I live in an older home. My EBMUD bill showed a huge increase in gallons per day compared to last…read moreyear. But, the meter showed there was no leak. I live in an old house. My shower wasn't flowing as it should; kitchen faucet - hard to regulate flow, downstairs unit had loose sink faucet lever, and I wanted a complete assessment, long overdue, of instant on water heater and sump pump. Mr. Plumber has been doing my plumbing for the past 30 years. They found a gas leak inside the house shortly after I moved in 30 years ago and after a house inspection! Another time, there were rats crawling in the wall. Vector control got rid of the rats. But, don't tell you where the rats were coming from. You have to call a plumber. Mr Plumber found that the rats had gotten through the deteriorating seam from the sewer line to my house. They were sewer rats! Mr Plumber dug up the area with minimal damage to the yard and fixed it. No more rats. Another time, was when the house was slipping and I had to redo part of the foundation. I decided to add a mother in law's rental unit down there. Mr Plumber did all the plumbing for the new construction's kitchen and bathroom. They installed a sump pump exclusively for that unit's waste. These guys are skilled professionals who know what they're doing. This time, they flushed the sump pump and told me it's fine. They checked the instant on water heater, they had installed many years ago. I thought I smelled gas when it turned on first thing in the morning when I was outside near it. They checked for gas leak. No leak. They explained that what I smelled was carbon monoxide and that the appliance expels carbon monoxide, not all the time and that this is how it should work. Relief. They explained carbon monoxide smells like gas but is a different smell. Now I can tell the difference. There were problems in my bathroom. As I'm getting older, I requested installation of an ADA toilet. The shower wasn't flowing well and I had to stand very close to it and that wasn't fun. There was a continuous flow of water from the tub spigot even with the shower turned fully on. The cold water faucet squeaked terribly when turned. They evaluated the shower and found very old and stripped faucets. They replaced faucets and shower turn on. They replaced shower head. As for water conservation, they explained that the toilet is much more efficient than my old one. Likewise, with the new shower head and tub faucets. They replaced the kitchen faucet upstairs and downstairs. These faucets are awesome. They explained that they also will save water when compared to the old. I'm betting that my EBMUD water bill will reflect a significant decrease in gallons per day and save me a lot of money!!! Water is getting very expensive. I now am enjoy taking a shower! As it should be. And, ease in turning on and adjusting the kitchen faucet without it blasting! The new, downstairs kitchen, faucet is awesome as well. The new toilet flush is short and I know will save a money, as Miguel said. When all is said and done, I can honestly say that I now have peace of mind that it was all taken care of. It's the little things in life that improve the quality of my life. I'm giving Mr Plumber the highest possible rating. They are true professionals who provide excellent, quality work. Don't believe the one poor review. Thank you, Mr Plumber!!!
