so, I really wanted to like this place, but upon going home I'm actually pissed off. My boyfriend's cut was fine. however, I've been wanting an undercut which I've had before. previous my boyfriend or friends have done it. I know it's not hard. I showed him a picture and gave him roughly where I wanted it to land. it's uneven both as lines and where it falls on my ears. on top of that, I got charged $2 more than my boyfriend. for "long hair". my bf had longer hair coming in on top of I got a blade cut, and he got a scissor cut. make it all make sense. I'm glad this place is good for some things, but if you're a woman wanting a simple undercut, I'd do it at home and save your money. read more

FYI, make sure you sign in or you will be A$$ out! Never been here before and apparently non of the barbers want to make sure you know what the program is... I arrived and there was no wait. I decided to be courteous and allow the barber count her money in peace. Little did I know as I took a seat that there was a sign in sheet next to her. Good looking out barber.... Guess I found out the hard way when the barber decided not to greet me nor give me heads up. Another two customers arrived and I saw him sign in and one of them signed in for the two of them. You would have thought the barber would have said something. Maybe, "sorry but he was here first???" What a joke! Nick's has been a Norco staple for 41 years. Service is amazing and is a family owned business passed down generations.

I won't recommend coming if you are looking for experienced barbers. I ask to not cut the top of my hair and he still did anyways so now I have a messed up cut. There are better barbers that know how to do fade than this shop. read more

I'm sorry that not everything is unicorns and rainbows about my review, so I'll leave you with a positive note at the end of this that will make you happy. Thanks for agreeing with one of my points in my original post. Even though your sign has been posted, you have employees that lied to me about changing prices due to COVID. If I were going to complain about a haircut I would have gone to supercuts or fantastic sams. Continuing, why would not following COVID guidelines be "scary", it's literally just a guideline that is recommended to follow. If I state that you guys do not follow those guidelines and your response to that is with sarcasm/belittlement there is clearly something about the Covid guidelines that affects you personally. Instead of your emotion filled response, a simple, "I apologize about your past experiences with us and I hope to resolve these issues if they ever come up again" would have been great. The only positive experiences about this place would be the decor (if you're into patches and stuff) and the quality work from the ladies who work here, without them your business would not have as many positive reviews as it does. read more

My first time here. Not gonna lie. I was skeptical since the last barber shop I took my son to ruined his hair. First they had a very nice woman start but my 3 year old freaked out. I asked for a guy. Not sure why I thought it would work. It did. They gave me Buddy. He was very fast and efficient. I really liked the way it turned out. When I signed in we were 6th in line. It went pretty fast and was seen about 30 min after signing in. Buddy wasn't terrified to work on my son which transferred to my son actually sitting through it. Buddy was patient with him and again very efficient. I'm very picky with my son's fade. The price is extremely reasonable. I thought way too generous I tipped $12. The last place I had taken my son to was double the price and did a very terrible job. Walk in only. I rarely do reviews but this place really deserves one. Def coming back. read more

I came here because my 2 boys needed a haircut and this was the only barber shop close by taking walk ins. They're walk ins only - no appointments. I called in advance and found out it's cash only, so I made sure to stop by the bank beforehand. They do have an ATM inside but there's likely a fee, so I'm glad i called. We arrived and signed in at the counter. It was fairly busy but we didn't wait long at all. Tom and Yeni (sorry if I got her name wrong) cut my boys' hair and they both did a great job. It was $18 a haircut, which is a great price. I was in and out in about 40 mins. We'll be returning! read more

Went on a Friday morning. All the "fancy" and hip barbershops were booked all day and I needed a fresh cut for a wedding that afternoon. Walked in around 8:45 am got sat right away. Female barber with pink hair was quick and the cut is good. Very little small talk and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. Price was fantastic at 20$ and she was surprised at the 6$ tip I gave her. Much better than the 40$ they want at the fancy barbershops and quicker too. I will definitely come back. read more

