I love this place for a couple reasons - the selection, and the service. I will start with the selection. So many things that you cant find at other stores. It is always easier, and better, to hold something, feel it, and try it on instead of just ordering it online and hoping for the best. Everything you need with the Swoosh on it can be found here. Manchester United team shorts, SWEET! a nice Livestrong therma fit hoodie - so glad I found it. Floors and rooms of all teh gear you need, want, and didnt even know you want. Great for finding new things, as long as you like Nike! Harder to find things, like electronics, glasses, and fitness products - all here! Speaking of electronics - the service! So I have had a Nike Fuel band for a while. Since summer. Great product, I love it, check it, use it to track everything I sweat on it. I beat on it, I fit it under my smelly soccer goalie gloves, and it runs strong well, until it didnt I went into the store, had them check it out. Went over all the great things it does - and then they replaced it with a new one, for FREE since they saw the problems it had WOW, such great service. City Sports, Sports Authority and the such are ALL nice, but if you want Nike, and want to see it all - GO HERE! read more

Where are all the employees? I spent about 10 minutes looking at shoes, clearly intending to try some on. I looked around, went to the other side of the store, tried to catch someone's eye, even walked back to the fitting rooms. The few employees that were visible were chatting with each other. Completely disappointed!!!! I visited the store on marathon Monday with my 8year old nephew. I had on my new Nike's with nike socks on. I pointed out to the sales representative the blood coming from my ankle where the sneaker has caued th problem. I got"tht sucks" as a reply.... i spent $16 on a pair of other socks to help and had no other assistance. I have been a loyal customer for 20+ years. I dont see nother pairof Nike sneaker or product being purchased by me ever again. I could go on but i don't feel it's worth my time. read more

Went here with my friend sabrina while browsing the stores on Newbury street. We were greeted by a nice girl and then proceeded to look at jerseys and shoes. While I was looking at shoes a very attentive worked, a little bit short I think his name was Eric? Asked if I needed anything in my size and recommended me a few shoes but they weren't my taste. He helped us out and showed us different shoes and basketball shorts. Anyways we were helped out by Eric and Rafa and Rafa was very nice and cool. Pretty cool store!! read more

I am giving this poor rating not because of any sales associates being rude and what not...but because of the product that Nike corporate has carefully selected to place in the Niketown Boston store. I am a Division 1 female soccer player from Northeastern University and I have been wearing Nike cleats for almost 8 years. Every year I get a new pair because I burn through cleats so quickly. That being said, I like to try new cleat models every once and a while so that I can have the next best thing. But since every model of shoe is different I like to try on the cleats before ordering them in my size and preferred color. You can imagine my disappointment when I walked all the way to the Niketown Boston on Newbury Street this past Friday to find that they did not have any women's cleats in the store. It seemed odd to me that there wouldn't be any women's cleats since Boston houses over 50 universities, most probably having a women's soccer team at some level of play. But I have purchased men's cleats before so I decided to let that slide. After all, the sales associate told me that although there were only men's cleats available they would be able to retrieve any of them in my size. You can imagine my how much my disappointment heightened when I asked for a specific pair of cleats only to be told that the smallest sized that they carried in any cleat is a men's 7.5. So not only did they not carry any women's cleats, but women need to have a size 9 foot in order to have the PRIVILEDGE of trying on and or purchasing MEN's soccer cleats. I will not be going back to this store, I was very insulted and visibly as the sales associate apologized, explained that they did not call the shots, kindly referred me to a We Got Soccer outside of the city. I have been a loyal consumer of the brand and never felt under valued as a female athlete, but this was very unfair. read more

The women's department here has a pitifully small selection compared to the mens. And of what they do have, its mostly slim fit running pants and sport bras. Id love to see more lifestyle clothes like sweats, tshirts, etc. read more

Niketown works for me do to my having freak feet. They are one of the few stores that stock 14's and 15's which gives them a huge plus in my book. They are not cheap by anymeans but for people in my particular prediciment, you gotta pay a premium. Also however small it may be, there elevator system for bringing you your shoes is slightly amusing....(people who are attracted to shiny things will dig it). read more

Man, you guys better get your **** together. Horrible customer service. When the managers backs are turned, the employees on the 2nd floor talk with eachother and ignore customers. I know this because I'm a regular... I'd say I get welcomed half of the time on the first floor. The second floor is a joke. Your employees, both new and old hires, constantly ignore me. I could be looking for 10 minutes and won't get so much as a hello, just a stare to see if I'm shoplifting. It's the worst in the section to the left of the elevator, nobody is even there half the time, someones board folding instead or talking another employee in a different room.. Coming here, it will take at least 15 minutes on average to try on a shoe. You guys don't provide any customer service, you ignore your customers, and you stare at them as if they are going to steal everything they touch. It's horrible. I'd rather watch those street dancers outside your store and give them a $100 than shop with you again. read more

