Our daughter wasn't having it when the hygienist first tried to clean her teeth, which she assured us was normal, so Dr. Bronzini was able to come and do it. He spent the first part just chatting with our daughter and helping her feel relaxed. She wasn't super excited to get her teeth cleaned, especially not by a stranger, but Dr. Bronzini made it as efficient and painless as possible. He also showed us how to properly brush her teeth at home. One of the best parts of the visit was how much time he spent and never made us feel rushed at all. The front desk staff was super friendly too. Despite the tears at the office, our daughter always talks about "Dr. Bronzini" and how she wants to go back, haha! He did give her a toy at the end which was also appreciated! Bronzini was on a long list of dentists recommended by our pediatrician and I'm glad we chose him! The only thing is that it took us a while to get our first appt so I recommend making an appt as far ahead as possible, especially because we were not brushing our daughter's teeth properly up until he showed us how and you want to protect those precious teeth!

They ask a lot of questions and curious about all their tools and yet, they take the time to answer and make them feel comfortable. We've never felt rushed. They make it a point for the kids to enjoy their visit. They have legos at the front that you can ask to play with to keep them busy while they wait. During the visit, they can play a movie to watch while they lay down to distract them. And after the visit, they have a lot of stickers to choose from. And they also offer a coin from the gum ball machine for a small toy to come out (no gums/candies) that my boys love to use and watch the toy roll down. We've always had such a great experience coming, so much that our boys ask when's their next dentist visit haha. The staff accommodates our schedule well and tries to get them in a back to back or same time slot appt, very helpful for us busy parents. Keep in mind they only have 1 or limited Saturdays open a month, so book early. The only area that could use improvement is the front desk. Greetings are inconsistent when we walk in, and when they do occur, they can come across as perfunctory and not genuine. I work in healthcare as well and understand how busy things can get, but a simple smile, a gesture to sit down, or a quick "hold please" to acknowledge my presence goes a long way. For a pediatric office, they could definitely be more welcoming. Otherwise they're straightforward to work with. Overall highly recommend. Big plus, they take Delta Dental insurance.

Both had their polish and cleaning done in tandem and then Dr. Pham came by and did their exams. He has great bedside manner and made the kids feel comfortable. He was also thorough in explaining things to me as the parent and helping me understand what I could be doing better of to better take care of my kids' teeth. Each area is set up with a TV monitor on the screen playing a kid friendly movie which distracts the child when they are in the chair. They also got some stickers after their service and when checking out at the front, they got some coins that they could put into a gum ball machine and get some prizes. Overall, a very fun experience for them and helps frame a visit to the dentist as a positive experience.

My recent experience was similar to some of the other recent reviews. It seems the office staff…read morehas developed a rather poor attitude towards patients and is engaging in questionable insurance practices. Dr. Ambus, I hope you see this and the other reviews because your staff is doing a real disservice to your dental practice. My experience: Earlier this year, I enrolled in a new dental insurance plan. The insurance website listed Dr. Ambus as an in-network dentist that accepted new patients, so I called in February to schedule an appointment. The office staff checked my insurance, verified that it was accepted, and scheduled my appointment for May 31, 2021. In late March, I called to check if an earlier appointment date was available. The office staff checked my info again and informed me May 31 was still the earliest available, so I agreed to keep that date. In mid-May, my wife also decided to make an appointment for herself. Upon calling the office, the staff informed her that her insurance plan was not accepted. My wife was confused and explained that her husband (me) had the same insurance with an appointment set for May 31. The staff then looked up my name and stated that I was not on the "patient roster" and my appointment was already cancelled. This was very surprising because no one from this office had notified me about any cancellations or insurance issues. I then got on the phone to ask for clarification, to which I received a rude response that my insurance was not accepted and it was "not their responsibility to check a patient's insurance". This explanation appears to be a blatant lie because this office staff did in fact check my insurance back in February before scheduling my May 31 appointment! They also just checked my wife's insurance on the phone before declining her. When I asked her to clarify this again, she hung up on me. I then called my insurance and discovered that this office had recently changed its insurance policy to accept only higher premium plans and reject lower plans like mine. Now, I understand that the pandemic affected every business financially last year including dental providers, and dental offices are free to change their insurance policy at any time. However, it's very poor business practice to change insurance policy and cancel a patient AFTER the dental provider has already accepted that patient's insurance AND confirmed the appointment. Moreover, I am even more disappointed by the poor communication including the lies and appointment cancellation without bothering to call me to inform me. Had my wife not called them, I would have never known about the cancellation and just showed up for my May 31 appointment, only to be told no appointment existed. Although Dr. Ambus seems to be a capable dentist, her office staff treats people poorly with disregard for truthful communication. My incident is similar to what others have experienced lately, and I would recommend staying away to avoid dealing with the terrible office staff and questionable insurance practices.

Dr. Victor Lee and the team at Burlingame Orthodontics are the real deal!…read more I never thought I'd actually be able to straighten my teeth without traditional braces first because another orthodontist told me so. Dr. Lee made it happen, and then some. After a little over a year with Invisalign, the difference is incredible. My teeth and smile is straighter, but the bonus I didn't expect was how much my bite improved too. I used to constantly bite my lip and tongue, and that's just... gone now. Every visit, Dr. Lee took the time to walk me through my progress in a way that actually made sense. You never feel like just another patient moving through a conveyor belt, you feel informed and cared for. The staff is wonderfully friendly and seriously organized. As someone with a packed work schedule, I had to reschedule more than once and they were always understanding and quick to sort something out. Zero stress. A small bonus was their Nespresso coffee on the way out. Since I always came in on workdays, that little cup of coffee felt like a treat every single time. 10/10, highly recommend to anyone on the fence about Invisalign. This team will take great care of you.

Both of our children have received excellent care with absolutely no complaints. Frankly, Ess K.'s review says more about the reviewer than the office. The transcripts she so crudely included make it clear that Cathy explained the insurance payout process thoroughly and politely. To twist that into something negative or claim Cathy was demeaning is utterly inconsistent with her reputation and how she treats people. And a quick glance at Ess K.'s other reviews (mostly one or two stars for nearly everyone) tells you all you need to know. I'd take her comments about Cathy and Burlingame Ortho with a very large grain of salt.
