Escribí por WA para re agendarla y se tardaron en responder, escribí mi experiencia en Facebook, ella se enteró (que No me importa) y debido a mis expresiones, que las hice "públicas" el "Equipo Gerencial", que es ella misma, se tardó casi un mes para enviar un audio (babosería) informando que solo me devolvería el dinero de la última sesión por que la 5ta había sido consumida. Le compre un taller de automaquillaje, porque quería maquillarme yo misma para el Prom de mi hija, de forma un poco más elaborada. Cuando compre el curso y seguí los pasos de la plataforma para abrirlo, me salía no disponible. Escribí en múltiples ocasiones para pedir asistencia, sin recibir respuesta. Finalmente, cuando me escribieron devuelta, para decir que ya estaba disponible el taller de automaquillaje, ya la actividad (el prom) habia pasado, asi que no pude utilizarlo para el fin que lo compre. En fin, posteriormente, he escuchado de varias personas malos "reviews" de esta persona, que se vende muy bien por la plataformas sociales, pero que se esconde tras las computadoras e internet evadiendo así su responsabilidad y de dar la cara con sus client@s y que al parecer, tiene un modo operandum de emergencias de último minuto, que no le permiten cumplir con sus responsabilidades, pero te hace firmar un relevo, para no hacerse responsable por dichas emergencias que no le permiten cumplir si ya compraste o te vas a maquillar con ella. Sigo a Nicole desde hace muchos años y la admiro mucho. Por eso escribir una reseña negativa me cuesta, pero en este caso estoy muy decepcionad y necesito compartirlo. Yo compré un paquete de láser ya que tenían una tecnología nueva y quería tratar a ver si me ayudaba más que otras tecnologías de láser. Al estar su estudio para mi primera sesión, su técnica de láser me comienza a mencionar los diferentes procedimientos que hacen en el estudio. Dejándome llevar por su recomendación accedo a agendar una cita para un facial. Al proceder a pedir cita para el facia, le digo a la recepcionista que solo haría el facial si se puede hacer el mismo día que la segunda sesión de láser. Esto es dado a la naturaleza de mi trabajo y la distancia que tengo que recorrer, ya que vivo en el sur este de la isla. Dos semanas antes de la cita para ambos procedimientos, una de las empleadas se comunica para dejarme saber que el día que había agendado hace casi un mes, no iba a poder darse. Dado a que yo entiendo que situaciones pueden surgir me comunico por teléfono para reagendar mis citas. Me indicaron que la de láser se movería a más de un mes por mi disponibilidad de trabajo y que la del facial, de cambiarla, incurriría en un costo adicional de $25. Le pedí de favor que, ya que yo había entendido que se me cambiara la cita a un mes de haberla hecho, que por favor tuvieran el mismo gesto de entender, y ya que ellos habían cambiado sin considerar disponibilidad, que pudieran cambiar la fecha sin el costo. Ya que no hubo ninguna consideración al respecto, procedí a cancelar la cita. Por lo cuál perdí más de $25 dólares, pero el estudio perdió mi patrocinio. Dissapointment is the word that comes to mind whenever I think about Nicole and her workshop. I took her auto-makeup workshop in Orlando on 06/26/2017, which was supposed to start at 1:00pm and finish at 7:00pm. After receiving no less than five emails from her, stressing punctuality, she started the workshop after 2:00pm. She began by apologizing and providing the most unconcievable and dubious excuses for being so late. This apology went on for approximately 30 minutes, after which time she finally began the workshop. As explained the workshop was divided in three phases: Face (foundation and contouring included), Eyes (lining, smokey technique) and Lips. She spent over one hour explaining how to apply foundation and contouring and gave us another 45 minutes to apply the techniques. To our surprise, after having finished this part she gaves us a one-hour lunch break. We couldn't belive it for several reasons: we were super delayed plus it was already 4:30pm and a one hour lunch means we should be back by 5:30 and the workshop is supposed to end at 7:00pm. Well, our makeup almost melted due to the 100 degrees outside. When we came back at 5:30pm she quickly explained the eyes techniques (and I mean quickly) and by the time we finished "practicing" it was time to wrap up. She never got to explain anything about lips or anything else really since we were out of time. I was really looking forward for the lips part since selecting the right shade has always been one of my main problems. As part of the workshop, we were promised professional brushes and a certificate. Well, the brushes were NOT professional and instead they turned out to be ONE $1.00 Elf branded brush, which I was never explained how to even use. Also, those certificates? Well, she explained they were taken when someone robbed one of her suitcases (yes, that was one of her dubious excuses). She asked us to write down our contact information as she was going to send the certificates and I quote "as soon as we get back to Puerto Rico by the end of the week". It turns out that a few days later we received an email apologizing again, as something terrible had happened once again, and she had lost the list with all the contact information and needed our names in order to send the certificates. Now mind you, we