Dressed up for Friday night out on a super warm spring evening, and I loved the atmosphere of Nightly's. It was cozy yet moody & sophisticated. On nice spring/summer days, there's indoor and outdoor seating as well as bar seating. We were seated at a cute, intimate two-person table along the wall in the front corner, which had a great view of the UES city life out the big window. We were attended to right away. I had the Lobby Scene cocktail, which was super smooth and crisp on a warm night. My friend and I shared the crack & cheese and artichoke dip as our appetizers, and for our main courses, we had the prawns and the popular Marry Me Chicken. All the food was absolutely delicious. The marry me chicken is definitely worth the hype -- and I typically don't order chicken out at dinner, and this was particularly excellent. There were juicy pieces of both dark and white meat with a lovely flavorful sauce accompanying the dish. The staff was all super friendly from the hostesses to the servers, and we felt well taken care of throughout the evening. Nightly's is the perfect spot for a date night or a group outing and I look forward to coming back soon!
The happy hour ends at 5:30pm on weekdays, which is very early for the area. The cocktail was tasty and the fish tacos were good and a large portion. The bartender was not friendly at all. He didn't crack a smile once, which did not encourage a second visit.
Ever since its opening in the Upper East Side, Nightly's has been packed morning, noon, and night. I came here on two occasions, once for an impromptu dinner, on which, in a stroke of luck, we were quickly seated. In another, I came for brunch on the day of the famed New York blizzard (the first of its kind since 2016) with a reservation for two. I had enjoyed my time at Nightly's on both occasions. For dinner, my husband and I ordered the steak au poivre with a side of greens. The steak was delicious, cooked to a perfect medium rare, and although the meat itself was a marvel, what really struck me was how delicious the sauce was. It was the best steak sauce I've ever had! The dish did come with fries, which were wonderfully cooked as well: crispy, with that soft, potatoey interior that I just love. I wasn't too fond of the greens. They were too lightly seasoned and the texture was not appealing. Although, this is not the fault of the establishment. It was not up to my particular tastes - I simply ordered wrong. For brunch I came with a friend and ordered the pancakes with a side of sausages while she ordered the huevos rancheros. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, the berries sweet and tart, and the sausages so satisfyingly meaty on the inside, crispy on the outside. The huevos rancheros was a standout as well. I vowed to order that next time.
Came for brunch and found it ok, not bad, not great. Seating is a bit cramped and not easy to converse given the noise level. Service was quite good and the fish tacos and the garden omelet were tasty. Plenty of goat cheese! Strangely one had to ask for salt and pepper. Perhaps because the tables are small? But the sourdough toast was not buttered, but again, butter provided upon request. Good macchiato. A popular spot. Why?
Servers were nice, and I loved the vibes of the space. We sat outside, and it reminded me of a French cafe. The toast was disappointing though. It was soggy, and I didn't love how strong the lemon flavor was. The service was good initially, but we had to hunt a server down to get our check. Not sure I'd come back, but it's a cute spot.
Fun dinner spot! It's crowded, fun and lively - the perfect way to start (or end) your night. Service was quick and attentive and they were super sweet and put a candle on my martini for my birthday bc I'm not a dessert person! The misfit martini is delicious and so is all of the food. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a fun dinner.
We had the BEST Sunday brunch at Nightly's on the Upper East Side!!! We had walked past it a few times throughout the weekend and it was always packed with people, so we had a feeling it must be good -- and the brunch absolutely did not disappoint. They seated us in an adorable alcove in the back with velvet curtains and cute art all over the walls, and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food wise, our group had the cacio e pepe soft scramble (what a unique dish -- served over crusty sourdough and a flavorful tomato jam, topped with Parmesan cheese and accompanied by a light arugula salad), two omelets (the hero and the garden -- I don't think I've ever tasted such a fluffy, perfectly cooked omelette), the huevos rancheros (flavorful and delicious), the challah French toast (SO glad we got one of these for the table -- the blueberry mascarpone topping was a standout!) and a side of thick-cut, crispy bacon. We absolutely loved every bite and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quintessential weekend brunch on the UES!
I was more excited to try this place and I really wanted to like it but it was just alright. We got to our reservation right on time and were told it would only be a few minutes only for us to get seated 30+ minutes later. We were able to sit at the bar in that time but we just wanted to eat. We ordered the fig carpaccio as our appetizer and this was our favorite dish. The bread was really soft and the figs with the balsamic were so flavorful. For mains we got the gnocchi and the black tie burger. The gnocchi was a bit too salty after a couple bites, so don't anticipate it being sweeter because of the pumpkin. The burger was super hyped up but to me it was just a solid burger nothing super special. It maybe needed a little more seasoning on the patty but the fries were fine. The servers were great though and super timely with the food. The place was also super packed on a Thursday night, we caught a cancelled reservation after turning Resy notifications on. The ambiance was great. I feel if I was to return it would be to try more appetizers and have a drink rather than the entrees.
I went to Nightly's with two of my girlfriends when I visited NY and we had a 10/10 experience. We made a reservation since my friend who lives in NY said it is always busy, and I'm glad we did! At first, we were seated at this high top table, but it was definitely not enough room for the three of us. Luckily, there was another dining room table to sit at. All of the food that we ordered was amazing, as well as the drinks! Out of the octopus, mussels and steak au poivre, the steak au poivre was definitely my (our) favorite. The steak was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce was delicious. I wish I had a whole bottle of it. The mashed potatoes were some of the fluffiest I've had, and so, so tasty. The food took a little while to come to the table, but that was to be expected, and we were having such a great time that we didn't realize. I can't remember our waiter's name since this was back in August, but I remember him telling us he was Argentinian. He was amazing! He was attentive and very personable. There was another waiter (with glasses) and he would help us out too, and he was also great. He even put his iPhone flashlight on me when I was taking selfies. Safe to say that the staff were friendly and the vibe was right. I do wish the creme brûlée cheesecake was more creme brûlée-y, but still a treat.

