The chicken philly was decent, but I wasn't expecting fried chicken. I was also disappointed with how soft the philly bread was compared with the toasted chicken parm. And jackpot it was. The Atmosphere: The outside looks like a place that's been closed for years but, don't let the outside fool you, this place is for real! The inside is also the bare minimum with two large (3-4 people) and three small (2 people) tables, counter service and a small accoutrement table. Bare minimum would be the words that come to mind. The Service: Although, as I previously mentioned, the only service is counter service, the service was five star. The young man was informative and, with the multitude of toppings, extremely helpful. Our orders came quickly in about 10 minutes. The Food: The sign says sour dough pizza which I've never had but, why not. And so, we ordered three small 14" pizzas; one Margarita pizza, one Calabresa pizza and one Spinach and Goat Cheese pizza. All were fantastic! Super toppings, great crust (my lovely bride never eats the crust and she not only ate hers but tried, unsuccessfully I might add, to finish off mine), everything totally fresh! It has the best and freshest ingredients by far on any pizza I've ever had. The sausage was so good and you could tell the pizza was made tender love and care. Allergy - 10/10 The staff was considerate of my food allergies and friendly. I'm not sure if they have gluten free options as I don't have this allergy but I'm sure if you call a head they can answer any questions you may have. Restrooms - There didn't appear to be any restrooms / we also didn't ask. I would say make sure you use the restroom before you go or order it for pickup and take it home with you. I placed my order at 6:43 p.m. and was told it would take about 15 minutes. I got there around 7:10-ish, gave them my name, paid, and was told my order would be out shortly. The place was packed, always a good sign. Pete was right there tossing dough and making pizzas, the place was clean, areas where there was seating, very busy, and had a great energy to it. If you wanted to grab a slice of pie, they definitely have those, but they also have pretty much every Italian-American comfort food you could want: rice balls, fried ravioli, garlic knots, Italian donuts, and more. I was pleasantly impressed by the selection. I found myself staring at the display case for so long that I eventually realized I had been standing there for close to 15 minutes. Then Pete yelled out, "I burned your order!" Apparently, because I order all my pies well done, he wasn't happy with how it came out and decided to make me a new one. Was I a little disappointed? We've picked up pizza from here a few times now, including the chicken parm, and everything has always been fresh, flavorful, and really good. But this past week really stood out to us. We have two toddlers, and one of them has some food allergies. The staff went above and beyond and made a specialty pie for her with their Sicilian sauce, and she absolutely DEVOURED it. That alone meant so much to us as parents. It was also our first time actually eating inside, and everyone was so incredibly kind and accommodating. I'm sure some people might roll their eyes when they see toddlers walking into a restaurant, but the staff here made us feel completely welcome. That kind of customer service is hard to find. And then we left with a cannoli donut that was OUT OF THIS WORLD and a cheesecake made by Peter's mom that was amazing.
