On march 18th i went to AAA to renew my membership and Registration I realized that…read more I accidentally lock my keys in my car. I Ask at the front desk if they can call and they said to tell the person at the counter, So as I paid I requested help and was told they don't do that , being a handicapped Veteran blind in my left eye and an amputee.. I walk back to the front welcome Desk.. I ask "can I Please ?? have the number to roadside assistance ..the associate than said. " DON'T YOU HAVE A PHONE!!!"?.. as I felt defeated I went outside into the heat. Knowing my meds were lock in my car. I. Used my phone to take a photo and expand it to get the number. If you want to feel helpless AAA will make you feel hopeless and a bother.. as A Veteran and disabled. How hard would it have been to Call for me or just write the number down on a piece of paper ? I Sat outside in the hot sun. Feeling defeated Knowing I couldn't go back inside after being treated in such a way..

The speed with which you can get things done makes the membership fee worth it in time saved alone. All that said, in reference to Michael H.'s review, I would strongly recommend against getting insurance with AAA. My father went through something similar getting insurance with AAA. He signed up with them and paid for the insurance and when he got into an accident, he was told that he wasn't covered for whatever happened. ‍ I would further recommend that when you get car insurance, go to an agency where you have a face and a name to deal with should you have any problems. Also ask for a copy of the coverage that you just signed up for to be printed for you. Car Insurance is one time when you DON'T PHONE IT IN.

However, recently it has become increasingly difficult to receive a return call from her or her office. I nearly missed the deadline to change my Medicare plan because, according to Dion, she had been busy. While I understand that business demands can increase, I expressed to her that this explanation was not professional. If she was unavailable, I should have been informed by her or her staff so that I could have sought assistance elsewhere. Keeping clients waiting until the last minute--especially when I had only one day remaining to enroll--is unacceptable. I had left messages months in advance and made multiple attempts to follow up with both her and her office. I have also heard similar concerns from relatives I referred. Business growth is certainly positive, but it should not come at the expense of client service and communication.

My mom and I dropped all of our policies with Lauro Gutierrez earlier this year because of his…read moreterrible customer service. My mom had her house and car insured with Lauro Gutierrez for over 25 years. After my father passed away suddenly last year, Lauro RAISED my mother's car insurance rate by $15.79. He didn't tell her when she was in his office paying the bill, but instead sent a notice in the mail weeks later which she unfortunately missed. My parents had been loyal customers for nearly three decades, visiting Lauro Gutierrez twice a year to pay for their policies. The least he could have done was call a grieving widow on the phone or knock on my mom's door (she lives literally two blocks from his office). Instead, he canceled my mom's policy over $15.79 and left her without auto insurance. My mom only found out she didn't have insurance when she got into a minor fender-bender. All Lauro would say is that there was nothing he could do because he "didn't make the rules." Even worse, his office sent my late father a birthday card a few months later. Lauro Gutierrez's office was quick to raise my mom's insurance rates after my dad died, but couldn't even be bothered to remove my father from their marketing list. After reviewing comparable policies from other major companies, I discovered we'd basically been overpaying for our coverage for years. We switched to a different insurer and have been very happy. That extra money we were paying Lauro Gutierrez definitely wasn't going toward customer service.

When I called to hear back what was being done to cancel my policy, Liza, "kindly" HUNG UP on me. DO NOT GO HERE.