We got there way before our reservations so sat at the bar for one drink. I had the Misfit Martini (i love the moment Martinis are having with everyone doing a slight variation.) It had a shishito pepper and tasted tangy, clean and a hint of sweetness. Very good. The food was extremely good- we started with the Cucumber Salad that touched ever food palate- crunch with nuts, freshness from the cucumber, earthness from the dill, and a bit creamy from the cheese and dressing. Very good! The spinach dip was equally a star for the night. I wanted to eat healthy so I went with the Salmon dish ($34 ) was wonderful. Wished there were some carbs but I guess thats why they have sides. Most people around me were ordering the burger and the steak dishes. Ended the night with the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Man it was one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Make reservations, seating seems to be getting crazy.
We had a reservation for 9pm on a Saturday and the place was packed. The hostess told us our table would be ready in a few minutes and it wasn't until 30 mins later that we were seated. When we asked the status of our table, the hostess told us that the people seated at our table have paid and were waiting to use the restroom (for 30 minutes). We were quite annoyed that the staff didn't make any additional attempts to clear the table when clearly they were finished. When finally seated, we ordered the il florista and dovetail cocktails which were good. For food, we ordered the burger and caramelized carrots. The burger was one of the best I've had and the caramelized carrots balanced it out nicely with sweet compared to the salty fries. I would've liked to have ordered an appetizer but by the time we sat down, we wanted to just eat and get out of there. All in all, I was very excited to try this place but disappointed with the service. At one point in the meal, my friend finished both her cocktail and water and nobody came to refill her beverage or ask us how our meal was. The food was delicious but the lower rating is truly due to their service.
Ugh. This is the third time I've been here- the server asked about drinks, and I asked about a drink, and passing on it due to it having mezcal. She insisted it was "well balanced" and NOT mezcal-tasting. Well, of course it was-- she ignored out table for the next hour, THEN noticed I barely had a sip, THEN asked 'oh, is it too Mezcal-y'? "YES.". Nothing. (WTH kind of service is this?!) Ugh. I'm really loathe to ever return, as this has been my experience all 3 times.
My friend made a reservation for us at 6 pm on a Friday and thank god she did! The entire place was packed. We were seated inside but they have a ton of outdoor seating. There's 2 single stall bathrooms in the back. It's by the kitchen and kind of a tight spot. Service was great! They continuously filled our waters up through out the night. We ordered: - pillow talk cocktail: I enjoyed this because it was refreshing and you can't taste the alcohol. - fish tacos - burger: I got it medium and it hit the spot. Fries weren't the best I've ever had but they were crispy enough. I liked the sautéed onions the burger came with. - gnocchi I would come back again for the service and vibes. I fee like food was fine and nothing really good out.

