Nick LeRoy should not be practicing and in fact, had his license revoked in 2016! I couldn't believe, that as I checked his website today, he was still offering Breast THERMAGRAMs!!!!!! THERMAGRAMS ARE a SCAM. I was convinced by HIM that mammograms could cause cancer, so I began having them religiously starting at 40 and went every year until 45. He also did a breast exam every year. At 44, I began noticing changes to my nipple, as it was moving upward and I had an indentation under my breast...I just thought it was because I lost a little weight and it was making by breasts less full and dense. Long story short, I went in to see him as I was getting my 6th THERMAGRAM and expressed my concern about a lump I was feeling. He brought up my 5 years of THERMAGRAMs and stating he didn't notice anything "Abnormal" on them, but I should get a mammogram to be sure! Well, guess what, The mammogram (which the medical community strongly recommends starting at 40) showed that I had STAGE 3A breast cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes. The renown, and best in their field physicians and surgeons at Northwestern and UIC hospitals, said that by the size and rate of growth...that it had been growing for at least 5/10 years!!!! I had a bi-lateral mastectomy, 6 months of chemotherapy, 25 radiation treatments and 7 subsequent surgeries! 2.5 years of a nightmare! I stood in his office with tears rolling down my face as I realized my 15 year struggle with the aftermath of western medical cervical cancer treatments never had to be, had I only known. I've been going to Dr. LeRoy for 14 years. I've gone to the new practice. I never had any cervical issues. I went for thermography. I'm a big fan. I have 14 years of history of the health of my breasts - and I'm very happy. If thermography ever shows anything, the next right step would be a mammogram. I decided to create an account in order to leave a long-awaited review for Dr. LeRoy. This is 100% truthful as it gets. I am a mid-20s female, and first went to Dr. LeRoy in late 2012 after researching on the internet for months of how to treat agressive high-risk HPV. I had been diagnosed with high-risk HPV at the young age of 19, which was super scary dealing with it on my own, especially since I was not promiscuous in any way and had only been with two partners by that age. I was diagnosed with high-risk HPV in San Antonio, at the age of 19, but before I could find out any more from the doctor, I had to move to Ohio. From then on, I would seek out a doctor in Dayton who would run a pap-smear every 6 months and only would tell me that I was "high-risk" and "I think you have HPV-16, but it's no big deal," or "we'll just have to wait and see for things to clear up." Well, I did wait, and my pap results would come up positive year after year, which was not normal as your body could clear it up on its own, but my body was not. After hearing this constantly for 3 years, I was more scared than ever because that doctor had tossed around the term HPV-16 like it was just something not to worry about, when in fact, when researching it thoroughly, it was the scariest cancer-causing form of HPV! After the last straw of being told to wait, and having three biopsies that cost me well over $1000 with negative results, I took matters into my own hands and researched ways to treat it. Dr. LeRoy's name popped up, and I researched heavily into it. I convinced my fiancé at the time that I needed to see him in Chicago, even if we did live 5 hours away. I had to take the leap of faith because I DID NOT want a leep, since I was working at an OB/GYN office, I knew the consequences of it, and did not want a leep at the age of 22. The first time meeting Dr. LeRoy was very nice, my partner would accompany me to every appointment, and he answered all of our questions thoroughly. I have to admit I was very nervous by switching to a person who claimed he knew the answer, since I had been told by my modern medicine doctors that nothing could be done to help me except surgical procedures. I found out many things on my first visit, and Dr. LeRoy would take pictures of my cervix each time I came in so we could look at the progress. The first pictures of my cervix looked somewhat okay, but you could tell something was off. I was very nervous this natural treatment would not work, but trusted my faith in him. I would follow-up and drive 5hrs each time to get treatment by Dr. LeRoy once a month until the end of 2013, since my HPV was super aggressive. The progress looked great, Dr. LeRoy would send me home each time with different supplements to take, and would answer all and every concerns I had. He would even personally e-mail me the photos of my cervix, and when I had work during the week and could not visit him in time, he would open up his availability for me on the weekends!! This has to be the shadiest doctor I have ever seen in my life. Please, do not give this guy your money. He is cold, rude, and his office is dirty. I only saw him and his receptionist there, and wonder why he has no physician assistants at all. Let me start by stating I could not give Dr. Nick a higher review. He has a holistic but completely realistic approach to healthcare with a genuine