For decades, my Evanston condo has been under their management and the person assigned as our agent does absolutely as little as possible or nothing at all to help with issues. She NEVER responds to emails or calls and the protocol is that she is supposed to be responsible for issues that arise in our building. Terrible management company. read more

Awful organization. My condo association has an account with them. Whenever I have questions, they never get answered. Great when it comes to a sale but an F when it comes to servicing account. My inquiries always go ignored. The whole staff is awful on follow up. Alice is awful. It`s all about them. read more

Stay away!! Did nothing to manage the property I owned the condo at. Do not hire them! Scammed and charged closing cost for a condo even though no paperwork was signed and the "property management" was not there when the condo was purchased. Reported . read more

bully their own tenants to pay fees, forced on HOA bill. does nothing to help or fix anything in our condo, been complaining for months... almost a year. My condo filled with water due to another tenants negligence and no one helped. They never return phone calls and their voice mails are always full, one of the owners himself lied to me assuring me everything will be ok and he will take care of everything. Never heard from him again. Tim Brenda John All terrible employees/owner I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy, stay away read more

i strongly suggest that you do NOT use Nimorod Realty. i won't bore you with the details, but phone calls are not returned, emails are not responded to, and there is a complete lack of concern for the client. I would strongly suggest looking anywhere else for your needs. read more

Worst company ever, doesn't answer phone calls, doesn't help with emergencies and they discriminate. Lies from all of the staff then they turn hostile read more

This company should not be in business. They never get back to you and after receiving a double assessment payment and never even letting the old owner know they received it hung up on us when we asked why they had not gotten back to us or at least left us a message that they had office issues and would get back to us. Rude and Unprofessional!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Nimrod make empty promises and later don't answer emails or voicemails. It is the worst property management company I have experienced as a landlord. Very unprofessional. Do not waste your time with this company. read more

well I've lived in my place for about 6-7 years and these people are the worst group of people you could imagine. I think their name really says it all. I wish I had more time to get on the HOA and fire these people as the property management company. they replace 3 ft on the curb at a time only to have the plow company smash and destroy brand new curbs year after year. we haven't had hallway lights for about six months and one of my windows has been painted shut for about 5 years now. I've repeatedly called and told Brenda about these issues and no resolve. I was just trying to call and no one is there to answer the phone. since 10am its not 1130am. pretty ridiculous read more

They USED to manage our building. Nothing ever got done. Our rep would come to association meetings and blatantly lie to us. We're thinking about a lawsuit or 2. If you're with Nimrod, well...I'd think again. Examples: -They let our Elevator certificate expire, told us it was OK. City disagreed. -The city wanted us to get some sort of backflow valve replaced. "Estimate" from Nimrod's people $2K-ish, and no hurry. Next thing we know, the city wants to shut off the building's water immediately for non-compliance just as we're switching off from Nimrod (as they dropped the ball). Reality check, the work cost more than $30K. read more

STAY AWAY FROM NIMROD REALTY AT ALL COSTS! Terrible, terrible people skills. They will accuse you of anything to make the other tenants feel better without a sliver of proof about anything. If you want something done, you better have the maintenance guys cell number or NOTHING will get fixed. DO NOT RENT WITH NIMROD IF YOU CAN HELP IT!!!! read more

Incompetence! How many times does it take a management company to complete a condo questionnaire from a lender? The answer at Nimrod is FOUR times. Our closing has been delayed (and may cause the sale to be canceled) because of their laziness and inability to produce answers to questions such as "what is the reserve balance?". Repairs were not completed in the time promised also causing delays to the appraisal. Not to mention one of the guys doing the repairs to the unit was completely drunk and stunk of alcohol. If that is the type of worker you want in your building and home (what happens if the worker gets injured in a common area) please hire Nimrod. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. read more

Let me just say that the girls at Nimrod Realty are great. Always ready to help, even putting my association due on auto pay. Great idea. Nimrod Maintenance is a whole different story. Unfriendly and unprofessional. Did some work that I did NOT ask for and them billed me for it. When I called to discuss he was very argumentative and told me take it up with the board! What? Are you kiding me? STAY AWAY FROM NIMROD MANTENANCE. read more

This is to update my previous review...... Received an official Statement of Account. Good job Nimrod. read more