all checked in at the hotel and registered before walking into the workshop room...so she already HAS this information. But whatever. I sent the email and this is the last time I heard from Nicole or her team. I must add that not ONCE she came to me to inspect or supervise the little techniques I was "practicing". As a matter of fact, everytime it was time for practice, she stepped out of the room and disappeared. She did have two assistants that were kind and attentive but were too busy tending to all the ladies (over 35 of us). So it was really difficult to catch their attention more than once and for more than a few seconds anyways. I posted a message on her page, kindly asking for a timeframe for when the certificates will be sent and she deleted my comment from her facebook page. I sent her a private messenger message which was left unanswered. A friend of mine had a similar experience, so I know for a fact that she is chosing to ignore us. Whatever happened to the great customer service she boasts about. And the worst part is that I paid $125.00 for this experience. I live in the United States and had a confirmed appointment for microbladding services with Nicole on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 3pm in Puerto Rico. I showed up at the place 15 minutes before my appointment. Right as I pulled in, I received a call from her assistant indicating that Nicole had just left the office to take care of an emergency regarding her son. I was told she was at the Pediatrician and that she could not honor my appointment at any point that day. I was also told Nicole herself would call me to address the situation. SHE NEVER DID. Furthermore, social media (specifically instagram story) confirmed that she was already with her son attending other personal matters before 1:30pm. This situation could have been handled differently. She could have let me know of the cancelation in advanced, sparing my time and unnecessary expenses such as gas and tolls to get to her. I gave a non-refundable deposit of $100 and now that was up in the air. Given the lack of communication and inaction, I ended up having to contact her again. Once again she assured me she would call, but she never did nor did she bother to arrange a refund of the deposit I gave. I had to contact my bank and report the charge. She cares very little about the reputation of her business and about keeping her customers happy. Horrible! I went to Nicole Rodz Studio for eyebrows microblading. Very expensive, you have to pay $100 non refundable just to make the appointment, then extra $200 for that first microblading process. I got there a little early and talked to the person at the desk, made my payment and she told me to wait, she also said that my husband who was with me couldn't stay not even at the lobby (waiting room), he had to leave the building, at some point Nicole walks in, didn't even greet me who was the only client seating there, about half an hour latter the person who I paid to, tells me come in to do my eyebrows, I mean she could have said that since I got there, I thought Nicole was going to do my eyebrows. At the end my eyebrows were uneven and didn't look perfectly shape. I called about a week later and the receptionist told me there were no refunds and Nicole didn't fix what the other "artist" did. I tried to write on their facebook page and they blocked me. I was recommended 3 years ago, by a makeup artist, for microblading with Nicole Rodz. I was following her on Instagram for two years to see her work and make a decision that she was the artist for my brows. I made an appointment with her for microblading. (Nov 2020) When the day of my appointment came, someone wrote to me on her behalf, that she could not go to work that day, to change the date. I agreed to change it (having already paid half the service in advance). When the day of my appointment comes (postponed), I was waiting in the waiting room for 1 hour and a half. When I finally entered the booth to start my microblading, at no point did she give guidance, orientation one-On-one or comment on what she was going to do. SHe just started working without speaking or guiding (in person) about the process, nor did she ask me what i was looking for in the eyebrows. She spoke about the after care, briefly, at the end. For the second appointment (microblading needs touch-up after 6 weeks), I get in my car to go to the Nicole Rodz studio and they call me that they have to postpone the appointment (Jan 2021). It was already the second time my appointment was postponed. It was surely a sign not to continue with her. But I agreed to change it because I had already paid for part of the retouching. Although I was not happy with my eyebrows from the first date, I thought that the touch-up would fix them better. Finally I go to my retouch, and the artist never tells me why the eyebrows changed as much or how she could help me or do. I walked out of there, thinking I must have caught the first sign of the change from my first date. To this day, I am not happy with my brows as the color of the strokes does not match my natural brow color. I have to use eyebrow paint anyway. After this experience, I visited another microblading artist, Dra. Brows (I do recommend) for a consultation on how to fix it. She was surprised and actually asked me if, what Nicole did was, something called, powder brows. I was very disappointed to hear that. At Nicole Rodz studio, they are always very nice with nice words, they offer you coffee or water, brownies, they refer to one with a lot of "beauty" or "beautiful", but in reality everything is fake about her personality. Nicole and her team were very professional and their work was amazing. They were very nice and super calm under pressure. They turned a hotel room into what looked like a salon. The makeup she did in me lasted well into the evening without touch up. I highly recommend her if you are in Puerto Rico. I wish I could afford to fly her to Houston to do my makeup here. read more

