The hygienist Stacy showed her long time knowledge in the business and was also thorough. Monica the office manager also very efficient. Dr. Nielson and his staff are absolutely amazing. I have been going there for 15 years and even after moving out of state I travel 1400 miles to see him. You don't find honest, caring, gentle dental offices like theirs anywhere. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and fit you in their schedule. When my dentist retired, I was apprehensive about finding a new provider. It seems like these days, practices are sales driven and not service driven. Who wants pressure to buy at the dentist, like a used car lot? I looked up Nielson Dentistry and the reviews. People said that there was no sales pressure, and they felt very comfortable. I could not agree more. I wish I could have them clean my teeth every day. I love going to the dentist. ..it's like a tooth massage! The staff is so friendly, and always remember you. Even though I go in just twice a year for cleanings, the staff is like family. If you are nervous about the dentist, give Dr. Nielson a try. His staff will put you at ease. So will the tv you can watch on the ceiling, on any channel that suits you. They are thorough, and I always feel great afterward. Just got home from my first visit with Dr. Nielson and if I could rate him higher than 5 stars I would! He was kind, gentle and not pushy. I need ALOT of work done and he gave me a clear plan that works for me. Brandi, his assistant was wonderful as well! She was knowledgeable and informing and made me feel right at home. I felt like I'd been a patient for years and after today I'm sure that I will be. Monica at the front desk is awesome as well. She's kind, professional and upbeat and accommodated my schedule with the first available appointment that worked for me. She's the first impression when you walk and the last when you leave and does a fantastic job at making you feel welcomed and at home. I brought my daughter and myself to find a new dentist in the area and i am thankful to have found this dentist office. The staff is friendly, the doctor is friendly and they definitely are looking to accommodate their clients! I will use them for my dental needs from here on out! Dr. Nielson is very proficient and most importantly very kind. He is polite, calm, genuinely very nice, caring, careful and has excellent skill. Everyone who works there is super nice. They have never messed up the insurance either. Whether you are there for a checkup, a cleaning or dental work, you will have the best experience possible. I don't know anyone who likes getting a filling, but all my friends who go to Dr. Nielson agree that getting a filling there is about as good as getting a filling will ever get. I don't like going to the dentist. The previous two dentists I visited were more interested in profits than patients, both claiming the need to fill non-existent cavities and one making me wait while he made his tee time. Because of my bad experiences my faith in dental care was shaken and I did not get the recommended cleanings and check ups for a couple of years. A friend recommended Nielson and I am glad he did. Alicia used skilled and gentle hands to clean my plaque covered teeth and Dr. Nielson addressed my issues in a very honest and professional manner. I actually look forward to returning. read more

Dr. Nielson and his staff, especially Amy, are outstanding. I hate going to the dentist and everything about it. I finally went this week, after 8 years, and it was a great experience. Monica at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. Amy, who scrubbed off 8 years of missed cleanings, made the time go by quickly and painlessly (and I didn't even have meds). Dr Nielson seems like a genuine person that loves what he does. Fortunately I didn't need to spend much time with him though. Dr. Nielson and his entire staff are wonderful. They are very courteous and friendly and will do their best when you have to be there. I've been seeing Dr. Nielson for several years now and prefer no other dentist or office staff. I found his office when looking for a new dentist a few years ago and realized his office was within a quarter mile of my home at the time and I really needed to see a new dentist. Previously I had the same dentist for 20-plus years unfortunately he passed away and I had to find someone else. After going to numerous dentist who tried to rob me because their faces were covered with masks I found this dentist. He is a great dentist he always takes time to answer your questions and will never try to charge you or fix things when there isn't something to be fixed. His staff is great his time is flexible and accommodating. I have referred numerous friends and family members to doctor Nielson and will continue to do so. read more

Dr. Nielson was the closest dentist to my house so I figured I'd stop in and give them a try after moving back to AZ. I had some mixed experiences with dentists in other states so I was expecting to have to go to a few dentists before I found one that offered good, comfortable service with good prices. Thankfully Dr. Nielson's practice won me over from the first visit. Comfortable waiting room with very short waits. The office staff was very friendly and helpful in dealing with insurance and keeping me appraised of costs and scheduling. I was very satisfied with the cleanings and the fillings I've had done there. Very pleasant experiences thus far, which is really something considering it's a dentist for crying out loud. Dr. Nielson himself is a wonderful doctor and his services are great! But his front desk person Monica is the most rude, nasty, passive aggressive person I've ever encountered. Today was the straw that broke the camels back. She loudly harassed and attempted to embarrass me about a payment that I'm not able to make at the moment. If she cared enough to ask why I was behind I would've explained that I am the only one working in my household since July and my family is living off of one income for the time being. But I'm sure she could careless, she was too preoccupied with threatening to add the $268 onto my credit for collections and yelling that it was so old and Dr. Nielson would question her about payments not being made. She wanted to pick at me today and it was obvious, she even went on to yell as I was leaving out "I'll be hearing from you next month"! in regards to making a payment. I've seen her be rude to multiple people but I've had enough she went way too far and she honestly owes me an apology. read more

Went to Dr. Nielson for a crown. Against advisement of American Dental Association, Dr. Nielson put me completely under for an hour and a half using Nitrous Oxide. The ADA states Nitrous Oxide should be given only to calm patient while still being aware. When I asked to speak to Dr. Nielson the next day he refused to come to the phone. Monica (receptionist) stated he was very busy and wanted to know what the problem was, When I asked to talk to the Doctor, Dr. Nielson never came to the phone. oh, ohhhhh Monica later told me Dr. Nielson told her we talked during the procedure. My entire family have seen Dr Nielson. He is the most amazing dentist I have ever been to. After many unhappy visits with other dentists, I am finally glad to have a dentist I feel I can trust. He does not try to push expensive unnecessary treatments. He is very realistic and willing to work with his patients. I had a very bad night last night with a tooth that has been causing me pain. I was up almost all night in pain and knew I had to work all day. I called at 8:00am and was asked if I could come right then. I explained I had to be at work within an hour. Monica told me to come in and they would get me in immediately and get me to work on time. I was in and out in 20 minutes. I ended up needing an extraction and because of my new job I did not want to miss any work. I could not believe it but Dr. Nielson said he would come in early tomorrow so I could get to work on time. This is an amazing office. They truly care about the patient and will go out of their way to help. I can not say enough about their kindness. read more
