customers or the quality of food they serve.

Another Asian-fusion creation from the minds that brought you Sumo's, Ninja Hibachi Express, and Jay's downtown. They seem to have picked the best items from each place and put them in a menu. I had the "Crack Chicken" and the hubs had the "Super Jay" burger. The chicken was awesome!! Spicy & sweet. Fresh & hot. All the things you'd expect from something named "crack chicken". The Super Jay had a good burger, a little thin in my humble opinion and the mushrooms are a bit over-powering for my palate. But the fries were good. Food was served fast. They have also beer, a take out option, and bulgogi. Now if they just served craft beer....

It's just that kind of place that brings me so much comfort. This restaurant is reliable, unfussy, and really good at what it does. As is the case throughout the South, the fresh brewed iced tea is one of the highlights. One sip and it immediately tastes like home. My favorite thing on the menu has always been and will always be the Brunswick stew. It's absolute comfort food that's warm, hearty, and nostalgic in a way that hits every time. It's an Eastern North Carolina tradition, and Smithfield BBQ is one of the best in the business. As for other regional specialities, the hushpuppies deserve their own shoutout too. The slightly sweet cornbread batter is perfectly fried every time, which makes these little carb morsels crunchy on the outside yet soft and fluffy on the inside. I've been eating them dipped in ketchup since I was a kid and I'm not about to stop now. Quit quietly judging me, LOL! The bbq sandwiches are messy and not designed to be easy to eat on the go, but the bbq plates are the best deal. I love getting the pulled pork plate with potato salad (the best). Since I'm Eastern N.C. born and raised, I basically was born with a taste for classic vinegar bbq sauce. Smithfield's is terrific, and I love drowning my pork in that tangy goodness. Every bite seriously brings me back to lazy summer Sundays hanging out with my best friend in my Grandmama's grassy backyard. You can't put a price on those culinary memories.   Service is fast, takeout is easy, the dining room's small but cozy, and there's even a drive-through for when you're in a hurry. Smithfield BBQ is not trying to be trendy or fancy, nor have they ever been. It's just a place that serves really solid Eastern North Carolina BBQ done right. For me, Smithfield's isn't just a restaurant, it's a family tradition.

Very clean and well kept restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. They even have additional picnics tables out back as well. Lots of BBQ options. They also have chicken fingers and tons of sides. They have pork rinds that are great as well. They even sell some merchandise to take home with you. Don't leave without some pulled pork! It's a vinegar based sauce and oh so delicious. The staff is consistently friendly, the food is always great, and the space is clean, lively, and welcoming. It works just as well for families and date nights as it does for friend gatherings or corporate dinners, whether it's a large group or just a few of us out for an offsite meal. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The appetizers are all solid, and I'm fairly certain I've taken down an entire guacamole plate on my own before. The Caesar salad is a favorite, and I usually choose between one of their steaks, which has never disappointed. We've also dined with people who have dietary restrictions including gluten-free and vegetarian needs, and the kitchen has always been accommodating. The atmosphere is fun and energetic, and parking has always been easy and convenient, which is a big plus when you're coming in with a group. One small, constructive note from earlier visits is that a couple of servers were newer and less comfortable with wine recommendations. This is completely understandable and didn't detract from the experience, but having a quick backup or simple pairing guidance could make business dinners even smoother. On our most recent visit, I arrived late and the group had already ordered wine, and the selections were excellent. The food was outstanding, the service was seamless, and everything came together beautifully. Overall, Doc B's continues to be a reliable, enjoyable spot with great food, a welcoming vibe, and strong service. I always look forward to coming back when I'm in town, and if you're ever on the fence, don't hesitate. It's absolutely worth the visit.

Who puts teriyaki sauce on scallops and veggies. Order Hibachi chicken, bam, teriyaki chicken. Never have I been to a Hibachi place, and I have been to a ton, and seen so much teriyaki sauce used on literally everything. Again, who douses the veggies in teriyaki sauce. I've never had such bad food at a hibachi restaurant. I mean the cook could have asked if we wanted teriyaki sauce. Nothing we ordered was teriyaki. Service, young waiter, took our drink order, brought them out and the soup and salad. Had I not asked about dressings I would have got ginger, which I'm not a fan of. When all was done and the waiter asked us how everything was. We told him that everything was covered in teriyaki and we didn't order any teriyaki. Anyways, basically two full plates taken home, mainly because we paid for them, but never again. Seriously, who covers the veggies (zucchini, onions, mushrooms) in 100% teriyaki sauce. She's learning and I can appreciate that. The place appeared to be clean and newly renovated. The exhaust fans and the grills were noticeably cleaner than what we are accustomed to. We were definitely grateful for that. The seating arrangements were closer than we are used to in DC/MD/VA. There were literally five people in our party (four adults and a toddler). There were also two other couples seated with us around one grill. We spent over $200.00 and the chef stole shrimp from us. (See video) Very disheartening that your employees have to steal food. We ordered the Samurai dinner, an additional order of scallops, two Mai Tai, children shrimp, chicken and fried rice, salmon and shrimp, vegetable sushi, steak hibachi, and whatever else is on the receipt. I usually make it my business to graciously tip the chef and graciously tip the server. I did not tip the chef anything because he took his own tip today. Not sure how they generally tip in Goldsboro NC but the waitress/server was super shocked by receiving a 25% gratuity. I've never had two strong Mai Tai for $9.00 each. That's absolutely unheard of in our neck of the woods. I expect for Wafu to contact me and make this right.
