They are what they are. Useful when available, frustrating and soul-crushing when they don't keep to their schedule. The passengers are invariably young and somewhere towards the business end on the Drunk Spectrum.
Last night, I was on the 94 at 2:20am and the driver needed to have the "No standing on the upper deck or stairs, please." announcement running almost constantly, because as you can guess, there were knuckle-draggers standing on the upper deck AND the stairs. These are the types of people you can expect to encounter on night buses. Eventually the driver stopped the bus and had a word with the stair-standing cretins, after which the ride went pretty smoothly. Except for the sub-human who pressed the 'Stop' button every ten seconds for the rest of the the journey; eventually I got off and escaped the incessant dinging, but I can only imagine that the crisp ding continued on towards the dawn. read more
