After calling just about every service provider in the area, I found most places were very slow to respond--and many won't return a call at all. Apparently demand outpaces supply in this area, and it really shows. Jake at Baldwin was the first person to get back to me. He took a lot of time to truly understand the project, and I never felt rushed even though I'm sure everyone at Baldwin was quite busy. By the time even our first call was over, I had a far great understanding of what was needed in terms of the technical requirements of the hardware (heater models, wiring, etc), the installation itself, and the overall process (estimate, install, inspection, etc.). As a result, I was much more confident about the next steps and we followed up from there. Jake's response showed an impressive level of professionalism. I greatly appreciated hist effort to understand and communicate with me about the project. It speaks very highly of Baldwin as a company.

We also have a lot of cars in our driveway on most weekends. Tim and his crew always take care of our driveway and they often come back the same day or the day after the storm to re-plow the driveway. Our first year at our house, we used another "reputable" company in town because we heard they been around the longest. They have good staff too. Unfortunately, when we contacted them to re-plow our driveway because of the amount of snow and even willing to pay extra to have it re-plow because it would take all Friday evening to clear the driveway before my friends get in, the owner came to my house, spoke down to me, and told me he will not send anyone to clear the driveway. I was in disbelief by how he spoke to me, and sadly, I spent 3 hours removing snow manually to ensure my friends can park when they arrived. Following year, we switched to Tim's Snow Removal and cannot be happier. Thanks Tim and crew! :)

He's cleaned countless homes across the area so he instantly knew our floor plan and what he would need to ensure our carpets would be brought back to life. When he arrived he was professional, and very educational. At one point he asked if we had pets because he could tell a particular pet care product was overly harsh to the carpet and that we'd be better off using soap and water or an enzyme-based product. He was prompt in his communication, on-time when he said he would be here, and was honestly a breathe of fresh air when it comes to service based businesses. Thanks Curtis! The carpets look great!

Almost every conversation about status and issues related to the escrow were because I asked, not because they were doing their jobs and pushing information to all parties. Numerous exceptions during the course of the escrow and each was handled worse then the next. The problems were some issues with the second party but no much in the way of notifications were sent. Again on checking the status it was a pull of information not a push. I have worked with many other escrow and everything about the interaction with the people that worked there was near rude. Problems happen during an escrow but it is the escrow companies responsibility to notify the parties and keep information related flowing, they were a zero and bothered when asked. The inyo-mono people lacked transparency at every stage of the transaction. Deliverable were late and while they scrambled to close the escrow, it felt like I was dealing with incompetent people that really did this as a sideline. I had to ask many times for information with terse answers and when asked for time frame for deliverable they were never directly answered, again unprofessional. I saw terse and near rude conversations via email when this information was requested. This is Unacceptable for any business and only escalates my frustration. The entire transaction felt super unprofessional and every interaction as a customer felt like I was asking for a favor. Escrow closed, and a day later no closing documents. Had to ask for them, why do I need to do this? If they were ready send them don't make the customer reach out and ask. Again, why? Their is not a lot of choices, but I would NOT recommend these folks for any reason. I have close many homes and business transactions and have never seen such unprofessional people that were just plain BAD at their jobs and serving the needs of the customer. Nothing short of creating a very stressful and frustrating experience.
