They came out to my house over the weekend and said that they will fix my panel for a outrageous price and when I said it was too much they kept giving me lower prices. Then they got mad cause I asked them to leave. Thank goodness that my husband pulled up to our house and told them to leave or he was going to call the police. THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS. David and his partner agreed to take down an existing old ceiling fan and install a new one for the agreed upon price. Did a good job, however, when he writes the final bill be aware there are hidden charges. There is a $10 recycling fee to take away the old fan. Another 3% fee if you use a charge card. In addition to tax there is also an insurance charge. Insurance for what??? Being a single 70 year old woman I didn't feel comfortable questioning the additional charges. No one I've hired has used "add ons" to get more money. In the future, I'll use the store's installers to put up my next fan. Even though they were efficient and professional, I would not recommend for the elderly on social security who need to know costs upfront. read more

He quickly assessed the problem and gave me a reasonably priced solution. He cleaned out my breaker box (full of spider webs, debris, and dirt); he spray painted the rusted back panel to match the color of the box, installed 4 breakers, and created a customized lid. Nicks electric came and installed 3 digital timers to replace our manual switches and our shower light fixture for $150!! good deal for 3 timers is $50 and i had them fix the bathroom light fixture. I gave him only 14 hours notice and Nick (the owner) and David came to our house to fix 4 things in only 1 hour. This company was amazing for their service and the cost was reasonable. My circuit breakers wouldn't turn back on so being native I tried flipping them off then on with no positive outcome.(The living room was out of power) Using yelp I looked up electricians in the Chino Hills area and found out Nick's Electricity was highly recommended so gave them a call. Nate picked up and was super Helpful and they came the next day. The next day Dave called me and provided updates of when he was coming and by what time he was coming by. He called me when he was 30 mins from my house and told me he would come by 10:00am. He came at 9:55 am on time and super nice and fixed the problem and now I have power back in my living room. I am updating my review because of Nick's unbelievable commitment to being a 5-star company. I did have an initial issue with the work that was performed when installing a ceiling fan. When I called Nick to complain, he apologized and sent someone the next day to fix it. While it was definitely better, I still wasn't 100% satisfied. I figured that was the end of it, but Nick is committed to seeking that 100% satisfaction rate, so he came out again to make sure that he fixed everything that I could possibly have a concern about. We had about half the outlets of our upstairs go out in the middle of the night. They sent Dave out quickly and he did an amazing job fixing everything and for a great price. We previously used another electrician that was recommended to us through Home Depot, who over charged for everything. We were quoted $200 for a light switch to be swapped out and Nicks Electric did it for $25. Blown away by customer service! Nick was one of five electricians I called that actually answered his phone. I had a limited time frame to work with, so he kept in contact with me via text to make sure he could get some one out to help me hang my chandelier. Christopher showed up on time, and was super nice. He quoted me on the chandelier, which at first, I thought was a little high. However, after seeing how much trouble it was to hang up a "custom" chandelier, and five hours later, which also included trouble shooting, the price was a bargain! Honestly, I think any other electrician would have given up or told me they couldn't do it. True professionals! read more

Hard to believe...First time this homeowner ever needed an electrician. I was Ahh-scared!! Heard lots of horror stories from others who went through this expensive ordeal. The lights & power seemed to be flickering and fluctuating in only one part of the house. I began envisioning them racking up hours of hunting down the wires from the fuse box up through the attic and to each and every plug & switch. Moving everything, chasing & capturing unseen dust bunnies and filling out loan papers. This is my idea of scary. Checked the fuse box and all seemed to be ok. No flames. Because it was in only one section of the house, knew it was more than replacing a doodah. Googled what it might mean and when it said "serious" for me it meant more than a handyman! Electricians are licensed for a good reason. Electrical problems cause a lot of house fires! Since this is an older house ('78) and I don't take chances with bad electricity, to me it meant I couldn't procrastinate. Did reviews on many of the other sites (Thumbtack, Angie's, Craigslist, Yellow pages, friends and of course Yelp with what seemed logical and affordable in finding an electrician. One suggested I make an appointment (Construction Co), one said it would be rough to quote & to schedule an appointment. Called Nick and left message. Got a call right back and said I'd get a call the next day an hour before they would arrive. When they arrived, I showed them the areas and the fuse box. After reviewing the situation, they explained in detail what what going on with one of my circuits and how they would check out the outlets etc, etc.. They gave me a price and said they could do the job, it was up to me. I know how expensive it is to have anyone show up at your door, but to do a licensed troubleshooting & repair w/parts for what they quoted seemed reasonable. After all, professional people aren't working for the fun of it either. I went with it. They knew exactly what to do. They showed me outlets that were old and needed to be replaced. They showed me a sub box that had hot wires exposed. They advised this was important maintenance and one outlet was overloaded. I thought it was just old as the plugs never stayed in. They worked very thoroughly and gave suggestions for what to consider in the future (have all the other outlets & switches looked at) and upgrade the older circuits in the "old" fuse box. I've been here for 20 years and believe many things in a home need upgrading from time to time. I will call them again! read more

90% of my house did not have power. I tried to troubleshoot everything on my own by going online, researching, youtube, etc. I was not successful on restoring my power on my own. I found Nicks Electric here on Yelp, and saw that he was available "24/7." Today is Saturday, and Nick personally came to my house within 30 minutes of my first call, and fixed my problem in less than an hour. I'm still shocked by my awesome experience (no pun intended). I had a pretty good idea of how expensive this could've been, but I put my trust and confidence in Nick and boy did he deliver. He was very professional in his appearance, and was very friendly. He had a professional truck with all the tools and instruments to perform diagnostic tests. Ultimately, he gave a very fair price for a lot of work and he even included a warranty. When he was done, my power was back on, my breaker box was cleaned, and he even installed new wall plates, outlet covers, and new light switches which weren't even part of the estimate.
