Good service with kind waiters. Butter croissant was super flakey and delicious. The lattes were lovely as well. They tasted relatively fresh and had good strength to them. My only complaint is that the almond croissant was EXTREMELY sweet and quite soggy from an excess amount of syrup. But overall great experience. Inside it was not very crowded. It started picking up as we were leaving but it was neat, clean, and beautifully decorated with real flowers and an old timey feel. All of the pastries looked great as well. read more

This has to be the best bakery in the city. It's very French-inspired and a lot of the staff is French. The pastries are delicious. I tried the bread pudding, the chocolate chip cookie, the banana muffin and a fruit danish. The Caesar salad and croque monsieur were also very good. Staff is friendly and welcoming. WiFi works well. Cash and local credit cards only is the only downside next to having to order and pick up your own food separately. read more

This bakery looks super cute and very inviting, but the lunch my friend and I had was pretty horrible. If we had just gotten pastries and relaxed, I would probably give this a much higher score. However, we both got salads and they were horrible. I don't think either of us could tell you why they were so bad, but the flavors were just very off. We did split a chocolate croissant and that was delicious though! Tip: grab a baked good and bring your laptop to work. Just be careful as the power might go out. read more

Order the bread!!! Do NOT order a salad. I got the salmon salad and the salmon was cold, out of a can, like tuna fish. Yucky! On the other hand, the bread is great! The croissants are pretty good, but they are too heavy... too dense! I'm spoiled by Chaumont Bakery in LA, but these croissants are at least baked on site. And they have a nice flavor. Prices are Ok. I read other reviews and it's the disappointing nature of the food that makes you feel like it was too much. I paid ARS 650 (approx USD $11) for a salad and croissant. After walking nearly a mile to eat here since the reviews were so great, I was greatly disappointed. First if you are traveling like I was, they do not accept international credit cards which was such an inconvenience. I also thought it was expensive for what it is. The day I went they were filming for a news interview with the chef or maybe the owner. I had such great expectations for this place. I ended up ordering a cesar salad and a chocolate chip cookie with a lemonade. The salad that I had did not taste right, it has a spoiled taste to it and it was stopped with thinly sliced chicken breast that had no flavor and was hard. Great place for breakfast or brunch. The bread is very fresh and nice, the Parisian sandwich simple but with good quality cheese and boiled ham it is one of the best sandwiches i have had here. Beware of the crust on the baguettes if you are not used to it. The Caesar salad is okay, nice lettuce and chicken but the bacon is terrible and there is only a scent of parmesan. The dressing is heavy on the anchovies but lacks parmesan and is not creamy enough. Good lemonade and tea but they apparently don't have any honey in the building and that takes the joy of drinking tea down for me. read more

My friend and I ended up at this place thanks to Yelp, and oh boy we loved it! What a cute little place. The service was fantastic, and the coffee was excellent. We liked it to so much that we spent like 3 hours in there. I am not giving it 5 stars because we couldn't use credit cards, it's a cash only place, which is inconvenient. Just as an added value, you have to know that they would go the extra mile to help you. I arrived there at 20:08 and they close at 20:00. I was devastated. I asked if I could still get a cold quiche to go and they were more than willing to help me. They added a green salad with nice balsamic dressing and hop! I go! This turned out to be our favorite lunchtime bakery and café. The quiche and salad is huge (we could have shared one!!!) and was delicious... as was the pear and gorgonzola focaccia bread. The orange chocolate tart was so good my wife still dreams about it ;-) Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent!! I was told it was a traditional French bakery and I wasn't disappointed! The bread is amazing (especially the pain brioche with chocolate). For lunch, I tried the Cordon Bleu and their Sandwich club with the marinated chicken! No regrets! Lastly, the home made lemon pie with its meringue was awesome! This was one of our favorite meals in Buenos Aires and by far our favorite breakfast. Beautiful, chic ambiance, the freshest pastries and quiches, and excellent coffee. We sat and enjoyed ourselves until we eventually had to pry ourselves out of our chairs to get back to reality. We stopped by Boulangerie Cocu on a whim to tide us over until dinner. It didn't disappoint. The coffee was excellent. The bread was wonderfully amazing. They had free wifi that we used to figure out our day. All this for few few pesos. I recommend the smoked jamon y queso sandwich. read more
