Overpriced, trendy cafe. Huge space (most of which was empty when we visited). The croissants (similar to all of BA) are not good - what could be a nice flaky croissant is ruined by caramelizing sugar on the outside, ruining the texture and making them overly sweet. The service was remarkably slow (even though they weren't busy), and the coffee wasn't anything special. Our favorite bites were the roquefort scones, but they weren't good enough for me to return or recommend this to anyone. read more

Ninina is so pretty and the food is so delicious. The pastries all looked delectable, and I was lucky enough to try a bite (or two... or three) of my friends chocolate DDL cake with merengue. Absolutely incredible; I'm not usually a fan of cake, especially when it's rich chocolate, and this was one of the best ones I've ever had! The frosting was unreal. We enjoyed a few egg dishes, coffees and smoothies. Everyone loved what they had. The avocado toast was great- the palta was fresh, the seasonings were spicy, and the bread was flavorful. Stumbled across this place after noticing that several other nearby restaurants did not accept foreign credit cards. I am VERY glad I came here instead, because it was some of the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. I had the huevos rancheros bowl and it was terrific! A hidden gem in Palermo Soho. Lovely contemporary bakery y sandwiches,with excellent service and great selection of teas and coffees. Lovely English speaking server helped us order. Food is presented beautifully and we were given two small cookies along with our coffee. I think there's another location but not familiar with the area. The decor is clean bright and contemporary with a warm feel and lovely classical music playing at a quiet refined level. There's a clear window in the back of the restaurant where the staff is baking. Very fun to watch. Just noticed the chef behind the counter cleaned the meat slicer after every use. That is quite impressive! Highly recommend this charming modern bakery. read more

Plainly put the service is like a garbage can of puke on New Year's Day. We got our food cold, coffee somewhat cold and for some reason the sides came 20 min later. (It would have been nice to have them with our food as planned) Following which it seemed the staffs attentiveness left the restaurant and the coffee that was supposed to come with the meal didn't come even after continuing attempts to get the waitress' attention. Sunday brunch is amazing at this bakery / restaurant. Perfect breakfast before a long day of walking. I had a cappuccino, oj, and eggs Benedict. The cappuccino was made with love, see the picture. I love this place, whether for meeting up with a close friend for one of their infused teas and one of the oh-so-good tortas (Emilia is so yummy), or for coming with a large group of friends to eat some tasty veggie foods and swallow some delicious juices. We had a group of 10 on a late Saturday afternoon (5pm or so) and ate late lunch in the kitchen at their big table behind the glass window. Service was great, considering we live here and are accustomed to having a meal span 2-3 hours. In the kitchen, you have the sounds of the chef area around you (loved this), and in the dining room, you have the light sound of music from speakers 2 ceilings away and the other guests chit-chatting...both areas were not loud, but also not as quiet as an intimate seating; just right for friends or perhaps a casual date or business meet. They run a very clean and organized kitchen. The meals are prepared with an attention to detail you can appreciate, especially if you have a front and center view of their kitchen. Everything everyone ordered made me wish I had room enough to try them all. Note to travelers from the USA, like most other restaurants in Buenos Aires, you may not get seated quickly or you may not receive your food as quickly as you are accustomed to in the states...be sure not to arrive starving, save room for dessert, and take your time here. read more

This cafe caught my attention with it's high ceiling and open floor plan. Bad news... it's overpriced! 95 pesos for a chai latte is fine... but 85 for one chocolate chip cookie? I don't think so! Let's face it, despite the prevalence of Italian descendants, several cultural gifts did not translate to the New World - coffee and bread. Thanks to a very helpful food blog (http://pickupthefork.com/), we found Ninina. It's not the best bread in BA, but the coffee was superior. As other reviewers noted, the service could be a little uneven (as it is nearly everywhere in BA) but access to good coffee made the trip it worth it. We found Ninina on our second day and went back every day thereafter. Don't go to BA and suffer the crappy coffee. Go to Ninina and enjoy! read more

I dropped in the other night for coffee and dessert. The service level unfortunately is starting to go downhill and is very much on par with what you get in other places in the city. It took about 15-20 minutes to get 2 slices of cake and an espresso and the place was maybe 50% full.There seemed to be many employees hanging around with little regard for customer service.
