She was behind the bar. Not friendly at all. She got annoyed when we asked her to put a game on the tv. I saw her bark orders and be rude at some of the staff I felt bad for them. She kind of freaked out behind the bar a couple times yelling. Other than that, so yummy, waitresses were great. The owner Sam came over and checked on us and chatted with us for a bit also so that was nice. He told me they've been there for 40+ years. Love it. We'll def be back.

It made me wonder--is Fishtown just packed with families, or does the park send everyone here? Their cheesesteak menu offers several different proteins, and after chatting with the very friendly bartender, I took the recommendation and ordered the Kielbasa Cheesesteak with tots. First, let's talk about the tots. Outstanding. Crispy, golden, and exactly what tots should be. The kielbasa itself was excellent. Am I completely sold on kielbasa cheesesteaks? Not yet. That might just be my old-school thinking. I still believe kielbasa belongs on a soft pretzel roll with spicy mustard. That said, if you're going to order a kielbasa cheesesteak, this is a very good version. The beer selection is excellent, the staff is welcoming, and the atmosphere makes Interstate Drafthouse the kind of neighborhood spot you'll want to come back to--even if you're not there for the cheesesteak..

I've been eyeing this place up for the past 3 years. Ever since I began working at 8th and Market this place seemed like the punchline to the joke that is the Gallery. My friends and I have been talking about coming here forever -- $2.50 Tuesday night "Woowoo"s have been calling our names. Not sure what a "woowoo" is but it can call your name. I promise. Walked in, took a seat and were immediately attended to by a waitress that is exactly what I am looking for when I hit a dive bar -- like a diner waitress with booze. She was great. Us: "The appetizer platter, is that good?" Her: "Yep." Us: "Like you'd say any different" Her: "If it tasted like crap I would tell you. I don't want to serve anything that tastes bad." Thanks lady. It was good! As was the grilled cheeses with tomato. And the Woowoo's weren't bad either if you like a sweet drink. Especially if Perry himself is slinging drinks! The beer doesn't go beyond Budweiser for drafts, but at $2.50 a glass that's just fine even if it is a little warm. The cranberry for the vodka cranberry was warm in the back, and not in the actual bar, but it worked for the price. Especially when the bar featured an unused pool table and shuffleboard to enjoy, and it featured unusual art like a Dean Martin portrait made out of Camel Cigarettes.