Niketown is a really cool store. It's huge, three levels with high ceilings and a really neat wall that highlights the Boston marathon year round. I love the golf and basketball sections but they have stuff for just about every sport for both men and women. Nike is a quality brand and I will always support them! read more

I had a fantastic experience talking to Nikki a few days ago. I tore my meniscus capsule a few years ago and purchased my first running shoes after the incident incorrectly. She was able to realize this mistake before I recalled the name of my shoe and recommend what I should purchase next. I wasn't able to afford $150-200 new trainers but I will use her advice to find the right shoe this time. read more

I love Nike as a brand. But I love that this location has the nike run club on Tuesday, Thursdays at 6:30 a and sat at 9! FOR FREE ! Such great pacers! I always enjoy myself! Plus I love that I can "borrow" a pair of the nike pegs durning my run!! All the staff in the store are very helpful as well! Sorry nothing bad to say ! read more

Terrible customer service. Went there after I called Nike+ customer support because my Sportwatch GPS stopped working. I was promised I would get a replacement in store if the watch was defective and did pass inspection although out of warranty. I went there and obviously they claimed that they didn't know anything about this. Obviously they didn't want to deal with it and sent me away, telling me the only way to resolve this issue is to ship the watch to Nike. So here you have very friendly accommodating Nike+ phone support but then in store they are arrogant and rude to you. Conclusion: Won't deal with this store again. read more

If you want a long wait, staff with limited knowledge, and overpriced shoes this is the place for you. I guess because it is located on Newbury street you also get to encounter an overabundance of pretentious customers as well (get it together folks, it's shoes manufactured by children in China and Vietnam). I went there to buy a specific shoe and after 10 minutes trying to find the shoes by myself in the empty store, no one appeared to help me. After asked for help, I could try the shoes and ask the prices. When I was doing the checkout the price of shoe that were with a sale tag was full, with no discount. The attendant asked to the manager and he just said that the shoes were with no discount. When I asked again why the shoes had the sale tag, the attendant did not help. When I asked about the use of my coupons/gift cards, the attendant didn't know how it worked. I left the store without the shoes and bought an earlier version of the shoes at the Assembly Row Outlet, however with a great experience with the attendant despite the store was full of clients. read more

Such a let down, every year I buy myself a new pair of nike's, usually from the Tannery but this year I figured if I went to the source, there would be a number of good options. Nope. No way. They had tons of clothes and running stuff, but only a small selection of street shoes. Total let down. read more

Niketowns are an interesting curiosity for me. Rarely do I buy anything at the Nike-towns as I find their pricing astronomical. Like out of this world crazy-high!!! However I really enjoy seeing the latest and greatest in the Nike world. I do make many mental notes for items to purchase for the future when I can see them for a more reasonable price. You see I won't pay $90 for a long sleeve running shirt. Sure.... I could treat myself but I don't need it that much! Their ability to merchandise and convey their brand message/image is pure genius. Whomever is responsible for store design should win some kind of award. Seriously......maybe I'm in the 1% need who respects the brand to the max but I'm usually blown away. For me retailing is an art-form. Nike is and will always be wicked-cool when it comes to sports brands. Chastise them for child labor practices or off-shore manufacturing but they will continue to be King of the court/ring/stadium/rink/street/trail and whatever other sporting avenue. read more

Worse service. I was done trying something on and open the fitting room door try to show my friend. Then faculty asked me twice to close the door and my friend needs to stay outside because kids might come by. I was not naked or anything. I didn't even take my shoes off. Love the Nike brand, but this store is just ok. I guess I expected more when it was closed for a complete overhaul before reopening last month. The aesthetic of the store is very nice, but in trying to create a clean, open space they really compromised the amount of merchandise available in the store. Many of the items from the current catalog weren't available in the store, and if you're looking for a size besides XS or XL be prepared to ask for it and then wait a bit while someone looks for it in the back. read more