Very nice atmosphere and everyone that works. There is polite and very nice. I forgot to ask my female barber her name, but she did an amazing job. I love my haircut and look like I had a total transformation from when I came in and after she finished I'll definitely come back over and over. she was second stall closest to the restroom. I came to this place after my barbershop shut down in Corona. Some barbers just know exactly what to do without asking too many questions. They are "just right" and you're not sure why. It's hard to find a new barber when you move or they move. This barbershop is not " "just right" for me. But it's OK. I am not unhappy with my haircut. The barber was efficient and he did the cut with certainty. I'm giving the place 3 stars for three reason: (1) They don't take cards. If you don't have cash, you have to use one of those ATMs you use in liquor stores. You know the kind. You normally use them when you're making bad choices in life. They charge you two-something to take money out. It's 2022 for Chrissake. Take cards, take Zelle, take something besides cash. (2) No smiles, no laughter, no natural conversation. What's up with the atmosphere? First, it feels tense in there. It's like everybody is uncomfortable for some reason. Nobody, neither customers nor barbers, are enjoying themselves. There's no camaraderie nor warmth (as far as I can tell). (3) The customer service needs work. It's fine. You come, they do the job, you pay, you leave. Barbers can work on their people skills. Come here if you want an OK haircut that doesn't WOW you, and make sure you bring cash. read more

Best barber shop in Riverside county. It's got that old school barber shop type vibe. Most of the people cutting are Hispanic women and they do great haircuts for 20 dollars. Which is unheard of these days because most shops are charging 30 plus dollars for a regular men's cut. This will be my go to place for now on. Go here, you won't be disappointed. read more

Update after the owner asked me to give the shop another shot.... Went in, showed the lady a picture of exactly what we wanted...and made it very clear to not touch the sideburns. LEAVE whatever sideburns he has. She gave my son a haircut that was NOT like the picture...the top was left scrappy too long, the back and sides were shaved down so short, you could sort of see his scalp through the hair, it was so short...... and the back....she squared in a new hairline! She literally shaved off about 1/2" of my son's hairline. You can tell, because it's stark white skin where she shaved it off. She also took off 100% of his sideburns!!! I would give the girl 3 stars...she wasn't the worst we've had. But the shop gets 1 star....we can't go back when we can't even get the haircut that we asked for. The best part.....in the middle of the haircut, she dropped the comb, picked it up off the floor and kept going with the haircut...using the same comb. Didn't get a clean one, didn't "pretend" to clean it...just kept going. That's pretty nasty. I'm not sure what is up with this shop, taking off sideburns and "squaring off" hairlines...but that's not what we asked for and it's def not the picture we showed. We tried..... P.S. We didn't ask for a free hair cut, as offered by the owner, we paid full price. read more

THEY NO LONGER ACCEPT DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS - NOT ALL BARBERS CANT STRAIGHT RAZOR I have been coming into Nick's for a little less than a year since I started working in Corona. I travel each week I would stop in every 2 weeks or so and get trimmed up for the weekend. When I first went in it was good. Always finished with a straight razor shave as any real barber shop would. The past 3-4 months that service has gone down in my opinion. They have people cutting hair who can't straight razor finish. I have been shaved with disposable razors which is OK but not why I come to a barber shop. I can do that at home after going to supercuts. Today was my last time visiting the establishment that I have turned people onto from my work and I will start sending them to another place when I find one. I walked in 3 barbers going at it was not greeted at all. I waited for one of the barbers, who I know does the straight razor finishes, and had to ask to make sure that I got the finish I waited for. ALSO, they are no longer accepting credit cards/debit cards. I was charged 2.25 to use the ATM that they recently set up and will be charged again by my bank. I usually tip $5.00 if they don't wreck my hair reguardless if I feel that it is to short or whatever. Today I debated about not tipping and saying get it out of your ATM machine. Thanks for the time Nick but your place will not be getting my $14.00 any longer. read more