We recently sold a unit in the Pinecrest Condominum complex, which is managed by Nimrod Realty. The sale required us to update/repair several issues in our unit, within a short period of time, and Nimrod Maintenance was very helpful and responsive throughout the process. Oscar and his assistant were very patient as I explained the various jobs I needed completed, they asked my preferences about options, and made great choices when they purchased materials needed to complete the work. Megan at the Nimrod office office kept me informed throughout the process, so I never worried we had been forgotten. Besides the recent experience during our sale process, we have been very happy with every interaction we've had with the Nimrod folks over the years we have owned this property. I'd recommend this company to any HOA looking for a good management company. read more

What a bunch of lazy people! They will never respond to emails or phone calls. Avoid at all cost! Sad that they are in GLENVIEW! Most companies in this area are first class! Hmmm how did they get in? read more

I am the president of our HOA, and it was a fantastic relief to switch from our prior management group to Nimrod a few years ago. It was astonishing to find out as we were moving things over how many things were not done by the prior management company that board members were told had been done. We occasionally have a bump, but so does the company I work for. I'm a tough critic and usually don't give 5 stars to even my favorite restaurants. It cost our association a little more money, which a couple of the board members were not in favor of at the time, but now I'd say we are all please we made the change. Reports are on time and complete. Staff is very courteous. I would highly recommend Nimrod Realty Group for your condo association or homeowner association management. I've seen the other side, and trust me, you get what you pay for if you go bargain shopping. read more

I rented an apartment from Nimrod and I ended up feeling like I was living in the twilight zone. The manager of the building I lived in was Bob Kavc, someone who had worked for this reality group for over 30 years. There were so many episodes I can't even count, yet the worst was when Bob knocked on my door and I didn't answer, so he opened the door and came in. This was without notice. I wasn't even dressed, when I yelled at him he stated, he came in because he wanted to give me some mail. When I called to complain about him, it appeared as if he was a relative of the owner or something. After that one time, he knew not to come in without another employee being present, yet when I didn't open the door, he would then go downstairs and open and close the garage door a zillion times, at 6 am in the morning. I was above the garage. read more

I honestly wish I could give this company 0 stars instead of 1 based on the way they handled my situation. I was a resident in one of their properties for two years and recently moved out on September 1st. I was waiting to receive my security deposit back from Nimrod during the entire month of September and literally had to call them every week to make sure they were still sending the check to me. Every week I spoke to Brittany in accounting and every week she had a new excuse for why it couldn't be sent out; the property manager was on vacation, they only send checks out on Thursdays, etc. However, when she did finally say that she mailed the check, I had to wait for 11 days for it to come in the mail and it never came. I called twice during that time and Brittany stated "just give it a couple more days" even though I had been waiting for 7 days at that point (mail usually doesn't take that long to be delivered). After 11 days passed with no check in the mail, I said that I would come in and pick up the check since it clearly was not in the mail. When I got to the office, I was told my check got "lost in the mail" even though I verified that the address they were sending it to was correct with Brittany the day before the check was allegedly sent. So overall I was being repeatedly lied to by Brittany for no legitimate reason which I think is extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend staying in a Nimrod property in the future for this reason. read more

I only gave them one star because it wouldn't allow me to select NEGATIVE STARS. Our coop had the misfortune to be mismanaged by Nimrod. The service was dreadful and the people skills of our manager were deplorable. Lazy, rude, incompetent, and a habitual liar. Fotunately, we finally had a board with enough sense to fire them. The new management company had done more in four months than Nimrod did in years. A sham of a company. read more

Garbage. Same maintenance issues as others who posted. Lazy combined with stupid and disorganized. Stay away if possible.

This is the WORST Management Co. Our rep never answers the phone and only returns calls after MANY messages. The "Emergency" contact person will only email your representative, so there is no emergency contact. When my rep. finally called back after 3 messages and an email from "Emergency" and MANY days, he refuses to listen to my problem, cutting me off every time I opened my mouth and tells me he called the Association President for an explanation of the problem, even though I had only asked him who to contact about it. He acted like he knew what the problem was without letting me explain it. To top it off, he tells me the exact opposite of what the city says! When I finally had had enough of him cutting me off, I interrupted him and asked him to listen to me, he hung up on me. That's their customer service!?! This is a terrible Company, and I never waste time writing reviews, but I had to warn the unsuspecting public. read more
