While we were waiting I enjoyed the coffee from their Keurig. I handed the guy my punchcard and they marked off two oil changes, since they had given me full synthetic. I didn't know the difference and the guy who checked me in was a mechanic and not the regular office guy, so that's where the mistake was. That's okay though, lesson learned- make sure to ask for the synthetic blend. The punchcard lasts for two years, so I'm gonna get one for each of my cars because who can beat that deal?

Kohout's said that my rear bakes shoes were saturated in brake fluid, brake cylinders we're starting to leak, and drums need replacing. Kòhout's quoted me $750 to repair my rear. I called Les Schwab, and they gave me a quote of $466. I scheduled an appointment with Les Schwab to repair my rear brakes. When I took it in, Shawn from Les Schwab called me after their brake inspection to inform me that my brakes were good and only needed a minor brake adjustment. Les Schwab made the adjustment at NO charge. If I had gone with Kohout's inspection. I would have given them $750 for parts & labor that wasn't necessary.