I would NOT recommend her services at all. She was unprofessional and a thief!! I was down in Puerto Rico for a destination wedding and she was hired to do our hair and makeup. Her staff and even Nicole arrived late and demanded cash up front before her staff was allowed to start our makeup, some of the bridal party ended up doing their own make up due to timing issues. If you hate, and I mean HATE someone getting married in Puerto Rico, use Nicole for her "services". If, however, like me, you love the bride as one of your own sisters, do NOT use this heartless, unprofessional woman. Not only did she flat out lie about how many makeup artists would be showing up to do hair and makeup on almost a dozen bridesmaids, but she also showed up close to 2 hrs late and offered no explanation or apology for why 2 of the makeup artists were missing and never showed up. Half of the bridesmaids had to do their own makeup and Nicole expected full payment for all her "services" which were not provided. When a couple of the bridesmaids pointed out the fact that she clearly breached the contract by showing up late and not providing us with the allocated number of makeup artists, she was so incredibly cold as she said that her husband was an attorney and she knows her rights. On top of that SHE became hysterical and threatened to not do the bride's makeup if all the bridesmaids didn't leave the bridal suite immediately. She is entirely unprofessional and makes the entire experience about herself and her money with utterly no regard for the bride or the paying bridal party. This woman should not be in business or have any right to be part of anyone's special day. Once again, if you want to exact revenge on someone, by all means use Nicole...it'll be the best way to ruin someone's special day. Otherwise, steer clear...you have been warned. read more

Due to the pandemic our destination dream wedding has had to be postponed a few times, even with months notice Nicole wanted to charge me additional (her prices are high to begin with!) to postpone the date. Not only are we taking the regulations of Puerto Rico in account but also everything happening where we are from which has been dangerous during this virus. I messaged Nicole in September and she told me she would charge me to reschedule again so we kept our December date strong. I never heard from Nicole till I reached out the week of the wedding. Now Puerto Rico is advising essential travel only, and limited capacity and a curfew, our dream wedding is no longer possible. Nicole refuses to give me any of my $600 deposit back regardless of the fact that we are not advised to go there and our dream wedding can not happen. Completely appalled at how she handles business and people. My fiancé and I are small business owners too, if we take a deposit for a party but because of the regulations that party can't happen we would never hold our customers money. Atrocious! My experience with Nicole Rodz was one of the WORST EVER. At the day of my friend's wedding, her assistant showed up late to start the bridesmaids' make up, and demanded she get all our money before even starting, as per her "contract". Well, needless to say, she did nothing according to her so-called "contract". One of the assistants never even showed up. So, out of 10 bridesmaids, 5 of us did our own make up and she refused to refund our money. She herself, showed up late to do the bride's make up, and refused to finish it, unless her assistant left with all of the money even though services were not rendered. I recently used Nicole Rodz for my wedding hair & Makeup. I was extremely unsatisfied with the services I was provided. For one, Nicole herself didn't show up to do my hair and makeup but instead sent one girl for makeup and another for hair. Jeanette, the girl who did my makeup was extremely sweet but couldn't seem to achieve the look I had in mind. Also, in her contract Nicole promises that her makeup is long lasting and wont need touch ups. UNTRUE! my makeup did not last the entire night! The biggest disappointment was my hair. The girl who did my hair was named Jocelyn. I told her the style I was looking for. I stated that I wanted loose hair around my face. She made is seem simple. She told me once I was done with makeup to pull the hair on my sides down and they would loosely fall. WRONG! My hair was so tight that if I pulled some out it would mess up the whole hairdo but she wasn't there to fix it because within minutes of her finishing my hair she was gone. The makeup girl called her back to fix it but she didn't come back because she was "too far". Also, my hair fell way before the end of the night. I was extremely disappointed in the services I received and