Best Buy sells you a product, then disappears unless you buy a Geek Squad membership. I had a…read moresimple question on pairing a new Apple Pencil with a new iPad purchased for $900 total. Wouldn't pair. Phoned this store and the Geek Squad and was told to call Apple. I wrote a Google Review, Owner told me to send to general "contact us". Into an endless loop that goes nowhere.
Drove from Port Colborne back to the store in St. Catherine's for personal service,....was intercepted at the door by an Apple Rep who asked if he could help. He fixed the problem immediately and when asked about a place for lunch nearby, he offered up "The Feathery Pub" which turned out to be amazing. A non-Best Buy person saved the day. The person that sold us the products a week earlier could not be any less interested in selling my 93 year old mother the proper product, he just wanted his commission for selling us more than we needed. I am an Android user, but hats off to Simon from Apple who was amazing !

Purchased a new iPad and pencil for my mother. Could not get the pencil to pair. Best Buy & Geek Squad would not help by phone unless I had a membership. Came back to exchange pencil, but were intercepted by "Simon" from Apple who was at the store providing customer assistance for Apple Products. He immediately fixed the problem, was pleasant to talk with and acknowledged the lack of support at Best Buy / Geek Squad. Simon even recommended a great place for lunch nearby, "The Feathery Pub". Thank you Simon. Best Buy, you could learn a few things about "GREAT" customer service from a guy that doesn't even work there ! Told the manager of The Feathery Pub this story, loved it and told us he would give Simon a gift card from the Pub. That's the way this world should work !
