Seems closed. For sale sign out front. Someone ought to get this place open. Not many options for a sandwich and soft serve in the area.

A great place to grab a cold ice cream or quick lunch in the summer. Honestly the best place to eat in downtown Rapid City.

They were closed. We were there during normal business hours according to their sign but there was no one in sight.

We had a rental house around the corner and it delighted me to have a little dessert and snack shop nearby. It's a walk up window specializing in soft serve treats like cones, sundaes, flurries, shakes and malts. The ice cream is smooth and dreamy! I had the turtle sundae and it was divine! My mom went for a soft serve with strawberries and we were impressed that it was chunks of fresh strawberries, not a fake syrup. My husband went with an orange float and it was made with local Northwoods soda. It was all so good! They also have a menu of savory snacks like soft pretzels, nachos, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, and sloppy joes. We kept talking about stopping by for a pretzel but it didn't work out so I can't speak much to their savory offerings, unfortunately. The stand itself is adjacent to the GT Butterfly House & Bug Zoo and, upon looking the place up online, I learned that Kettlewell's is the name of a groundbreaking moth researcher and that's the kind of nerdy trivia that I live for. Reopening May 1st so mark your calendars!

What a great shop!!…read more I'm sure I've passed this shop so many times, and I had no idea what I was missing! It's just south of downtown Mancelona. There is a pretty large parking lot, so it's an easy place to stop. They have so much worth stopping for!! On a trip back from Mackinac Island my friend mentioned she had stopped at the greatest little coffee shop and store on a previous trip. She couldn't remember exactly where it was, but we were on the lookout for a big coffee sign. We spotted it and she confirmed it was the right place so we pulled in. I was absolutely amazed how much they have in this store! There is a whole gift shop on one side with all sorts of Michigan made and Michigan themed product. The other side is all sorts of wonderful snacks, coffees and teas, plus there is an ice cream/dessert counter and a coffee counter. On the coffee side there are a few tables set up to relax and enjoy your treats. There are also restrooms that are nice and clean. We ordered a few iced coffees and I brought a pastry home as well. This place is definitely going to be a regular stop on my way home from up north!

The pretzels are Mexican street corn flavor, tasty. I had a Nutella latte while here, there's ice cream also.

We had HIGH expectations because of the reviews and were kinda disappointed…read more We ordered the Rouse Simmons and Arizona along with a bowl of the white chicken chili. For what the sandwiches were, especially the Arizona, $14 felt somewhat steep. The Rouse Simmons was the standout and was yummy, but still a very plain sandwich. The horseradish cream was not present in flavor at all and the pretzel bun did not appear to be at all pretzel-like, though the bread was crispy and well-salted. The Arizona was a sad sandwich overall and felt like they were all ingredients that came directly from a can with no seasonings or preparation at all. There was absolutely no presence of a "salsa" on the wrap, and it lacked filling. The black beans were crunchy and again, everything on this sandwich lacked any flavor or seasoning. The soup was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. It honestly saved us so my wife had something to eat because their sandwich was so disappointing. There employees were kind and worked quickly, but I don't think it would be a spot we'd return to. It was quick and convenient after exploring around the dunes, but feel other reviews led us astray on what to expect. All in all it was a basic sandwich spot with basic ingredients and preparation.
