Recently got the BBQ bun as a snack and was disappointed. I do believe that the dough and portion of the meat inside has changed from their past recipe and it just didn't hit. Due to that, i'd probably not come back.
No ambiance, no seating...just good food to go! Service is fine. I reviewed once before, but adding another. Gotta say it again...their roast pork & bbq pork by the pound are so worth it. Wanted onion bun (a fave) but they didn't have it, but was able to snag some egg custards. Soooo good! Dumping, sesame ball, bbq pork bun & pastry are all great too. Wish we had a huge Chinese bakery like in SF, but we're lucky to have these folks here in Fresno. Go support them!
Always loved their food and it's been a while since we've made a stop. I was near the area so I decided to get some goodies. We had the Crispy Pork Belly, Pork steamed buns, Chicken steamed bugs with egg, and baked pork buns. The Crispy pork belly was on point as always. Pork steam buns were nice and fresh as well. We decided to get the chicken with egg steam buns because my son loves them but this was a definite no for us. It was bland and no absolute flavor at all, it was actually disappointing. The baked pork buns were mid, not as good as I remembered and probably won't be getting it again. Service was nice and quick, which I love! Place seems nice and clean as well.
Very fast, a little pricey. Great service. The food was just a little bit more on the bland side for me. I got the roast duck bowl with added pork belly, I think it was like $25. The roast duck is decent, not bad but I've had better. Roast pork is average. But great place for quick roast duck and pork.

It's really a takeout place not to sit down to eat but that's fine. The insight was decorated in Chinese new year, which is the horse. I will be back soon to get their dozen, but if you buy all same varieties, you get the 13 free. Another insight is a take credit cards now and before they didn't only cash base.
Very friendly staff. I went early and could see people in the back busy baking and cooking. It doesn't matter what I purchase because everything is delicious. In fact, Bakery Delight, can be busy at peak times. Definitely worth the wait. Bright lighting from large pane windows, this is perfect because you see all their "Delightful" treats. Moon cakes still available.
A Fresno staple. The pineapple bun (doesn't have pineapple in it) is my favorite, tastes but not too sweet. And for savory the bbq pork bun is great! A little on the sweet side. One of those classic hole in the wall spots. Service is all about business being how busy they are, but they are all nice.
Amazing customer service. Place was clean, food fresh and displayed nicely. Great prices for quality! Roasted duck was $40 for whole ducked chopped, meaty and juicy! Roasted pork was nicely seasoned as well. Def think this business takes customers and reviews into consideration. Menu is more modernized/updated now and they post new creations with limited amounts on their instagram. Stopped by to try their ube cinnamon roll today. Remember cash only!

Bakery Delights offers humble Chinese pastries for cash only. Service was speedy yet friendly. The pastries are notably better earlier in the day as they stop being replenished. As they're on displayed for hours, the fried items end up being a tad greasy and limp. *Fried Pork Dumpling: was crispy and golden when I first visited but subsequent orders were oily and soft. The meat filling was salty, sweet and umami with an occasional juicy, savory bite of mushroom. There could have been a bit more meat filling inside though. *Egg Tart: the crust was mostly flakey but the center was soft from the oil. The custard was mildly sweet with subtle creaminess. The flavor wasn't the most pronounced I've tried and I wished there was greater browning on top. They're a bit small for $3. I'll still come back if I have a few spare dollars and craving for a meat dumpling but I understand that it's a gamble on the quality.