This could be the rudest store on Newbury street. The first time we went, we were completely ignored by everyone working there. Workers were standing in bunches talking about their plans for the night, two hours before closing, and didn't even say hello. The second time we went in to give this one more chance and it was just as bad. The lady couldn't help my husband because she was teaching a new girl the ropes, but also wouldn't help us find anyone else so he could try on the shoes. My lady came to me after meeting Paula. She was excited to see another person from Boston. Paula and I shared information. It was great to meet an individual with so much retail experience. costumer service super weak. let me tell you I waited in 16 degree weather for these carmine 6. the dude at the Nike door who obviously works there let my turn get robbed and him be so damn gullible! 5 people ahead of me and the 2 guys together said there size which was sz 11 and blk guy with the flea mar sunglasses who works for Nike said sold out. mind you he didn't leave door for security purpos which is cool. He ask the next couple, a dad and son. son ask for sz 8 he immediately let him in. next person ask for a 9 , he immediately let him in . Now the guy in front line who had there sz sold out pretty much stole my turn by lying to worker sayong " I said that sz" but. He didn't . How you skip me and go back to the top of the order. 1 star for the fact that they ran a limited release snkrs pass and did not disclose to the people who got a wristband how the release was gonna go happen. i may add they did tell selected few but not everyone. they simple told me to keep an eye on the app and go home and relax. well that was a complete lie.you had to keep refreshing the app till it went live,which was around 1pm est. the notification to rsvp went out about 20 mins to late and i have a brand new iphone xs. the nike team said it was a glitch on the app but is doing nothing for the people who wasted there time getting a wristband.concepts pretty much laughed at us when we went to the store. terrible release and terrible business. id think twice before i buy nike again because of this. read more

This place is a good place to bring people visiting Boston- It is kind of like a mini-museum on the Boston Marathon, AND they have everything Nike that you could ever imagine, for every sport and activity out there. The stuff here is fun to look at, but is sold at regular Nike prices (not many sales), so if you're looking for a deal, don't plan to buy things here. If you are looking for something sporty and unique, then definately check this place out. read more

I'm a total Nike freak, so it's not surprising I love this store. They're really up to date on their items, keep the store well stocked and fresh, and the staff is pretty friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the staff working in the running shoes section ought to know more about running and feet.... if Nike wants to be viewed as a serious runner's shoe, they need serious salespeople who know their stuff, like at Marathon Sports. But I can't complain too much- I love Nike town. They also do a lot of fun events (Holiday Party!) for Nike members. read more

I'm a big fan of Nike products. This location could not be in a more central shopping location, right in the middle of Newbury Street. Though this location has two floors, it is still smaller than most Niketowns across the nation. They change their displays and sport specific areas often so there is no reason to detail them except they tend to keep their running section up front. This location is run-centric as they hold run clubs and seem to extol their run section. Personally, I feel that they neglect their basketball and exclusive sneaker markets and has for years. Good if you feel like splurging on the newest and baddest products but it is rare to find sales here. Expect a short browse time through the store. read more

I avoided this store for years, because as much as I enjoy fitness, I'm not big on sports or performance athleticism, which seem to synonymous with the Nike brand. Nothing says hardcore like a picture of bruised, purple marathoner's toes hanging in the window. But, as it turns out, Niketown isn't a very athlete oriented store; it's just a clothing store that also sells sneakers. Their men's selection is kind of blah - it's a lot of football and golf clothes without any actual sports-specific gear, and then a lot of weird 'alt' street clothes. But the women's selection is a lot of fun to shop, though most clothes are pink, maroon, or pastel blue. Should I be pissed that this is totally sexist or admire that women are taking sports back, one pink sports bra at a time? Niketown also has better sales than City Sports does on Nike apparel, but, for the non-apparel aspect of sports, Niketown a bit of a disappointment. Now for the real philosophical question: which is better wicking technology, Nike's FitDry or Adidas' ClimaLite? Discuss. read more

Came into this store today to buy a pair of running shoes I saw online (listed at $140). The woman who got the shoes for me was so unfriendly and uninterested in helping me that I decided to leave without shoes and order them online instead. I will not come back to this store. read more

I called today and spoke to a very well mannered young man named Dean! He was so extremely helpful! He knew the products he had not only in his store but all the other ones owned by Nike as well and suggested where I could find a particular Nike product. Like most people that have reviewed this store, I'm not terribly impressed. While the employees are friendly, the store is barren, they don't have a lot of styles of shoes to choose from, and nothing matches up with the online store. If you're not picky, Niketown has your name all over it. read more

I made it through both floors of the store without anyone greeting me wish is I suppose better then people hounding me but as a knowledgable footwear person I was disappointed in the knowledge of some of the worker bees here. If I did not know my information ahead of time I would have been sold the wrong shoes for me...other then that nike is nike and can't go wrong on the product being sold. read more

As far as other niketown stores go this one is allright, but there are a huge selection of choices. I like this place.

Its a typical Niketown to me, similar to LA. I hope they add one line of apparel for the big and tall.
