Wow!!! What a breakfast. The cider apple pancake special was the bomb. Their home fries and Canadian bacon were cooked perfectly. We only had to wait 5 minutes to get seated. Once seated the service was spot on. We sat outside on this beautiful fall day . A very enjoyable experience! read more

I love a good breakfast and they didn't disappoint. Order on door dash, food came packaged well and still very hot. I got the Giambott, two eggs scrambled with Italian sausage, banana peppers, pepperoni, home fries topped with mozzarella. It was amazing and so filling. I got it with rye toast, I wished the toasted had been more toasted, but that could of been from door dash traveling. But this was an amazing good breakfast, especially after a fun Friday night out! My son got the pancakes. Came with three very large cakes. He got a side of apples and cinnamon. He thought was going to be like the inside of an apple pie type sauce, but it truly was just cut up apples with cinnamon. But overall the pancakes were good! read more

I love it here . For a while it's been my Wednesday escape. In the summer I would take the kids for breakfest, and some days alone to unwind fir the week ahead . We love Nick and the staff. Always so friendly and treat the kids with such kindness. There recently renovated last year and it's so well lit and clean. Very welcoming , you feel right at home. Set yourself ans ger ready for some amazing food. The food is always fresh , delicious., and with so much to choose from. My go to is the #2. Which consist for your choice of 2 eggs , home fries, choice or meat (bacon, sausage or ham) Bacon is usually on my plate. Then your choice of toast. I get the homemade white, trust me you want to ask well. The kids get the chocolate chip pancakes. The only thing is the juice comes in a very small glass and no free refills. Besides that it's an absolute must go in . Thank you later . read more

Food was meh. The chicken souvlaki had no Tzatziki on it and was just bland. The server was sitting across the room in plain view, hollering across asking how our food was. Sodas out of a cooler were warm and no ice offered. Over all experience very mediocre. read more

Food was terrific, service was fast and there was a nice, welcoming atmosphere. The homemade raisin toast is unreal.

Love this place! The prices are reasonable, and Nick, the owner, is awesome--along with his amazing staff. They're always friendly and remember you when you come in, which makes it feel really local and welcoming. I used to frequent his father's location on Amherst and Bush, so I'm so happy Nick moved closer to my neighborhood. I go back whenever I get the chance. I would highly recommend Nick's Express for a great-quality breakfast, friendly atmosphere, excellent service, and of course, delicious food. read more

My partner and I wanted to go to a sitdown breakfast this past Sunday. Nick's Place Express is near our house and we've never been there so we gave it a whirl. It was really busy - so if you go there, make sure you have ample time to wait and eat. Some might complain about the wait, but a good diner on a Sunday morning will have a wait. Is what it is. The restaurant is pretty bare bones and simple inside. No-frills but clean. The service and food were excellent. The crispy home fries were the star of the show; crispiest I've ever had and they were just what the doctor ordered. The #2 was a standard homestyle breakfast done right. The Italian scramble (I forgot what it was called) was pretty zesty with the pepperoni and hot peppers and was just my style with Tabasco sprinkled on top. I would definitely recommend for a good weekend breakfast. Looks like they have good lunches too with a wide variety of sandwiches and wraps. read more

This is the first time going back to the reopening of Nick's Place since they moved off of Amherst. Firstly, the items have doubled in price, but are still worth the visit. Miss the old burger special, but the food and staff make it worth it. 5/5 star read more

Great as always Great portions, great quality food. One of my favorite breakfast spots in buffalo, and I LOVE breakfast. Always consistent. I usually order on doordash (however, I have been to the Nick's Place restauraunt on... Amherst Street?) My orders always come fast with no issues. I also looovee their homemade bread. I usually get the homemade white toast and it is so tasty! Highly recommend for a quick, inexpensive breakfast. read more

Such a cute little place. Excellent food. I had the #2 and they let me substitute regular sausage for turkey sausage. Usually a hit or miss but their turkey sausage was very good. Potatoes and homemade white toast were excellent as well. There seemed to be only one waitress when we went on 9/2 and she was great. She was waiting on the whole restaurant but was still quick and made sure to check on us. Prices were reasonable. Will definitely be back! read more

Best food ever and great prices I would say it is very nice American food. If you live in the area and don't feel like making yourself breakfast- this should be your go to spot! My husband and I order here probably once a week when we want a good breakfast but don't feel like cooking. The take out breakfast is quick and just as good as if you'd ate in. Menu - typical breakfast spot options Staff - super friendly They always have specials, so be sure to ask. We've eaten in once, and the service is quick- it's a small spot but they are expanding, just bought the building next door. read more

