Adjarski or Ajarakan egg boat sandwich. The crust is stuffed with cheese.
    Sophie A.

The most authentic Armenian bread bakery Fresno. This is where you go to get authentic manaiesh bread made with za'atar seasoning which is vegan; traditional cheese or spicy cheese byoreg made with Aleppo pepper; spinach filled byoreg, also vegan; the zestiest lahmajune (Armenian Pizza) and Adjarski or ajarakan egg boats. Don't let the simple menu fool you. Look up how to serve and eat each of these items online. TheseThese are Armenian breakfast and brunch staples, that you get hot and fresh and wash it down with tahn (buttermilk) also available in jugs. Some menu items are customizable. Be sure to ask. Everything is made to order so if you don't want to wait, call ahead. It is family owned and they are related to Hollywood's famous Sassoon Bakery and Taron bakery which serve up the best lahmajune in LA. They share the family recipe and this is the closest thing you'll get to the traditional flavor we craved from LA! So grateful to find authentic, traditional Armenian baked goods here in Fresno. Looking forward to seeing what other menu items they will expand upon in the future.

We love our lahmujune ( Armenian pizza) and my brother in law found this place and said it was his favorite. From the thin, crispy crust to the spices and meat. We walked in and wanted to order a bunch of different borek, maniesh, and lahmujune. Varujan offered us a tasting of the spinach borek, cheese borek and lahmujune. It was the best we have ever had, brother in law was right! We ordered a ton to go for us and mother in law. We don't live in town anymore but this will be a regular stop whenever we visit.

Pros: Neat and clean. Good service. Decent price for food and portion size. Food was alright. Cons: Small dining area. Wish there was more filling in the pastries.

Yummmmm! I've never had Armenian pastries before and don't have anything really to compare it to but this has to be one of the best things I've had to date. Everything was fresh. I think my favorite was the lahmajune. So light thin and crispy. It's not a sweet pastry, it's savory but I can down probably 5 of these in one sitting. And it's so cheap! The staff were all so sweet and friendly. Very helpful because like I've mentioned I've never had these type of pastries. They explained everything to me. And on top of that he gave me some free ones to sample! All so good. I didn't even know there was a bakery here. It's definitely a hidden gem . And just opened not that long ago. This is a must try. I will definitely be coming here again!

I found this bakery by the reviews and it reminds me of my Mom's Lebanese cooking ! The Lahmajoun is delicious and light very tasty! I will be back for sure and the owner is very nice.

    Napoleon cake :p

Quality ingredients one can taste! The lahmajune was super fresh and tasty! The bread portion was thin and crispy. The amount and quality of meat was amazing! The spices were perfect and it was juicy. Kids loved it too! (One of the kids is super picky, but she loved it and asked for more). The cheesbureg and spinach bites were very yummie too! What I really want to highlight is the NAPOLEON cake, oh my gosh, it was extraordinary: light and flaky, super fresh and real butter (which is rare nowadays)! I could not find a Napoleon that is not imported from LA lately (yes some grocery stores have them, but those are more custard than anything else). This Napoleon beats any Napoleon imported from LA! I will be back for sure!!!

One of my favorite bakeries. Very simple menu, & my favorite is their lahmajun & cheese borek. All at an affordable price.

Like pork buns are 3.00 cash and 3.09 credit card. But at least that's an option now. Warmly greeted and helped at the front counter when I walked in. Looks like a traditional Chinese bakery with their decor and set up and heard the front counter lady say their food is more based on the south side of China. Their steam pork buns will always be a favorite. I was lucky enough to walk in when they brought out a fresh new batch so it was still nice and warm when I got home. Dough is sweet and fluffy with their bbq pork filling. For 3.00 a bun, it was quite smaller than I remember. The ratio of the dough and filling was also not as portioned. Some bites you just get the dough. First time having their steam chicken buns and was surprised to see that it was sliced chicken with veggies and a slice boiled egg. This was not it for me. It was like eating a stir fry in a bun. Though this bun was bigger and more portioned than the steam pork buns. This was also my first time trying their Shumai dumplings. The flavor was there. A nice umami flavor. But I was missing the bouncy texture of the meat. And for 4 for 7.00 they were pretty small (compared to the dim sum places). Looking forward to trying other others on their menu now that the menu and signs are easier to see/read.

The restaurant was extremely busy, so I do recommend making reservations ahead of time. The service could have been a little better, but considering how packed it was, it felt more overwhelmed than rude. One thing to know ahead of time: Diet Cokes come in cans, not fountain drinks, so there are no refills. The biggest disappointment for us was the limited menu selection that day. There were mostly sandwiches and not a lot of variety. I ordered the quiche, which ended up needing extra sauces on the side because it felt a little plain on its own. My husband ordered the French toast, and that was actually very good. Ambiance was alright - a little cramped but the live music gave it a touch of class. Overall, I'd still recommend trying this place, just maybe not on a major holiday when the menu is limited and the restaurant is packed. I'd be willing to give it another shot on a normal weekend because I have a feeling the regular menu probably offers a much better experience.
