There was also a chair for me to sit and feed the baby while it was going on. She reviewed how we could do better which was very helpful. The dentist, Dr Zaul, taught me a few things I didn't know before - lots of tips, suggestions etc which I appreciate. Thanks for the thoughtful care!!!

When my toddler first came here shortly after 1.5, naturally she was scared. Cue the cries and unwillingness to open her mouth, yet the dentist and the assistants have always been so kind and understanding. Even at that young of an age, they were able to still complete a cleaning that was age-appropriate. Having heard stories of others who take their toddlers to an adult dentist, it is a wooorld of a difference, I.e., they look at the kids teeth and that's basically it. The goodie bag with a little stuffie always is an always nice touch as well. Despite always being traumatized during the actual cleaning, she always was excited to go to the dentist. And then after a certain age, the dentist asked her to sit all by herself (she was previously in our lap). I was SO unsure about it, but she magically stopped crying. Shes now a such a pro at sitting for them, and continues to love coming here. Our little one is now 1.5 and is having the same struggles as big sister. He has an extremely sensitive gag reflex and unfortunately threw up at the office just yesterday, but again, they were so nice about it. Their office is extremely clean, has ample parking, and ALL of the workers are so nice. Thank you Burlingame Pediatric Dentistry for your magic touch! We love coming here! Both had their polish and cleaning done in tandem and then Dr. Pham came by and did their exams. He has great bedside manner and made the kids feel comfortable. He was also thorough in explaining things to me as the parent and helping me understand what I could be doing better of to better take care of my kids' teeth. Each area is set up with a TV monitor on the screen playing a kid friendly movie which distracts the child when they are in the chair. They also got some stickers after their service and when checking out at the front, they got some coins that they could put into a gum ball machine and get some prizes. Overall, a very fun experience for them and helps frame a visit to the dentist as a positive experience.

They ask a lot of questions and curious about all their tools and yet, they take the time to answer and make them feel comfortable. We've never felt rushed. They make it a point for the kids to enjoy their visit. They have legos at the front that you can ask to play with to keep them busy while they wait. During the visit, they can play a movie to watch while they lay down to distract them. And after the visit, they have a lot of stickers to choose from. And they also offer a coin from the gum ball machine for a small toy to come out (no gums/candies) that my boys love to use and watch the toy roll down. We've always had such a great experience coming, so much that our boys ask when's their next dentist visit haha. The staff accommodates our schedule well and tries to get them in a back to back or same time slot appt, very helpful for us busy parents. Keep in mind they only have 1 or limited Saturdays open a month, so book early. The only area that could use improvement is the front desk. Greetings are inconsistent when we walk in, and when they do occur, they can come across as perfunctory and not genuine. I work in healthcare as well and understand how busy things can get, but a simple smile, a gesture to sit down, or a quick "hold please" to acknowledge my presence goes a long way. For a pediatric office, they could definitely be more welcoming. Otherwise they're straightforward to work with. Overall highly recommend. Big plus, they take Delta Dental insurance.

I miss him, but that same level of care has continued with Dr. Donald Yang. Dr. Yang is fantastic; he takes the time to thoroughly examine my teeth and always makes sure all of my questions are answered. I also love seeing my favorite dental hygienist, Felicia, who is hands down the best hygienist ever. The receptionist, Nina, is also wonderful; she's incredibly sweet and always helps by reminding me of my appointments. I highly recommend Dr. Donald Yang and the entire office. After I posted my review, Mark called me and offered money in connection with taking this review down. I found that completely inappropriate and inconsistent with how a reputable business should respond. The proper response would have been simple: refund the approximately $250 they charged me for a process that never resulted in the crown I specifically requested, and let me update my review accordingly. Interestingly, they now say they are willing to refund that amount, something they did not do before. Instead of simply correcting the issue, they first tried to buy my silence by offering me money to make this negative review disappear. Every word in my original review is correct, and I stand by it. P.S. Mark also emailed my other family members to terminate their care with this office, even though they had absolutely nothing to do with this dispute and were not even aware of it. To me, that felt vindictive and completely inappropriate. Original review --- I would strongly recommend avoiding Millbrae Dental Care for anything beyond a routine cleaning. Last year, I came in with a chipped implant crown and clearly told Dr. Tsai that I only wanted a natural-colored replacement, not gold. She agreed. They removed the crown, did some prep work, and charged me $250 out of pocket. Only afterward, Mark, whom Dr. Tsai calls in for implant-related questions, told me they would only provide a gold crown. I refused because that was specifically what I had said I did not want. They kept the $250 and reattached my old chipped crown. Apparently, they did a poor job of reattaching my screw-retained implant crown, which has to be unscrewed to remove and screwed back on to reattach. Today, during a cleaning, the technician noticed that the same crown was loose. Dr. Tsai again called Mark, who told me they would charge me another $850 to fix it. So they reattached the crown poorly last time, it is now loose, and they want another $850 to essentially unscrew it and tighten it back down. If you need anything beyond a standard cleaning, stay away from this office.

From the get-go, it was evident Dr. V and Paola had taken the time to properly review my insurance plan, as they made recommendations for x-rays and upcoming visits based on my plan benefits and timing. Paola also pointed out fluoride was not covered by my insurance before asking me whether I wanted it or not for my cleaning - this attention to detail and transparency is above and beyond what I've experienced at other dentists.