Price point is what you would expect for New York with entrees ranging from $30-$50. Appetizers- the short rib was delicious! Although it was the portion size was small but it was all the bit filling. Every bite was rich and tender giving the ultimate go to comfort food. The lemon carbonara was meatless yet light. You are able to taste the bright lemon flavor with very bite. The golden summer gnocchi was also rich and delicious with a pleasant crunch by the baby corn that adds the perfect texture to the plate. The staff was very friendly and accommodating- they made sure our water glasses were always full, which we which we were especially grateful for as it was an especially hot summer evening. The waiter was also very knowledgeable of the menu and the wines. Make sure you check it out but reserve a seat beforehand! read more
Stopped by Nightly's for a mini celebratory dinner on a weeknight. Apps were on the weaker side but entree/desserts were much better. Staff were polite for the most part and food came out super quick despite the busy dinner shift. My party of 2 started off with the fluke crudo which was alright and didn't much depth in the flavor profile. The tale of two salad featured a nice dill dressing but wish they gave us more brussel sprouts to balance out the textural crunch with the rest of the cabbage. The octopus was better than expected with its tender and chewy texture, matched with the peppery/tomato based sauce. For mains, the summer gnocchi was quite delicious! Gnocchi was chewy and almost mochi-like without being under or overcooked. The corn flavors were prominent within the cheesy, cream sauce and it even featured corn pieces and baby corn! The burger was very solid with a juicy, well-seasoned patty. Loved the combo of a onion-focused sauce on top and a mayo-based sauce with pickle bits at the bottom. Fries were pretty standard. The chocolate creme de pot was creamy without being too sweet nor too heavy! It really melted in your mouth. Cocktails were hit or miss: the espresso martini was strong and well mixed but the matcha sour didn't have any matcha flavors. read more

Was finally able to get a reservation quite easily for a Wednesday night and everything was absolutely incredible! Lots of gluten free options. We sat in a booth in the back that is beautifully decorated with artwork and a bit quieter than the very lively main area. The service was great and everything we ate was amazing! We started with the chargrilled caesar which was delicious and perfectly crunchy. The corn and parmigiano were delicious and not too overpowering. For entrees we got the burger and fish tacos. The burger is absolutely incredible and perfectly juicy. The fries are also delicious and cooked perfectly. Definitely a must get! The fish tacos were also delicious and the slaw on top compliments the fish so nicely. For sides, we tried the caramelized carrots and patatas bravas. Both are amazing! The potatoes are not smashed which we were not expecting but still so delicious and the sauce on top is perfect. The carrots are also cooked perfectly and so delicious. For dessert, we got the dubai chocolate crepes and they were unreal. Not too sweet, has a nice crunch and an incredible way to end the meal. There was not a single dish I didn't enjoy! Would absolutely come back and try the brunch. read more

Great neighborhood spot. Very nice staff and beautiful interior. Resy is hard to come by during prime hours, so would recommend just walking in to the extent you can. The car and like 4 high top tables are always first come first serve. We sat at the bar We ordered the summer risotto and the burger. Both were very good but not blow your socks off. Would definitely order both again very happily. Lots of flavor Martinis looked good and ice cold. I didn't order one but will be sure to next time Will be back as a local! read more
We came for dinner and it seemed nice and popular as there were many people seated. The food overall was good but service/time left much to be desired - such as the long wait for food and also the hostess forgetting to seat us. We had asked for a table of 2 and waited for a bit; they said the next table would be available in a couple minutes. We waited for maybe 10-15 minutes when we noticed other people who were also coming in without reservation were being seated before us into tables that were newly made available. When we brought it up to the staff, it was clear they had forgotten that we had been waiting for a table because soon after we brought it up to their attention, they cleared out the next table for us. We thought about leaving but thought we should still give it a chance. Our waiter was attentive to us but the food took so long to arrive. We probably waited 30 min for our appetizer and 1 hour for our burger. We overheard the table next to us also waited an hour for the burger. We ended our night much later than we had anticipated. Although the food was good, there was a lot lacking - perhaps we went on a bad day, but unfortunately that was our experience. Briefly the food: the truffle Mac was really good. The burger was not bad, it was good but quite expensive ($31). The tuna tartare is half tuna and half guacomole - wish the chips were not so broken, they were mostly broken chips and a bit too salty, it overtook the tartare. Otherwise the tartare itself was good. If I were only rating the food, would give 4 stars. read more

