Update #2
I received an email today from NGSi's attorney threatening legal action, it said:
"This office represents N Genius Solutions, Inc. ("NGSI") in connection with the wrongful and fraudulent dissemination of false and potentially defamatory information on social media and emails you sent regarding NGSI to NGSI's customers, thereby making you open to a lawsuit for damages NGSI may sustain from your libelous activity. My client brought to my attention that you wrote a disparaging email to Bottleneck and City Works Restaurant management, containing false statements about NGSI's actions. It is imperative that you immediately cease and desist sending defamatory emails to NGSI's customers. Further, it is imperative that you immediately cease and desist from using NGSI and/or any of its
associates and affiliates when misrepresenting the truth to the general public and placing my client in false light. You must cease and desist from posting any defamatory language regarding NGSI or anyone affiliated with NGSI on social media or any other location. You are instructed to immediately remove the libelous posts you made on Yelp or any other social network. I urge you to promptly comply with our demand because your failure to do so will certainly make you legally
responsible to NGSI for misrepresentation, defamation and false light.
Should you fail to comply with the aforementioned request by January 20, 2018, my client has authorized me to pursue this matter on its behalf to protect its legal rights against you. Please govern yourself accordingly as appropriate legal measures will be taken promptly should you
fail to cease and desist from continued actions described herein.
Sincerely,
Aleksandra E. Fremderman, Esq.

I have been truthful, here are the emails sent to me, that I provided to their attorney, along withe the check that they stopped payment on.
Email 1: October 25, 2017
Vince,
We finally got word yesterday on an HC controller for your Elan System. I
will let Ben quote you on pricing and any warranty information. Once we
get our hands on the controller we will schedule for install.
Thanks,

Vincent,
Unfortunately, Ben is no longer with NGSI. I'm sorry your home system slipped through the cracks. Let me work with Parker to see what we need to get done to finish your project. Will be in touch soon.
Thank you,
Maria

Update.
They sent me a refund check for parts and labor that was not completed. When the check was deposited I learned that they stopped payment on the check like the shady crooks I believe they are.
I had them out to reprogram my Elan whole home system, and when they were out they mentioned that there was more that could be done with my existing system, along with potential upgrades, as the system was approaching 7 years old. I asked for a quote for the upgrade option, along with simply getting my video switch up and running. I was clear that I was leaning towards simply keeping the old system in place, as it works fine. They gave me a quote for ~$25,000 to replace the entire system, and a quote for ~$3,300 to get my switch working. I chose the $3300 option.
I paid the deposit of $2,700, and scheduled my appointment. The day of the appointment a guy came out, put in my new modem and 2 wifi extenders. Then, after pulling a wall plate he sat down and told me there were some converters for the wall plates and they would need to order them. I was told I would hear from them , "next week". That was October 13. Needles to say, I never heard from them, and, after about 5 calls I was told they got 5 of the eleven needed converters and were working on the others. Again, several weeks went by and I had to call several times before being told that they never got any converters, nor were they ever trying to get them. I was shocked and appalled.
I was then told that my only option, if I was going to use them, was the total system upgrade. I refused and was told that they would be charging me $2500 to expand my wireless network, something I only had them do because they would be in there working on the other items, otherwise I would have done it myself. To make matters worse, the install was done incorrectly, creating a loop, which caused my Directv on demand to not work.
I have asked them to simply pick up all the items and issue a full refund, as they did not provide the services I asked for and they have refuse, only refunding me for the parts they did not use, somehow charging me for several hours labor, when the tech was at my house for an hour.
They are, in my opinion, unprofessional, and untrustworthy. If the only choice was to replace the entire system I would have told them no in the first place, rather than play this game where they send someone out who will tell me that, contrary to what I was told, more than once, the job they proposed cannot be done. read more