The food at Nick's place express is wonderful and home-cooked. Service is always very friendly and checks back on you during your time there. I was surprised to learn I didn't review this place yet! I have been here quite a few times. When I have company in town this always where I take them for a breakfast, and they never disappoint! This small, I mean small, there are only 5 tables and a bar is very easy to pass if you are driving down Elmwood so drive slow! Pro tip: look for the huge bakery sign, this hidden gem is right next door. On my most recent trip here I had the Buffalo chicken finger omelet, which at first glance sounds very odd, but it was absolutely delicious. The presentation was great and the fresh blue cheese crumbles really off set the spicy chicken fingers. They have daily specials from s'mores French toast, creme brûlée pancakes, to the savory crab cake eggs Benedict! There really is something for everybody. The owner/cook/ chef is always on site in the open kitchen where you can watch him make each plate with care. Pro tip: definitely try to get here early, they get busy fast. And it is a cramped restaurant. Be warned because it is small it is loud **UPDATE** This has become my favorite breakfast spot. Every time I come here, the specials are so delicyand creative! Every plate that comes out is a work of art. The chef prepares EVERYTHING with care. This time around I had the bacon Gouda sandwich and the Sponge candy pancakes. Only in Buffalo can you get SPONGE CANDY pancakes! Both dishes were beautiful and amazing. Can't say enough about the food. read more

The food and service were both excellent. I had the homemade corned beef hash and would get it again.

I've been multiple times since my initial review. I still have the same praises! Fresh homemade food, friendly service, small but cozy. Wonderful breakfast standard options, my usual choice BUT the specials are really something else. Today I had the pork souvlaki breakfast special. 3 Perfectly marinated skewers of pork chunks, 2 eggs of choice, home fries, choice of toast (homemade bread) and choice of feta or tzatziki. Plentiful portion, enough to take some home. read more

When I lived in Buffalo, I lived by the original Nick's on Amherst for a few years. I always heard good things. Well, this is Nick's son who run this location and lemme tell ya, he must get it from his dad! It is a very small place, but it seems they may be expanding soon! I got the special that they had for the weekend which was the French Croque Madame - basically a ham and cheese sandwich with egg and fresh greens on top. Just WOW! So flavorful. For me, it was the home fries. Fresh potatoes that were seasoned perfectly and were crisp but not deep fried. They were crunch and soft. I cannot stand the deep friend potato cubes some places call home fries. I met a very lovely older couple who I spoke with while I was eating and they also got the sandwich. They were not disappointed. They had some fried Feta cheese dish that sounded delightful and I can't wait to try it when I return! read more

My go-to for breakfast! You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I've had breakfasts/omelets/sandwiches and everything is delicious! I always call in my order, usually ready within 25 minutes, which is great!! Nice, friendly, small establishment BUT the portions are LARGE! Most of their items come with breakfast potatoes- you legit get a half container/probably 2 full potatoes cut up- you get a lot! *Try the Nicks Omelet- You won't be disappointed. Best Greek food in Kenmore/ N. Buffalo! Nick the owner is always so welcoming and his employees are equally so! Dan and I like going there for brunch on the weekends and usually order the Momma Mia! This consists of a large omelette of gyro, spinach, feta, and tomatoes equals deliciousness!! You have to get the side of crispy potatoes because their so tasty and the seasoning is just right. Make sure you ask for the homemade toast. You can choose from white, wheat, or cinnamon raisin. This is by far our favorite place to treat ourselves to go to on the weekends for brunch! Nick's Place Express is one of my favorite breakfast places! They put out new specials each weekend for brunch and Nick has some amazing dishes that I look forward to. My favorites are the eggs Benny and "Nick Griddle" which is Nick's epic version of a McGriddle. I opted for pancakes and bacon and I was not disappointed. I've had some of the breakfast classics like eggs, bacon, home fries, etc. and some of the lunch options...everything is always delicious! You just have to go there! Got breakfast, which was great! But I was too engrossed in my mimosas, lol. 2 different kinds. I really loved both. One is your normal mimosa. The other was an apple mimosa with an apple piece as a garnish. The regular one has a strawberry garnish. Very small place so we had a wait time in which you wait in your car and they call you to tell you when your table is ready. The staff could not be any nicer. Nephew gets the burger there everytime and loves it. Highly recommend!!! read more

I forgot to buy eggs so I went to an old standby. The restaurant is on the small intimate side. I ordered the country breakfast. Two pancakes or French toast 2 eggs ham bacon or sausage and toast. Very busy on a late Saturday morning but everything was running smoothly. Food came out relatively quick and hot. Food was all good. The ham was in two slices but flavorful. Eggs were very good and cooked perfectly over easy. The pancakes were fluffy but I found them difficult to cut with a fork seemed to be tough but they were tasty as well. This is a nice neighborhood place with good food and service. read more

The service wasn't great. Our waitress was not at all attentive. The orange and cranberry juice was not good. I received an eggs Benedict with a fried, fully cooked egg and yolk. Don't blink or you might miss this awesome unassuming restaurant on the corner of Elmwood and Westgate. Had the Chicken souvlaki today and it may have been one of the best I've ever had. It was ready for pickup when I was told it would be and the taff was very friendly and accommodating. There are so many places to get souvlaki in the area but when the chicken is seasoned and cooked just right, the way this was, it makes all the difference. read more

Me and my boyfriend visited Saturday morning and when we got there the outside was under construction and the inside wasn't a very good scenery. There was one waitress when me and my boyfriend visited which was no problem she was very nice in the beginning and started to begin being very snobby. The food was not very good at all for $50 that we spent the turkey sausage tasted like dog food or something and the eggs were very unseasoned. The drinks are not refillable as they are $3 and come in a tiny glass. All in all this restaurant is a 0/10 and i wouldn't recommend it to any who is visiting. read more
