We finally found a cop in downtown and asked him. He said everyone usually went to Donna's and it was good. I've driven by Donna's many times but never had occasion to stop for a meal. Our server was friendly and our tableware was clean. Place was pretty empty but two tables seated after us still got their food long before we got ours. The wait for our meals seemed excessive and our food was ho-hum. The omelets weren't very large and the hashbrowns were very dry. Toast was dark and dry as requested. The coffee, was, as my partner said, more "brown water" than coffee. I left hungry and we ended up at McDonald's where I had two cheeseburgers and a large coffee. Our meals came to just over $26 for two omelets with toast; one order of hashbrowns; and two coffees.

The food honestly felt like home, which is exactly what I needed. The mac and cheese and the meatloaf? So good. That combo right there is a must don't overthink it, just order it. And please don't skip the crab dip... 10/10. I had to get it again because it was that good. The staff was great too. My server was a really sweet lady, super nice and welcoming. I also noticed the same cook both times, and he definitely knows what he's doing because everything came out consistent and good. I'll be honest, I was on the fence at first because of some of the reviews, but I'm really glad I gave them a chance. It was worth it.

The service was quick and homey, and even when it is busy, for how packed the place is, the food comes out pretty quick. You walk in, find your own seat, and they greet you quick, get you water, and get your order in quick and it is delicious. Love it, and can't wait to be back soon!

There's good parking and easy access for older patrons. The inside of the restaurant was nice and clean, looked newly remodeled and the staff were super kind. The coffee was pretty light and the bacon/sausage were nothing special. The rest of the meal was really good and came in around $15 + tip. Their menu seems to cater to "homestyle" cooking and I'd like to try some of their lunch offerings.
