Quaint little coffee shop and café near where we were staying off of the subway D line and the Bulnes station.
They have quite an assortment of pastries - many of them made with the puff pastry or croissant dough, pastry cream and quince paste. They also have the standard lard or fat based croissants that they call medialunas and quite a few promotions combining coffee, juice and two or three pastries.
It's nearly impossible to find brewed decaf coffee or ground decaf coffee anywhere in Argentina. When you order decaf they basically give you a watered-down version of regular coffee and it is both disgustingly lacking in flavor and still quite high in caffeine which is not good for those of us who can't tolerate it. You're better off bringing some Nescafé powder decaf and ordering hot milk to which you add the decaf powder.
We only had coffee and pastries so we can't speak to any of the other food but others were ordering sandwiches and salads and they all looked decent. The staff is very friendly and it's a nice little getaway for a late morning or early lunch snack. read more
