I selected maybe because the dentist woman is really nice. My issue is her receptionist. A couple years back I went here. Gave them the same insurance I still have. When I called to make a new appointment yesterday this rude woman on the phone was questioning my insurance if it was a PPO or HMO and off the top of my head I didn't know so I told her I'll bring the card and we will figure that out but before I could finish she rudely interrupted me to say "we don't take HMO, So..." just writing me off like I can't go to them and wasn't confirming the appointment. Just her tone with me pissed me off. I immediately popped back at her "Cash? You guys done accept cash???" Then she confirmed the appointment. I hung up and arrived today. Didn't bother to ask me for my card to check into it. I deliberately gave my card to the kid helping me with the Xrays. After I does done. She tells me she couldn't find me. My wife has killer insurance. Never a problem anywhere I go. Ever! $5 prescriptions. Very low if any visit co-pays even for specialties. If they take Aetna they take our insurance. She handed me the card back claiming she couldn't find me. I showed her the card again showing her you mean my name that's right here on the card? "Well I can't find your wife on dental". Once again same insurance I used before at this same dentist. I happily paid cash, canceled the follow up visit and antibiotics as my wife has already set me up with another dentist. Don't assume people can't afford out of pocket. I make plenty of money to pay for full blown implants full cash pay if I wanted to. It's the tone this B$&ch had with me. Immediately dismissing me on the phone. A simple polite explanation saying they would take me although they don't accept hmo and it may be out of pocket is that ok? Would be a much nicer and more professional approach. Perhaps it's their clients they get or what but trash attitude. I'll gladly pay double not to be insulted like that. Would not recommend. I just moved and was looking for a new dental office. I found Impression Dentistry, and booked a cleaning. When I arrived, the women at front desk was not very welcoming. After filling out new patient documents, I was sent to the back. They completed some X-Rays and the dentist came in shortly after. She quickly examined my mouth, and told me I had 6 cavities and left. I was then told by (who I assume was the dental hygienist) that I was free to go. After informing her that I booked for a cleaning, she spoke to the dentist in the other room and I overheard her being told that I would need to book for another appointment to receive a cleaning. I spoke to the women at the front, and rather than trying to apologize or rebook for a cleaning she kept trying to push for me to book for an appointment to get fills for these "cavities". I knew immediately I would NOT be coming back. I just had an awesome experience from start to finish with Dr. Banner located in Gilroy where I was given the cleaning I booked for and did not try to get me to book for unnecessary fills for cavities I DO NOT have. The only impression from Impressions Dentistry I received was an awful one. read more

I switched insurances so had to switch dentists. I came here a while ago for a check up and cleaning. The receptionist was welcoming and kind. I was pulled back right away by what I think might have been a RDA. She did x-rays and "cleaned" my teeth. The "cleaning" was less than 10 minutes long. 1 hand instrument was used by the assistant, and my teeth did not feel clean. My teeth weren't even flossed during this dental cleaning. The dentist then came into the room afterwards and looked over my X-rays. She told me I needed 6 cavity fillings. 6 months before this I was told by my previous dentist I was cavity free. I scheduled an appointment for the cavities and left feeling disappointed and concerned. When I came back for my cavity filling appointment I quietly asked the receptionist if I could talk to the dentist before we started treatment so I could voice my concerns. The dentist must have overheard me, or the receptionist messaged her, because the dentist came out to the front reception area and told me that I should find a new dentist. She said, "If you want a dentist that focuses on hygiene I am not the dentist for you. I suggest you find a new dentist"... which is confusing being she is a general dentist and dental cleanings are done at GD offices? Rather than apologizing for my experience she was rude and dismissed me. I did find a new dentist under my insurance and saw them 2 weeks later, and was told by them my teeth still needed a cleaning. I was also told I had NO CAVITIES! They said at most, I have ONE cavity starting to form. I am glad I switched offices before I got those 6 cavity fillings I didn't need. I will say the one positive thing the dentist did is have the receptionist cancel my cleaning they had charged through my insurance so I could get it redone somewhere else. I came across Impressions Dentistry through the Delta Dental network and decided to give them a try. I'm such a nervous wreck when going to the dentist but I had one of the best experiences with Dr. Dhillon. She was thorough with what I needed to get done and she got straight to work. I was told by a previous dentist I needed to get a deep cleaning so I approved it and we got it done. I did not feel pain at all and she was gentle when putting in the anesthesia. She constantly checked in during the procedure to make sure I was comfortable which I appreciated. The entire staff, Veronica (front desk), Erica (Dental Assistant) and Dr. Dhillon, were all welcoming and friendly. I definitely recommend this place! read more

As an approved DeltaDental provider(#047040) for Medicare Advantage Plus, I decided to try Impressions for a simple cleaning. Modern, clean, and friendly staff. Afterwards, was presented with an extensive proposed "Care Plan" showing the itemized cost for several procedures - not only determined unnecessary by another dentist, but also all priced outrageously high far exceeding Medicare's contracted limits with DeltaDental. Medicare expressly prohibits provider "balance billing" (the provider charges the patient for the difference between the discounted Medicare rate and the provider's full rate - pure profit. Immediately reported this "cheating" to Medicare with full documentation as requested. Still listed with DeltaDental, but doubt they will be in the near future. Their dishonesty should discourage anyone from even considering Impressions Dentistry. read more
