Ridiculous pricing and people should know that when they are in such extreme pain that they will see you quickly but they will make a patient pay. My experience with this office was very disappointing. I had a front tooth I needed an implant on and went to Dr. Fretwell to have it completed from start to final restoration of the crown. Before scheduling an appointment to begin, I met with her and asked specifically, "Can you make this tooth look like the crown beside it?" I was told, "Yes, absolutely. We have multiple labs we can use that will be no problem." So I decided to move forward with the treatment process and took $2,025 to start the process. First step was to remove the tooth which led to my gum being split up to the root tip and stitches which took 4 months to heal and gum tissue to grow back down in to place. Next was the implant which gets placed and down to the final stitch being in place, I told her I could feel everything but was told rather than stick me with the needle again she would go ahead and put the last stitch in. This stitch was from the pallet forward and the pain was so bad I almost got sick. Which led to her numbing me again anyway. Once again, the gum tissue was split open but eventually grew back down while waiting for the implant to heal properly. Now its time for the final restoration. I have the impressions and Im excited to have this all put behind me after nearly a year of dealing with all of this. I go in to have the crown placed and its an oversized crown that extends over the gum tissue with pink at the top of the porcelain crown. I rejected it and 4 other tries from the lab to make it look right. Even the assistants in the office said, "That cant be right." I was told by Dr. Fretwell that it was from bone and gum loss... well I wonder why I could possibly have gum loss when its tore open and made to heal repeatedly!!?? So, after several tries and me not being happy with the result. If you can imagine a HUGE tooth next to a smaller front tooth .... hideous!! I was presented with an alternative to achieve the aesthetic look that I was originally promised. The 2 options were to have the crown lengthened on the other front tooth and replace that crown or abandon the implant all together and go with a bridge. I was told my crown on the other tooth needed replaced anyway because it was fractured... but turns out after a second opinion... It was not! On this option... she did offer to pay for the pontic on the implant tooth which would still result in a whole lot more money out of my pocket. Now it has been nearly a year since I started the initial treatment and I will not be stepping back into this office nor will my 3 sons that used to go here. I will be finishing up restoration elsewhere. Beware of this place if you value your smile and money!

I live in Atlanta now but I still choose to come here sometimes when I'm in town. I just call and see if they have availability and they get me through the door. They are very informative and helpful. I also went through them to get my wisdom teeth removed before my braces got too far along. The process was smooth and my insurance didn't cover it all so they helped me do a payment plan. Also they are helping me transfer to the office in Atlanta near me with no problem. The worse my teeth became, the more afraid I was to seek help. The more I tried to take care of them, sometimes the more painful it became. There is a tremendous amount of shame that can come with having bad teeth. I have carried that shame for years. So when I walked into a dental office, I wasn't just walking in as a patient with a bad tooth. I was walking in carrying years of fear, embarrassment, pain, and memories of not knowing how to take care of myself. On Thursday, July 31, 2026, I was eating a handful of sunflower kernels when one became lodged in one of my severely damaged wisdom teeth. The pain was so intense that my husband rushed me to the emergency room. We were able to get an emergency dental appointment scheduled for Monday, August 3. I was terrified. I mean shaking-in-my-boots, heart-pounding, trying-to-convince-myself-not-to-run-out-the-door terrified. I expected to be judged. I expected someone to look at my teeth and make me feel ashamed. I expected to hear the things I've spent years telling myself: "You should have taken better care of your teeth." "Why did you let it get this bad?" "You should have come in sooner." Instead... I was treated like a human being. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with dignity, patience, respect, and compassion. The hygienist was absolutely incredible. She was gentle, understanding, patient, and reassuring. She never made me feel embarrassed about my teeth. She never made me feel like I was a bad person because I was afraid. For the first time in a very long time, I felt safe in a dental chair. And that may sound like a small thing to someone who isn't afraid of the dentist. To me, it was enormous. The dentist came in and told me I needed a deep cleaning and had 3 small cavities. We talked about what that would involve. I then went up front to get my "treatment plan" and the price was $3,600 ($2,800 after insurance)!! I've had a deep cleaning before and it didn't cost me a tenth of that. I talked to them about financing and they offered $149/mo at 36% interest and did not tell me how many months it would take to pay it off. Totally a rip off. I couldn't afford that so I called them back a few days later to see if I could get a basic cleaning because I'm getting new insurance but it wouldn't pay for a deep cleaning for 12 months. They refused saying they wouldn't do anything once a "treatment plan" was done. I won't be back to this clinic, ever. All they want is money and don't care about their patients.
