Was down the shore this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised to hear of the Nick and Sons bakery in Spring Lake! I had never been to the one in NY so was interested in trying it. It is located in the very cute down town area of the town and was not too crowded around 9-10 AM when we went. The outside seating area was very nice and the shop was small and quaint. Despite being out of many of the items that interested me the most(due to its popularity I assume) we decided to try some croissant, cinnamon roll and a few other items. These were very fresh and had good flavor. The croissant was very buttery, flaky, and probably the most delicious thing I ate. Prices are a little high, but you are definitely paying for the premium and also inflation. Overall a solid place that I highly recommend visiting.

Didn't love the pastries here but the bread was lovely. The cinnamon roll type thing was dry. The apple danish was ok. Every pastry I had was just a touch dry. The sourdough bread was good and I would get it again. I made avocado toast with it and it was delicious. Apparently the croissants are good but I didn't get one this time. The place is quaint and the people are friendly. I'm sure the locals love it. I got it at 3.5 stars.

“So lucky to have this Parisian level of bread/croissants RIGHT HERE in Southern Monmouth County.....at the "Irish Riviera" to boot.”

Our products, Belvidere Biscuits, are a sinfully decadent sweet artisan dessert- a soft, rich, and dense biscuit. We have combined our 130-year-old recipe with Victorian-themed branding and have created what we believe is a singular dessert experience. Our biscuits are handmade, small batch, artisan baked goods. Each batch is created by hand, and all ingredients hand cut and mixed, and with no machinery, ensuring the integrity of each mouthwatering ingredient. This is why you'll see whole chocolate chips, and large chunks of fruit and nuts. We put no preservatives, no dyes, and no artificial flavoring into our product. Spectacular job on my son's birthday cake!…read more Chocolate Carousel made my wedding cake 13 years ago, so when it came time to celebrate my son's birthday, there was no question where I was going. They earned my trust years ago, and they exceeded my expectations once again. From my very first phone call, Rylee was an absolute pleasure to work with. She made the entire process effortless, patiently answered all of my questions, and put my mind at ease every step of the way. I came in with an AI-generated image of the cake I envisioned. We all know AI images don't always translate perfectly into a real cake, but Chocolate Carousel brought that vision to life better than I could have imagined. The attention to detail was incredible, and the finished cake looked amazingly close to the original design. The cake wasn't just beautiful--it was absolutely delicious! We chose chocolate and vanilla cake with cannoli cream, and it was one of the freshest cakes we've ever had. Every single slice disappeared before the party was over! Thank you to Rylee and the talented team at Chocolate Carousel for creating such a stunning and delicious centerpiece for my son's 36th birthday. You helped make his celebration unforgettable, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for a truly special custom cake.
