Had brunch here which seems a bit out of place for a dressed up restaurant, but I was willing to give it a shot. Staff were quite pleasant and attentive. I ordered what I thought would be basic and boring chicken sausages with scrambled eggs, but it turned out to be put together very well. I didn't know a chicken sausage could be so good! My favourite part though was the bread, charred on the side and perfectly oven-baked.
Coffee was uninspiring, but I can't say it was bad at all. It was served in a nice little cup which matched the theme of the place very well.
My biggest reason for a 4 and not a 5 was the atmosphere which I found was too formal-dining-esque to really work for a weekend morning brunch. I'm not sure whether it was the lighting, the awkward pop music playing in the background, or the lack of natural light...but I really think it needs something to switch the ambience. Probably consult an interior designer instead of me, but I think some light-hearted jazz music with some plants/flowers wouldn't go astray.
The pricing was not as outrageous as the rest of the lunch and dinner menus seemed, but it represented what I thought was to be expected for a good meal experience. read more