It has been a tradition of my mom and I to shop at RN Asian grocery market (back when it was right next door) and going to this bakery after. I love it for the nostalgia and the moon cakes * insert drool here From my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong, they are the only Chinese bakery in town. Popular items are the steamed or baked pork buns , my family lives for the steamed pork buns especially in cold weather. They also have guava pastries, sesame balls and egg tarts. All of which are delicious. While picking up a usual order of steamed buns to take to my parents I thought to try the bbq pork plate $12.99. (Pictured) charsui pork served with a ton of rice and broccoli. Delicious in its on right however nothing to go running home about. 3/5 stars for me. Wish it came with a noodle option or a dipping sauce . Service was good, a quick in and out establishment. No seats to dine in. My only con is it's CASH ONLY. It has always been cash only which can be a little inconvenient. I just have to remember to get cash back from RN market and make my way to this bakery to continue my little market/ bakery tradition.
We have been coming here for years and it has improved so much with the new owners! The food is fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and quick. The ambiance is typical of a Chinese bakery. There are a couple of tables and chairs, no music,Chinese spoken in the kitchen. Such a delight!
I don't know if they're reading their reviews but every time I try them I feel like they're fixing the previous complaints I've had. Last time I complained that they weren't giving enough meat in their buns I'd rather pay more for more meat and a year later--trying them again, they giving more meat in their buns. And really tasty btw. I give them big props. They're doing great. I love a place that grows, especially with their customers.
It's been awhile since I've been here and looks there's there's been some updates. Their menu items are on tv screens now and they take credit cards but with a bit of a price difference. Like pork buns are 3.00 cash and 3.09 credit card. But at least that's an option now. Warmly greeted and helped at the front counter when I walked in. Looks like a traditional Chinese bakery with their decor and set up and heard the front counter lady say their food is more based on the south side of China. Their steam pork buns will always be a favorite. I was lucky enough to walk in when they brought out a fresh new batch so it was still nice and warm when I got home. Dough is sweet and fluffy with their bbq pork filling. For 3.00 a bun, it was quite smaller than I remember. The ratio of the dough and filling was also not as portioned. Some bites you just get the dough. First time having their steam chicken buns and was surprised to see that it was sliced chicken with veggies and a slice boiled egg. This was not it for me. It was like eating a stir fry in a bun. Though this bun was bigger and more portioned than the steam pork buns. This was also my first time trying their Shumai dumplings. The flavor was there. A nice umami flavor. But I was missing the bouncy texture of the meat. And for 4 for 7.00 they were pretty small (compared to the dim sum places). Looking forward to trying other others on their menu now that the menu and signs are easier to see/read. read more
Decided to stop by before it was closing time and grabbed a small container of their bbq pork. Although customer service was good, the bbq pork was not. It was dry AF and not as moist as I thought. This is just based on that dish alone because I have had their bbq pork buns and actually thought they were okay. I've had their coconut bread and enjoyed that as well but this order right here was not it. I would like to come back though to try their roasted pork with the greens. Hopefully it's not dry like this bbq pork. read more

No ambiance, no seating...just good food to go! Service is fine. I reviewed once before, but adding another. Gotta say it again...their roast pork & bbq pork by the pound are so worth it. Wanted onion bun (a fave) but they didn't have it, but was able to snag some egg custards. Soooo good! Dumping, sesame ball, bbq pork bun & pastry are all great too. Wish we had a huge Chinese bakery like in SF, but we're lucky to have these folks here in Fresno. Go support them! read more

We have been coming here for years and it has improved so much with the new owners! The food is fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and quick. The ambiance is typical of a Chinese bakery. There are a couple of tables and chairs, no music,Chinese spoken in the kitchen. Such a delight! read more
I don't know if they're reading their reviews but every time I try them I feel like they're fixing the previous complaints I've had. Bakery delights has been a STAPLE since I was in elementary! Breads and pastries are as good as ever, with some cute new additions! Younger staff managing the front have made a friendly impact and are probably behind the innovation :D I believe they're still a CASH only establishment, so make sure you come prepared! Our favorites are the baked BBQ pork buns, egg tarts, and plain rice cakes. I've had famous buns at chinatown SF and NY, but I still prefer my local chinese bakery! read more

Just thought I put a post on the pork bun. It's a little too salty and if you want your sodium intake to be high with a high blood pressure then it's for you. I hope this can do some changes on the recipe, please make it lesser salty, was not only my opinion but many others also. Beside this , everything is delicious with a 4 to 5 star from me read more

Ordered a roast pork over rice today, the lady up front was very nice & greeted us upon entering. She told the man in the back of our order and we didn't wait too long either since there wasn't anyone except a couple dining in. We got our roast pork order & headed home, half way I decided to check to grab a piece and boy was I shocked ! The man literally gave us nothing, but pieces of fat. I just couldn't understand how they can serve that to their customers. Almost $15 for that dish, I feel so disappointed that I got ripped off! As a reminder just make sure to check your orders before leaving the place, so you know what you'll get for what you pay. read more

