I was approached for help twice. Staff was friendly and not overbearing. In the states the sales racks are called out clearly but here you need to dig through the items to locate the sale. Kinda embarrassing as I felt like a damn squirrel digging for bits and nuts. This is important to me as the exchange rate isn't in the USA favor so I would prefer to pay a sales price which equates to regular after the exchange--- ya dig? Anyhow I was informed sales differ store to store. This peeved me a bit as the jacket I had spied online for a good discount of 40% was still in the store for full price. Doesn't equate in my brain. They don't honor online prices, either. Overall good experience and glad to be informed on how pricing works. Guess I will order the jacket online this evening without dealing with exchange rate, free shipping, at a great discount and from the comfort of my snuggly hotel bed.

I was in Schuh recently looking for a pair of everyday trainers, and obviously they came up trumps with some new balance lovelies. What impressed me most though was after I tried them on and said I'd take them, the shop assistant asked if I was paying cash or card. When I said card he went to get the mobile card machine and I paid there and then without having to get into the queue at the tills. A very clever touch, and one I haven't seen anywhere before. Asides from stocking a lot of high profile labels (Adidas, Irregular Choice, Red or Dead, Ugg etc), they also have their own brand which successfully copies the latest trends, but retails for a cheaper price. There are always lots of helpful staff wondering around eager to help you on your quest to find the perfect pair and because the shop is so large, you can always find a seat in which to try things on. The student discount (10% off) and generous returns policy (you have 365, yes 365, days in which to change your mind) make this place a winner.

One of my fellow running clubbers had purchased one here last year so I went hunting and found myself a suitably neon pink version which washes great. Then I found out about the free yoga class every week which I've been attending and loving so then I've bought new yoga pants and a new vest which is super long. Both wash great. The yoga classes are great - Jenna from Meadowlark takes them and is lovely, correcting my alignment and being very encouraging to everyone at the class. I am now a convert to SB! So why not 5*? The sizing, plain and simple. Cut pretty neat - curves and breasts then pretty much in XL category instead of normal M which is never great. I also didn't bother to come here for a yoga bra, preferring to try (and succeed) at Lululemon. So I do love SB, staff are great, I love the yoga class and I'll buy more stuff here (their long body length for stuff is great for me) but the sizing means it is a 4* review.

The clothing is good quality and comes in great bright colours that generally match each other well. The leggings don't go see through when you bend over and the vest tops are long line so don't expose your middle when you do downward dog. On the one occasion I did have an issue with an item it was exchanged without question. The store is friendly and the staff are welcoming with great advice on sizing and suitability of items for different activities. The sizing can be a bit inconsistent with some styles needing to size down from normal. They hold weekly free yoga and Pilates classes in the store that are booked via the website, which are taught by great teachers with a great supportive feel to the classes. It can be a little expensive for sports wear but it lasts really well and they have sales with up to 50% off at least four times a year. If you are a qualified fitness instructor then you can get an extra 20% off including in the sale, you just need to show proof of your qualifications in store for it to be added to the system.

I was visiting from the U.S., and the shoes I chose to bring with me did not offer much support. She determined that I have incredibly high arches, and one foot was a bit larger than the other. I was a mess. She found the perfect shoes and it's now three months later and I'm back in the U.S. putting many new pain free miles on the new walking shoes. Thank you. I saw this place one night after they closed and made a point to come back during the next day. Most of the clothing looks like it would fall apart within a few weeks...looks good but poorly and cheaply made. I checked it out and walked out.
