When I got there, of course I was upsold an additional $30. I have eyelash extensions, so I asked if the daughter could ask the mom if she had something to protect my lashes. They ensured me that my lashes would be fine, as they have several customers that wear lashes. At the end of the appointment, my lashes were a mess. I didn't feel that she "protected" my lashes like what was conveyed to me. They were a mess, and if you wear extensions, you know how expensive they could be. So I wasn't ecstatic about that. The environment in the room was cozy, and the table was warm. The mom bundled me up with blankets and I felt good. There wasn't any calming music, and I just heard the television from the main nail room. It would've been nice to have some soothing music, to cultivate a full relaxing experience. While I ultimately enjoyed the facial, I found parts of the facial experience to be rough. She massaged my shoulders, top part of my chest and facial pressure points. Later, the daughter told me she did acupuncture as well. It was kind of hard and not very relaxing for me. At the end, the daughter said that in order to obtain the full benefits of the facials, she advised me to come at least weekly. In this economy, I can't afford to come weekly or even biweekly.
