The Gyros meat was not fresh, it tasted old. The gyros sauce was so distasteful. It was runny and tasted like vinegar. I also ordered a Greek salad. The overall appearance looked so good. Still one of my favorite quick-bite restaurants. The food here is good quality, and they have very fair prices for what you get. I stopped in today and got the Chicken Cesar pita sandwich with a side of regular fries. The pita was so stuffed with fresh grilled chicken, lettuce, onions, cucumbers, and tomato's that with another pita I would have had two sandwiches. I can't think of many places where you get that much food for under $7. And the pita sandwich was delicious. read more

I may have a different experience on gyros living in Palm Harbor Florida next Tarpon Springs which has a huge Greek community many Greek restaurants. The gyro was OK. More authentic than some places here. The staff is friendly but the place is pretty much a dump. Has potential. Probably would not go back. I did have Galvins gyros and I think those are the closest to what I am used to. read more

Not only did the manager offer a refund, he is delivering it personally to our office. 5 star customer service from Nikos is giving me a change of heart. Lesson - Customer Service matters! Food arrived at 12:35. The double burger we were charged for is a single. The chicken in the pita is dry and cold. The bun, pita, and onion rings are soggy. YUCK. Worst lunch ever. Food was good but the counter service was very poor. Usually a place that has issues with false coupons posts it at the counter but when we tried to use our coupon we were told it was not valid. Whatever. So when my coworker went to pay for her meal that cost $8.55 with nine $1 bills the counter guy was upset and said "so this is how we are going to do this?". Then when this same counter guy gave us our drinks we asked which drink was which he told us that we will just figure it out. So decent food, but not sure if I will bother to go back. read more

Such a wonderful hidden gem. It always seems empty, but there is usually someone leaving as I arrive and someone else arriving as I get my to go order. The food is great, although I've only tried the gyros plate. Gyros meat is tasty and well cooked, served on a soft pita with lettuce, tomato, and onion and a delicious tzadziki sauce on the side. The plate comes with a choice of salad or fries and a side of fresh feta, kalamata olives, and peperoncini. The plate is worth it just for the feta! The food was decent, but it took them quite awhile to get the order ready. They weren't really that busy and I was there about 15-20 minutes just to order and get the food to go. Compared to Josefs Gyro, I thought the Niko's gyros were less greasy/juicy and the fries were somewhat dry and unsalted. (in this context I'm actually saying that greasiness is a postive thing) My wife got the philly steak sandwich and she really liked it. I would go back to eat at Nikos, but after my first experience I would say that I prefer Josef's Gyro downtown. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. I ordered a chicken philly combo with Cajun fries. My fries were great. My sandwich had a horrible smell to it. So I figured the smell may have been coming from the mushrooms that were caped on top of my sandwich. Removed the mushrooms and the chicken was rubbery and undercooked. A waist of time and money.
