Let me just start off by saying Nick was the ONLY company on google to answer after my electric had been out since 6pm yesterday. My fuse box was sparking and smoking I called Southern California Edison and time no surprise no one EVER SHOWED UP.. I have two small children in the home one who is medically respiratory compromised. So having no ac or fan for my family was extremely hard and not to mention dangerous. BUT! I saw Nicks Electric's reviews here on Yelp and called to schedule a repair on a very high ceiling fan that we could not operate with any of the dozens of wall switches or dimmers in the immediate vicinity. Nick called me back while I was leaving him a message (how's that for fast turnaround?), and suggested immediately that the fan was likely a remotely controlled model, and that we should check with the previous owners for a remote. He volunteered readily to assist further should the need arise--but it did not. The remote control that we had incorrectly assumed controlled our new fireplace (because our old fireplace had a vaguely similar-looking remote) was, in fact, a control for the fan. I can't begin to say how grateful I am for Nick and Edwin. We've used them about 8-10 months and immediately we were amazed by their demeanor and amazing, laid back, but very professional personality. Well, we started having an issue with a breaker tripping at a rapid pace. It happened all of a sudden and it was repetitive throughout the day. So much so that it was a no brainer to call Nicks again. He came out with Edwin (I believe) and they assessed the situation and gave us a quote. Unfortunately the quote (not unreasonable by any means) was out of our budget. We have 4 kids and we rescue animals, so money is always kept close in our household. I had to say, "I'm sorry, but we can't afford that right now." Which truly hurt because I know the quality of work that they do and that the problem wasn't going to go away. That's when he said, "look, you're repeat customers and I wanna make you happy. I know the situation and ole ! I want to help you out. What can you do"? He gave us his bottom line and we agreed. HE HELPED US OUT TREMENDOUSLY!!! I can't thank him enough. It's even more heartfelt because I'm permanently disabled, collecting disability and were basically a one income family. First off, he showed up on time, took a look at the job and explained what it was he was going to do and how or when it might affect our work flow. (Very appreciated) My husband, who had been trying to dabble in electrical at our home, picked his brain while DeAndre did the outlet installs we needed. He was the most polite contractor we have ever had do work for us. He used one of our office trash cans for scrap as he was working, the not only cleaned the floor around his work area, but then also took out the trash can! Nick really bailed me out of a jam. I tried to fix something myself and really messed things up. He came to my house within 30 minutes of my phone call. He was courteous and well spoken. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my electrical outlet and upon fixing it, restored power to my other outlets in the same breaker. My problem was, that one outlet failed and it caused others to fail (including my fridge and aquarium). I am so thankful to Nick for saving my fish. He fixed it so quickly, that I showed him two other electrical outlets that were not working. He determined that those ones were just "loose wiring" and fixed those outlets as well. To put it in perspective, those outlets have not worked for 6 years (the time I have been in my home), and he fixed the problem in 6 minutes. I have had an 2016 EGolf electric car for the last 2 year I just had the charger plugged into a wall outlet. I love the eGolf never go to the gas station and HOV access. Last weekend my wife bought the 2018 Nissan Leaf it comes with a NEMA charger with a converter for a wall outlet. So last night I plugged both cars in and went to bed. When we woke up neither car was charged because the excess load had tripped the breaker. I was stuck at home with no car to get to work so I checked Yelp. Nick is a certified Tesla charger installer and it shows. When he arrived he quickly assessed the situation and offered two options all new electrical panel or he could reconfigure our old one and install a desiccated 110 outlet for the eGolf and a NEMA outlet for the Leaf. He suggested putting the chargers in our garage cabinets for easy storage. The whole install took under two hours. Very happy with the result.
