Fresh, wonderful flavors of Eech.

Nina's Bakery is absolutely a must visit for delicious, fresh, authentic Armenian Food and goodies! I have visited this awesome family owned business for years! We have had them cater events & grab market items for creating our own delicious Armenian Foods. I stopped by today in the late afternoon, and everything I wanted was fully stocked. In the refrigerated section, I got fresh Yalanchi, Tabouli, Eech, Baba Ganoush, and Hummus. All these were super delicious, & authentic - & these items I got happen to be Vegan! Being 100% Armenian, let me tell you, I have attended numerous events and their mezza (Armenian Appetizers) are either the ones being served, or they would rival anyone else's! I love that I can count on Nina's to stock my fridge with consistent, delicious flavors! Also picked up some pita bread and Chorag too! Other family faves from here are lahmajoon, tourshi, lavash, manti, & braided string cheese. FYI-The feel when you enter is very welcoming, and it's always nice to be greeted by a member of the family. You can often see the hard working employees in the back making fresh items too. Shelves are stocked & organized with pantry items, refrigerated, and freezer items as well. When I love something, I want others to know about it- so there ya go! Enjoy, go check them out!

Ask the Community - Nina's Bakery

Any word as to when Nina's will open? Or if it will. It is our family's go to and their loss is is palpable 😢

Bakery is open!

When is the openning date? Why is it taking so long?

I was near there this week and see some construction stuff in the building but no workers...I am looking forward to it opening....too.

Is this place opened yet?

Yes. Now open.

Where will the new location be?

7054 N Herndon next to DiCicco's, same strip mall as The Market. Just called them, watch for a February 2019 opening! :)

So it's a month later now, has the new location opened yet and where is it?

They will be at Herndon and West. As of November 10th they are still not open.

Has the bakery opened in their new location?

I was just there on The 15th and it's not open yet 🙁.

My wife and I 's go to is the number 3 combo - which is a chicken and beef kabob plate. The meat is so tender, juicy and flavorful- you don't even need a knife to cut through it. This meal is perfection and I wouldn't change a thing. My only recommendation is to add the hot sauce to it to dip your steak and chicken in it. Trust me, the extra 75 cents is worth it. The meal comes standard with rice, humus, cucumber/ tomato salad and pita bread. My wife and I always opt for the bulgur rice pilaf which has a chewier texture than the standard rice pilaf. To me , this is the best Mediterranean food that I have ever had - anywhere! This is the restaurant that I compare all other places to . Go now - you won't be disappointed!

To make matters worse the little girl at the order counter had an attitude and wanted to argue about whether the chicken was called "protein" or "chicken". I told her if I wanted protein I'd drink a protein drink and I'm pretty sure I've been calling chicken "chicken" my entire life . Yea there are way too many middle eastern places to keep punishing myself coming here.

My husband and I actually started coming here because we received a gift certificate on our wedding day, so every visit has always been meaningful to us. Unfortunately, our most recent visit completely changed how I feel about this restaurant. Our waitress was Brenda (a middle-aged Caucasian woman with glasses). I want to be clear about who served us because my receipt also listed the name Brenda, and I would hate for another employee to receive this review by mistake. We were seated fairly quickly even though it was a very busy night and the restaurant was full. I want to say upfront that I completely respect how hard servers work, and I understand busy nights happen. However, after sitting for quite a while without anyone taking our order, I politely told Brenda that we were ready. I am diabetic and was not feeling well, so the wait was starting to affect me. Her response was, "Sorry, we're really busy tonight and there are only three of us waitressing." I understood that they might be short staffed, but at the very least she could have taken our drink order. Instead, she continued cleaning tables and serving other customers. I watched four different tables get seated after us and receive drinks, salads, and appetizers before we even placed our order. As someone who has been coming here for years, I have never felt so uncomfortable or overlooked in this restaurant. In 2026, no customer should feel that way anywhere. When our food finally came, everything arrived at once -- our hummus, salad, and entrée -- which made the experience feel rushed and poorly handled. When I asked Brenda for more napkins, she never returned to our table. We eventually had to go to the register ourselves to pay because she never brought our check. Before leaving, I explained to her how the situation made me feel. She responded with several explanations about being busy and short staffed, but that was never the real issue. The issue was the way we were treated. She forgot who we were all night but when it came to pay my tab, she definitely knew what table we were sitting at because her response was. I'll get your tab for table 3.. The food was amazing as it has always been, but sadly the service we received completely ruined the experience. After nearly nine years of coming here, this will unfortunately be my last visit.

House of Kebab - This isn't the only ceiling tile working its way to the guest room floor. Others were visibly sagging from their beams, like bubbles.

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.
