So I believe the common theme for Argentina is that the service is subpar. People are not very friendly so I would not expect friendly service it just what it is. Cute place for yummy and interesting breakfast in a city that is happy with medialunas! I had avocado toast with an egg and my friend had huevos revueltos( scrambled eggs) with salmon! They were both delicious. Unfortunately the customer service was terrible. Our server never came back to our table once we ordered and I couldn't get his attention. There were plenty of servers but it was hard to get any one of them to bring us the bill. I normally don't write yelp reviews unless the service/food is either excellent or horrendous. Don't come here it will start your day off on the wrong foot. The service is terrible. They don't tell you that you can sit outside on the bar with no wait instead they add you to a list and you stand there puzzled. The food takes forever- portions are small and not that great. Flagging down a server is impossible I don't know if they purposely walk around looking down at the ground to ignore you. Then when you do get their attention they are annoyed and act like they are doing you some grand favor instead of their job. It will take you 1 hour to get a coffee and pastry and about 30min to get the check. read more

Super cute French-inspired Birkin Coffee Bar in Palermo serves LAB. Tostadores de Café coffee NO WONDER their coffee is delicious! LAB is basically a monopoly in this city. Most important points about this cafe: Extensive menu (I've learned in #BsAs you have to disclaim if actual meals are served or if it's basically just a confitería), packed for almuerzo when I got here (2pm), outdoor seating available, loud music, had to ask to restart the wifi, mediocre service, cute barrio. The servers all wear these floral shirts & fedoras. Not ideal for #RemoteWork, so come here for an afternoon cafe con tus boludos! (and I mean that in the most non-derogatory way possible) read more

My friend and I both got the spinach and avocado sandwich. The sandwiches were drowning in mayo, the bread was limp and soggy, and there was barely any avocado in them. Overall, this was one of the worst sandwiches I've ever had. Some of the most horrendous customer service I have ever experienced. My friend and I each ordered El Plato del Día, explicitly written out on the chalkboard as a certain type of salad + drink + dessert OR coffee for 95 pesos. When it came time for dessert, we ask for our options. The waitress tells us cookie, brownie, or cake. So we each order cake. When the bill comes EVERYTHING is charged at its original separate price not taking into account the deal, we're talking our waters charged, our salads charged, and both cakes charged. When we ask the waitress about it, she explained it was her first day and she didn't really know what was going on and that the cake actually was not included in the deal.....Upon speaking to whom I presume was the shift lead, we were told that it was the waitress's first day and that we would still have to pay for the cake because it wasn't included in the plato del día deal and basically told the entire thing was somehow our fault.. (laugh out loud ridiculous). The shift lead was extremely rude and slammed the new bill down on the table with a bottle of water STILL charged on the bill. To say the very least, we will not be coming back here and I do NOT recommend. The food is also nothing to get excited about. read more
