I've been bringing my kids to Shipwrecked Barber Shop for a while now, and Zay never disappoints. He always goes above and beyond and makes sure my boys leave looking fresh every single time. One thing that really stood out to me was when another barber shop had messed up my son's hair. Zay wasn't there that day, but Jay took us in last minute, fixed everything up, and was super chill about it. He didn't even charge me, which honestly says so much about the type of people they are. Of course I still made sure to leave him a good tip because the service was amazing. The whole shop has such a chill, welcoming vibe. I mainly get cut by Jr. who does a clean, consistent cut every time - 10/10 recommend. I've also gotten cut by Dany who also did a great job and executed to a tee. Came in as a guinea pig for a coworker's husband, as we both have been looking for a good barber in our area. Rolled the dice and made an appointment for a cut and shave before my vacation. When I pulled up, aside from a lack of these traditional Barber's pole, the shop gave me the feel of an classic barber with a touch of tattoo parlor (and i mean that as a compliment). When I found this barbershop I was looking for a barber who could consistently cut and shape my beard. And not only that, give me the same excellent service every time I come in. That includes the hot towel, razor and detail. My barber is Gus and he is legit and attentive. I now bring my son in to get his hair cut and he really likes his cuts as well. If you're looking for a new barber shop for a super clean, professional cut and an awesome atmosphere with barbers that know what they're doing, pay attention to detail and DON'T cut corners, this shop is for you! I have a mole on the back of my head that sticks out, even after asking hairstylists to cover it/ blend it in at places like (super cuts, etc) but David REALLY took his time to make sure it was hidden and the haircut still looks complete!! (Reference the pictures! CANT EVEN SEE IT UNDER THE HAIR) I've never had a better haircut than the one I got today. The only downside is, I'll be coming back and spending my money on a quality haircut - but I'm glad it's going to a local shop like Shipwreck where haircut quality is unmatched!! 20/10, I recommend David and his Hair/ Beard services! My son's first visit to Shipwreck Barbershop, it took us a lot of trial and error with other places but finally found the place for him. Appointment set-up was very convenient online, everyone there has great customer service, from receptionist to the person charging. We were fortunate enough to have Karen as his Barber. Karen was on top of it, knew exactly what I meant immediately. Has great customer service, was prompt, kind and professional. I was stunned at their pricing, you will NOT get a better haircut for the money anywhere else. They also have their own pomade, we've been using Suavecito for a long time but Shipwreck's has stronger hold and less cologne type scent. I've been coming here after my go to barbershop in corona abruptly closed, the vibe here is pretty good unlike some other douchey barbershops and all the barbers are pretty good, so why only a 3 star review you ask? Normally I say this place would get a 5 star rating from me but they kept jacking up the prices, yes I get the whole inflation bs but the last time I went I was paying $50 (5 dollar tip) maybe if I looked like Brad Pitt that would be justified but sadly I'm not worthy of a $50 haircut and I know these guys have to eat but they simply priced themselves out for this fugly poor chump. We came here because my son had a terrible experience with going to a barber for the first time. Dany takes his time and truly gets to know his clients. I frequently get my hair cut and I have some unique issues with my hair. It's not easy for me to find a barber and barbershop that I enjoy going to, not just for the great haircuts that Dave gives me, but also for the overall experience. Since I move around a lot, I had to find a new barber when I moved to Corona because my old one was in Glendale. Although I loved his haircuts, I couldn't drive out there all the time. I consider myself fortunate to found have Dave. He is a fantastic barber. He knows what I want and how to get it done. I don't always give the clearest instructions but Dave listens and somehow knows what I am trying to tell him. I always leave there feeling great because I always love what he does. I recently moved to Lake Elsinore, so I ve been looking for a good barber. My previous barber works all the way in Brea so the drive is pretty ridiculous now. Anyway, I decided to book an appointment with JR. His midfade was pretty good just a bit higher than what I am used to. I'm bad at explaining myself so it could have just been me. He also fixed up the beard and his skills with the straight edge are impressive. All in all not a bad cut. Still would like to see how the other barbers cut, so I'll be trying someone else out, but JRs skills are adequate. The shop is clean well kept and the receptionist was friendly.