(This is a 4.5 star review) I'm a big fan of Uva, so when my friends suggested that we meet for lunch at Nightly's, a new bistro on the UES run by the same management as Uva, I was excited to give it a try. You really do need a reservation. It was bustling here on a Sunday at 10:45am, although not surprised that it was. The ambience and decor here are SO cute. It was definitely an immaculate vibe and I loved the touches of color. The service was timely and frequent. Everyone was kind enough. To open, I ordered a Kir Classique ($15) which is a Prosecco based drink with crème de cassis, lo-fi gentian amaro, sparkling water, and blackberry. It was very good. The right amount of sweetness with a bubbly base from the Prosecco. I also found it to be decently strong. I also ordered the token avo toast ($18) which was smashed and seasoned avocado on sourdough drizzled with chili oil. I liked this a lot. The avocado was fresh and the chili oil gave it a nice touch of flavor. The portions are quite small, but the plates are beautiful. I do, however, feel like the drink was a bit overpriced for what it was, but I imagine that has to do with the complexity of the ingredients. Either way, I would love to come back here as I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. read more

Great spot for snacks and drinks! I've been now for happy hour and for dinner and I would say I much prefer the apps / smaller plates compared to the dinner plates. The caeser salad, spinach dip, and fries are delish. The happy hour is really great too but I do love the vibe at night read more

Nightly's has been sitting pretty at the top of my boyfriend and my "must-try" list for the UES for quite some time, and we were finally able to snag a reservation--cue the applause! Here's why I'm giving it four stars: First, the vibe is chef's kiss. As soon as you step in, you feel like you've been transported to a chic night club, complete with funky artwork and photos all over the walls. You'll probably start wondering if you accidentally walked into a VIP-only soirée. Service? On point. Our server was super attentive--always there when we needed something, recommending drinks, and keeping things moving at a perfect pace. Honestly, I'd let them plan my next vacation. Now, onto the food and drinks (the real show): We kicked things off with the Misfit Martini, which was hands-down the most unique martini I've ever had. If you're into St. George vodka (like I am), you'll feel like you've found the holy grail. Don't skip it--seriously. For appetizers: - Spinach & Artichoke Dip: Tasty and came with chips that were clearly hand-picked by the culinary gods. Love it. - Crack & Cheese: I wish I had a funnier name for this one, but honestly, it was just dry. I'd have rather had a classic box of Kraft--at least that's reliably cheesy. Main course: - Fish Tacos: Fine. Not mind-blowing, but definitely passable if you're in a taco mood. - Marry Me Chicken: Really good, especially the sauce. But here's the thing--eating it off the bone in a fancy place like Nightly's? Not exactly the best date-night maneuver. Overall, I'd 100% come back to Nightly's to explore more of the menu. It's got the right mix of style, service, and solid food, with just a few things to work on (crack & cheese, I'm looking at you). Replacing the old Quality Eats, Nightly's is a cute neighborhood restaurant. Once the hype wears down and it's not such a fight to get a reservation, I'd happily add it to my rotation. Portions are a bit smaller if you're going for dinner but if you're looking for light bites and drinks to catch up with girlfriends, it's a cute vibe. read more

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at Nightly's. The servers were attentive, however, I must point out the ambience. It's definitely a vibe. It's nicely decorated however, this isn't the place to go if you are looking to catch up with your friend(s) and really have intimate conversations. I could barely hear my friend on a Tuesday night at 8 PM. The food we ordered was better than we were expecting! The "Marry Me Chicken" was tender and delicious. It was pretty "safe" flavor wise, and came with a cream sauce with tarragon and sundried tomatoes. I will say, for $32, I feel they could pair the chicken with some potatoes or sautéed greens. There were just a few lettuce leaves as a garnish so that was disappointing. The burger ($30) was thick and well prepared. Quality ingredients done well. The fries were salty and delicious and there were a good number of them. They charge $5 for bread here. I wish this restaurant had better acoustics. This wouldn't be a place I'd recommend for a date night unless you don't care to hear your date! But I could see myself going there for a meal before going to a concert. read more

