When I got there, everything was fairly smooth. Staff were polite, and even though it was a little busy, they seemed to handle things steadily. The assistant who took me in asked about a variety of things and even checked in about older conditions which I hadn't mentioned right away. That showed they had really looked at my history. The doctor came in shortly after and sat down to talk through the concerns. They asked some questions I hadn't thought of and made sure to clarify what I had said earlier. The way they explained things was measured and didn't include a bunch of medical talk I wouldn't understand. They mentioned a few ways I could make small changes and encouraged me to keep track of how things progress. I appreciated that they weren't trying to sell me anything or push too hard in one direction. The approach was balanced, and they seemed more focused on long term improvement than quick fixes. I contacted this office because my insurance shows this dentist as my "in-network" dentist. I immediately checked yelp for reviews and had noticed a post of children coming to this office. So i contacted them for an appointment and explained to the person on the phone that my 5 yo. Son was seen at a previous dentist that did great with his cleaning. She continued to take down my information and was suppose to call me back for appointments.. the receptionist then had the Manager or billing person contact me to tell me that their dentist does not see children. Wow that was a bit disappointing after I had already given the initial person all my information. Don't recommend if you have children and looking for a family doctor read more

The office is a master class in clean! Every touch surface is covered in plastic, the hygienist scrubbed like she was going into surgery. My hygienist was so gentle and thorough. Dr Chiotellis is very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm extremely satisfied with the level of care I received. read more

I found your office one day when I was waiting to go inside of the adjacent lab. I was so happy Dr Chiotellis was taking new patients. I didn't want to have to drive to San Jose or Morgan Hill. This office is currently right down the street from my house. I was greeted by the receptionist (Carmen) and x ray tech. I felt truly special as they sat me down and began assessing my health and prepping me for x rays. The doctor came in shortly thereafter. We had a conversation about several issues and he began the exam. I was impressed with the time he took to look at my teeth. He even assessed an issue I was having and asked me to bring in my mouthguard. Dr Chiotellis was very thorough and I was impressed with that. The cleaning I got was excellent and took almost no time. I'm very happy with the choice I made to come to this office. I'm particular about who works on my teeth and Dr Chiotellis and his office is just what I was looking for. read more

I am pretty picky about my dentist and I think Dr. Chiotellis is pretty great. I was at my last dentist for about 12 years. I had a crown done by him twice after a root canal and I went to Dr. Chiotellis to repair it when it broke after I moved to Gilroy. Not only is the crown he made me a stronger one that is less likely to crack again, but it feels much more like a natural tooth and he took a lot of care in filing it so that my bite was comfortable. He didn't file it in my mouth like my last dentist. He saved me the jaw pain and filed it until it was perfect and installed it. I hate it when dentists tell jokes or ask you questions when they have a bunch of tools in your mouth. He doesn't do that. He doesn't try to be my friend and fake an interest in my life. He discusses my teeth, he talks to me about preventing future damage, explains things well when I have questions, and appreciates feedback whether it is good or not.