concern for the well being of his patients. A little history about me - I am a healthy, 24 year old woman with no prior health issues. In August of 2012 I went to my normal doctor for my annual and found out I had an abnormal pap with mild cervical dysplasia and high risk HPV. I was devastated and my doctor was not able to answer all my questions. I decided to go ahead with a colposcopy to get screened for cervical cancer. In 2013 after an abnormal Pap smear and a colposcopy I was diagnosed with CIN III, severe cervical dysplasia. A gynecologist recommended I chose one of two operations, either a procedure where a third of my cervix we be removed under general anesthesia or the second option was to have a surgery where I would undergo a full or partial hysterectomy depending on what was discovered when the procedure was performed. Given the choice, I was leaning toward the first option, to have a partial removal of my cervix. I would then have follow-up pap smears to monitor the dysplasia with the hope that the physician all or most of the dysplasia and that my body would clear the rest of it. But if the dysplasia did come back I would have to have a second surgery to have a hysterectomy. Prior to this diagnosis, I had never had an abnormal Pap and so I was interested to learn that often times women can clear dysplasia on their own. Apparently though, for someone like me, a 48 year-old women entering menopause, it was more unlikely. Not relishing the idea of surgery I was still interested in finding out if there were less invasive ways to treat dysplasia as I felt like it might be worth at least trying an alternative approach while also trying to support my own immune system before resorting to surgery. So I began to do research on the internet and that is when I learned about using escharotic treatments for cervical dysplasia. I found a few different practitioners who offered this alternative but none living in my home-state. One provider I found was Dr. LeRoy. After studying and being impressed by his website, and then interviewing him over the phone with my husband, I made the decision to begin a series of treatments with him for which I would travel to Chicago every 3 to 4 weeks. The first time I visited I had 3 treatments over the course of 5 days. My sister accompanied me for that trip and she too was interested and impressed by what she learned about Dr. LeRoy and the process. I would subsequently travel to Chicago for 5 more overnight visits within the span of 4 months doing 2 back-to-back treatments each time. In total, I had 13 treatments. Each session involved taking a photo of my cervix (by using a plastic "light-up" LED speculum) followed by the escharotic treatment and then a post-treatment photo. This allowed Dr. Leroy (and I) to evaluate and study the effects and progress of treatment. While there was some mild discomfort with the first few treatments it never lasted for very long and was quickly relieved if I took a Motrin. In addition to the treatments, I took supplements Dr. LeRoy had recommended, tried to reduce my stress, improved my diet and worked with my chiropractor and homeopath at home to boost my immune system. The progress made from visit to visit was remarkable. And the photos were the key component, allowing me to actually SEE the amazing, continual and steady healing process. Dr. LeRoy was great at patiently explaining everything so that I understood and could stay committed to returning. Traveling from far away required trust and a big commitment of time, money and energy on my part and had I not had the photos and the tutelage of Dr. LeRoy I am not sure I would have been able to stay the course. But on my last visit Dr. LeRoy decided that I had made enough progress and that it was worth getting a Pap smear and HPV test done to see where we stood. Looking at the photos it was clear we had made significant progress, with the tissue of my cervix appearing to have even remodeled itself. But it wasn't entirely obvious, from the photos alone, to know if I had cleared the dysplasia completely. However, a week later we received my Pap smear and HPV test results to find out the Pap was clear and that there was no sign of high-risk HPV present. Yay!!!!! I now have to have a Pap smear done in three months, then another one in six months and finally one in nine months. This is the same protocol I would've had to follow if I had gone with the initial surgery to remove part of my cervix. I am continuing to take the supplements Dr. LeRoy has recommended and hope to get good results. At this point, though, I am just happy to have my cervix intact and not had to have gone through a full-blown surgery. I will repost following the results of these tests. In the meantime, I am happy to say I feel lucky to have learned so much about this disease and the option Dr. LeRoy provides. For anyone looking for, what is in my mind, an affordable alternative to traditional options for cervical dysplasia I would highly recommend them to at least consult with Dr. LeRoy. I received a thermogram and was told upon leaving the office that everything was normal. Received a call 3 weeks later to say that upon further review there may be a problem that warrants a mammogram.
