He truly seems to love what he does and his prices were very reasonable. We will definitely take the guitars back in future if anything needs to be done.

My beautiful semi hollow vantage was a bit aged. The dials didnt work very well. Screws were rusty. Overall my baby just needed a good trip to the guitar doc for a checkup. After reading the reviews on westcoast it was a no brainer for me. They have an amazing track record FOR A REASON! Not only were they suuuuper sweet and made me feel comfortable even though I had no idea what I needed. But when it came to the work they discovered not as much needed to be done so they took care of my baby for such a great price! She looks good. She sounds good. She feels good. I will definitely be back for my other babies and when I'm ready to add to the collection. Thank you so much guys!!!

The guys at the counter have always made me feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer. The first time I purchased a guitar here was back in the day at their old location. My mom brought me in and the sales guy kindly spent ages explaining to her the difference between many different types and models. He set me up with an inexpensive yet fantastic guitar that I still regret selling. It had such gorgeous tone. Buying my first guitar at here is a good childhood memory of mine. The second time, I wanted a specific model that wasn't in stock at this store. The sales guy who checked the stock at other stores and then placed the order for me was very nice and helpful. I've also rented a guitar and again, the process was quick and easy. I haven't spent much time in the other departments, but the selection for guitars and guitar accessories is terrific.

After being in Vancouver for a few days, I looked on-line for guitar rentals, not expecting to find anything. Lo, Long & McQuade popped up as the only viable option. Relatively close, too. Visited the North Van location and was in great hands with guitar rep, TARA (super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating with my requests). Rented a Kramer Nite-V for two months for a fair price. Kept me from going insane. Only good things to say about the rental process. Other staff was great, too. Will definitely recommend to others and come back again when I'm in town.

I brought in a keyboard for repair and they lost the case for the soundboard that was installed in the keyboard. When you bring something in for repair, bring it in bare bones, no strap, strings accessories in the case or they might lose them.