paid way too much for makeup and hair I could have done myself. UPDATE 7/12/17: Upon writing this review, Nicole disputed it. It took two weeks before it went up. On July 2, a week and a half ago from today, I received a long apologetic email from Nicole. She offered to refund me for the poor services I received from her and asked if I would please remove my review from this site. I responded to her email letting her know that I would greatly appreciate my refund and upon receipt of my refund I would consider removing the review. I'VE HEARD NOTHING BACK FROM HER AND HAVE NOT RECEIEVED A REFUND. I sent her a follow up email and NOTHING! This girl is the worst. Unprofessional and definitely not honest. I would give her 0 stars. Where should I start?? Payed 150 dollars to secure a spot on her "lash extensions course" what a joke. Got there the day of the class and payed the rest 150 dollars for a total of 300 hundred. She started late, after an hour and a half of class she sends us to lunch and during lunch she sends a text message to one of the students telling her that she had no electricity at her salon. We head back and she dismisses us. She tells us she will call us to give us the new date. Weeks pass by and nothing I call her to let her know I will no longer be residing in PR that I would like to take my class asap before I head out. She tells me she cant help me she doesn't have a date. I ask for at least half the money her response was "we don't refund". So I payed 300 dollars for 1 hour and a half of class and no certification, no practice NOTHING. I would not recommend her! Ever! She was so out of place no work ethic or respect for her students. I hesitated to write this review, because I didn't want to let my emotions get the best of me but I think that I should let every Bride on here know the honest to God's truth. I'm in shock that she has great reviews and it wouldn't surprise me if she had someone write them for her. First and foremost, when I contacted Nicole she seemed super sweet, kind, and straight to the point. Now I should mention that I'm a freelance makeup artist myself, but I felt that the day of my Wedding I should be pampered. Now the night before Nicole texts me to tell me that she will be arriving with her team at 10am (she showed up half an hour late), and that the cash balance is due immediately before any makeup is started. Once the balance is paid her and her assistant begin, now Nicole is a decent makeup artist but her assistant on the other hand is not. She had to do my bridesmaids makeup twice, my aunt three times, and my mother twice. Nicole did my mother-in-laws makeup and made her look like a corpse. I then had to proceed and mix the right foundation so that it didn't make her look so pale. I'm not being funny either she has about 5 shades of MAC foundations that are way to orange and do not compliment every skin tone. She rushed through my makeup and spent most of her time checking her phone which told me that she had somewhere else to go. This is not right I didn't pay you for that or for your mediocre assistant. The whole vibe messed up my bridal experience and i wanted to cry, but I held it in because I refused to let this scammer ruin my big day. I didn't love the way I look and I surely didn't feel beautiful, as I should have been made to feel, and on top of that I tipped her, and my MOH refused to get her makeup done after the debacle of what she had seen, and guess what?!? I was hesitant to write a review, but I thought it would be best to give all future brides a heads up. I started following Nicole's work on Facebook and Instagram, and decided to book her based on what I had seen without reading any reviews, that was a mistake. From the start I never spoke with Nicole, it was always through one of her assistants, I just figured she was very busy. Cut to 4 months before the wedding and by chance I meet up with a friend who has also booked her services. Unfortunately she told me that Nicole did not show up on her day, leaving her stranded, and when she checked Nicole's social media she posted that she was on a trip. Hearing that I panicked and called her offices. Again I spoke with an assistant who said Nicole was not available, but she would gladly take my info so she could call me back as soon as possible. I called the next day and the same response. By this time a week and a half had gone by and no response from Nicole. By this time I started researching past review on Nicole (on wedding wire and Yelp) and found ALOT of horror stories. The last time I called, same assistant, I told her my concerns and that everything felt quite unprofessional. She told me that Nicole was still unavailable because she was hospitalized. I told her that I wanted to cancel my booking for the wedding, and asked if it would be possible to use the deposit I had given for any other type of service in her salon (she does other like eyelash extensions). She told me YET AGAIN that I would have to waits for Nicole to contact me. We hung up and not even 5 minutes later the same assistant called me back and said she spoke to Nicole and the money could not be used for any other service or refunded. I simply told her to enjoy the money and have a good day, but what really bothered my was that the very next day Nicole posted videos and pictures of her at a makeup convention, not hospitalized.