Came here last week on a whim. My friend said she was there and there was an extra seat next to her at the bar, asked if I wanted to come and I jumped right up and said sure. This place is very hard to get a table reservation for so I was very excited to try it out. The ambiance in here is on the dimmer side. There is a pretty bar area where we sat. And there is a small back area with two or so tables. It's not a big place at all but they have alot of tables. For dinner we shared the Black Tie Burger which was delicious. And for drinks I had the Bistrotini HERBS DE PROVENCE INFUSED FORDS GIN, FRESH DILL, DRY VERMOUTH, LILLET BLANC, ELDERFLOWER, CELERY BITTERS. My friend had a regular martini and another drink but I do not remember which one. The bartender was very nice and helpful. She was also our waitress. I told her about all my allergies and she made sure to tell the kitchen. I highly recommend this spot even if you can only get a seat at the bar. It's better than nothing. read more
Very good experience! We had the tuna tartare, Cesar salad, ceviche, Mussels and Burger. We really enjoyed each dish, did any of them blow us away? No. But were they all very solid? Yes. The burger was by far my favorite out of all of the things we got but it was a bit under cooked. I prefer my burgers medium rare and don't even mind it rare but this was a bit too rare even for me it was still delicious however. The service was phenomenal our waiter was very attentive and kind and even went out of his way to write out some spots we have to try for an upcoming international trip! The ambiance is definitely loud but we actually enjoy that as it adds liveliness to the experience. Overall we will definitely be back and are very happy to have a solid elevated American restaurant in the neighborhood. read more

Great vibes, great food. If you're too lazy to read the rest of the review, just order the agnolotti. We came here during their soft opening on a Friday. We did a walk-in for 2 and waited around 10 minutes. It was quite crowded so I do recommend a reservation. We ordered the winter salad, short ribs, spinach artichoke dip, and gnocchi. Spinach artichoke dip was salty but DELICIOUS. The winter salad was a bit bitter for me because of the radicchio, but it tasted how it should. Short ribs were tender but the mashed potatoes stole the show on that one. While we ordered the gnocchi, they accidentally gave us the agnolotti. Now, this was a mistake from God !!!!! because the Agnolotti is AMAZING!!!! WOW. MADE MY NIGHT AND NOW I WANT TO GO BACK. They let us keep the agnolotti and sent us the gnocchi as well. While the gnocchi was decent, I think the agnolotti was just on a different level. I had to pretend not to inhale it so as to be subtle and polite about the mistake but inside I was so grateful this pasta appeared in my life. We also ordered the martini and the tainted love cocktail. The martini tasted like a straight pickleback shot which may or may not be a good thing depending on how much you like pickle brine. The tainted love was cute but nothing too special. Regardless, drinks are solid here and there's a good range of cocktails. All in all, I'm excited about this restaurant opening in the neighborhood. Would definitely return! read more
Wow this place has gotten popular, it was packed on a Friday at 5:30pm. The food and drinks were pretty good, but we were a little turned off by the fact they wanted us to order quickly and wouldn't let us order an app and then place a main order in a little bit as many restaurants let you do. read more

Food: Excellent 10 out of 10 "no notes" Service: Very good 8 out of 10 the staff is very friendly, they refilled the water quite often, but sometimes they were hard to find and a few times I saw our food go by us only for the server to turn around and come back to our table. Ambience: Fair 6 out of 10 the decor and the lighting were very nice, but the place is a bit crowded and very noisy. I wouldn't go back to this place on my own. While the food is very good, it is also very pricey. I spent about $300 for four people. We got one appetizer, three of us had drinks each of us got one entrée, we shared two sides and two desserts. Maybe this is just where the UES is at now... but it's a little rich for my pocket. However, my daughter has celiac, and Nightly's has many gluten-free options. So if she wants to go back, I certainly will. read more