I cannot speaking to authenticity, however comparing the buns in Seattle these fall short. I ordered the BBQ Pork baked and steamed ... I also tried the hot dog bun as well as the roasted pork plate. The baked buns were a little doughy on the bottom making them super soggy. I was pleased with the amount of meat, but a little too much fat for my liking. The plate ... the pork belly had a lovely crust in it. However, I am not used to more than half fat to meat ratio. I did not end up eating it. My favorite thing was the hotdog bun sadly. I recommend it to maybe those who like what I described. It's just different than what I experienced in Seattle. read more

A bad batch of bbq pork bun lacking love and flavor. Not enough gelatin with the pork for a better texture. Doughs dry, not bouncy. More bread than filling. Just sad. And you sell these for $4?? read more
Omg YUM! I didn't even know that this place existed until I visited it for a yelp event! Wonderful customer service and delicious food! I picked up the ube coconut cream cheese pie and the baked bbq pork bao on the way home from work and it was the perfect little treat. I will definitely be back! This place is no frills but their buns are yummy. The man behind the counter was very friendly so I appreciated that since I don't come across that very much these days. I have had their steamed buns many times but decided to try the baked pork bun and their hot dog bun. Sounds odd but that was actually my favorite of the variety I got. Too bad my kids ate them all, and wanted more! They are still cash only so prepare before you go. Most of the items were 2 for $5 which is kind of pricey but considering it's a local establishment with (hopefully) less or no preservatives, you get what you pay for and it's worth it. read more
If this place took card, I'd eat myself into a coma. I will ride and die on this place. If I need two pork buns for a meal for less than $10 then this is the place. I'm delighted I work by this place but even more sad that it's closed by the time I get out. I always end up getting sweets from here and if I so happen to have the time to go here, I always grab a rice cake and moon cake. read more

This place is a fresno gem! The service is so friendly and efficient and the baked goods are fantastic! There's such a variety, with everything from pork buns to sesame balls to ube pies and egg custard tarts and more! They even have the cutest breads in shapes of turtles and bunnies! I will say that I love how the meat in the pork bun is fresh tasting and never grisly or chewy. This is a cash only business so make sure to be prepared to pay the old fashioned way, but it's worth it! read more
A Fresno Gem! I've been coming here since I was a kid. Our favorites are the baked pork buns. Recently went back and noticed their selection looks so much bigger! I got some sweets this time and they were all super good. Staff is nice. I can't wait to be back and try their food options. My only wish is that they start taking card! read more

I got the hot dog and coconut obe with cream cheese. The hot dog was good. I'm not sure if you can get them warmed up. But seems like it would taste better warm, too. But it was still good. The decor could have been Cuter, but the staff was nice ! read more
Small little bakery in a strip mall setting on the corner of Herndon and cedar, in the bad buds gas station shopping area. More of a grab and go place . When we went ,there was a line and rightfully so. You can purchase meat that they cook ( pork and duck) by the pound or get their yummy buns. I added a list of what they are baking right now with prices so check out the pictures. We went in on 3/19/23 just to try a few of their options . We got the baked bbq pork bun, steamed bbq pork bun, pineapple bun, onion bun, and hot dog bun all were $1.75 each. The pork buns had a lot of filling and tasted amazing. The buns themselves were buttery and soft! Just total yum .. will be back soon read more

My daughter and I have been searching far and wide for red bean buns and I'm so thankful that I came across this café that not only sells red meat buns. They had an assortment of other bakery goods and even roasted duck, and a roasted pig. We ordered a few red bean buns and sesame seed, red bean balls and my daughter wanted to try a steamed pork bun. The only take cash so I had to find an ATM nearby. Luckily there was one across the street. There is a long line, but it's worth the wait! read more

Do they sell baguettes?
They don't sell baguettes. They sell bbq pork buns, coconut buns, onion buns, pinaaple buns, bbq ducks , bbq pork, etc. mostly Chinese buns.
Do they have roast ducks?
Tiff not sure but they have a few options. Good stuff if you feel like getting out of the box 📦 all in all give 'em credit for coming back, love the bao. Good luck to the family. I hope to stop by next time I'm in Fresno. Happy New year

Has anyone had the Moon Cakes? My daughter loves the movie Over the Moon and wants to try one. Dont know where to find them other than this result that popped up.
You can find Moon cakes at SF Market on the corner of Kings Canyon and Willow, by the bakery/bread section, next to the produce. They don't always have them, but I know they carry them.

No. There is a sign saying they're not going to open until they get vaccinated.
