And this was when houses were selling super fast during the pandemic (spring-summer 2021). I eventually realized she "bought the listing", as several neighbors had suggested. When I asked her why there were no offers sooner, she mentioned two obstacles (being across from a park, and not having a big backyard); and said she didn't know they would pose problems. Seriously? My house finally sold for more than $60,000 below the original list price. Very dissatisfactory.

I lived in one of their units for two years, and for the most part...it was fine. They are the…read moretypical Chicago management company- they are super nice while searching and move in, then you kinda get ignored. They have properties that are pretty spread out, so while maintenance issues get addressed, it seems like the awesome maintenance guy (Patrick) is spread a little thin. My biggest issue was within the last year of me moving out. There were serious issues with the bathroom and tiles falling off, and with the extensive dampness in the last year, I believe the roof was leaking through the drywall in my apartment. The walls and roof started to bubble and crack. At the first sign, I let them know. They did nothing about it despite many notifications. When they decided to start showing the apartment 3 months before my move out, I warned them that the ceiling looks like it's about to fall in and the walls look awful. Some frat bro they apparently hired recently argued with me to the end of the earth that I had never told them about the damage and it wasn't that bad and I was just being difficult about them wanting to show my apartment 3 times per day. Lo and behold after the first showing, they cancelled all following showings and decided to remodel my unit after I moved out. So overall, things were mediocre while I lived there, and a nightmare for the last few months. They were uncommunicative upon move out, and apathetic at best in terms of the quality of apartments. FYI, they've got my old apartment listed with a remodeled kitchen and glued back on shower tiles. It was a one bedroom when I lived there, they slapped a door on the living room, labeled it as a 2 br, and added $550 to the rent price. I pity the fool that moves into that place.

My experience has left me seriously concerned about whether some agents and the attorneys they recommend are working together in a way that benefits the professionals involved rather than the client. I was extremely disappointed with my experience. My agent sent my home inspection report to an attorney for contract-related matters without notifying me or discussing it with me beforehand. He also attempted to negotiate aspects of my contract through an attorney he had recommended, again without first discussing those actions with me or getting my direction. As the client, I expected to be informed and consulted before significant communications or decisions were made regarding my transaction. Instead, I felt that important steps were being taken behind my back. That seriously undermined my trust and confidence in the agent and in the way my transaction was being handled. My experience has made me believe that clients need to be extremely cautious when an agent recommends an attorney and should make sure they understand exactly what is being communicated and negotiated on their behalf. I would strongly recommend that anyone working with this agent insist on being informed and consulted before any significant action is taken regarding their contract or transaction.

The second encounter she just walked in the unit and proceeded to yell at the tenant he wasnt supposed to be there when the homeowner clearly told the tenant they did not have to leave the premises that day.
