Best burger I've had since the In-N-Out Burger! Very delicious! Definitely seeing this company opening more locations

I've been a couple of times now and will definitely go back. I'm really glad they're in Alpharetta. The burgers are great. The fries are great. The service was great and friendly. It's definitely one of the best burgers in town, and the quality was consistent at each visit. Bonus: the chairs inside are comfortable, and the tables don't rock. The only critique I have about the burger is they didn't toast the buns when I was there, and the buns got soggy from this. I'd be curious what the burgers would be like if the buns were toasted, and I'd be surprised if it didn't make them even better. Aside from that, I will say that the seasoning on the burgers is definitely distinct. We liked it, but I would imagine it might not be for everyone. You'll just have to try it for yourself, though. Aside from that, I wish there was a fry option that was just salt and not their proprietary seasoning. It's good, but sometimes it seems like a little much especially when it seems like the same seasoning on the burger. I also wish there were fountain drinks where you could easily get a refill as a single can of soda isn't quite enough for me with the amount of seasoning on things. And when it gets crowded, the line backs up so it's not easy to even go purchase another drink right now. read more

The burger was so bland, it was over priced for a basic burger. I paid extra $4.25 for a waffle bun, which was recommended to me and it was so sugary, it was awful. I took it back and didn't even get my money back when I exchanged for a regular bun. The restaurant is nice and service was cool but burger was bad and not a lot of selection. I did like the seasoned fries more than anything else. The "sassy" sauce was basic too. read more

FINALLY got to try NFA and it sure didn't disappoint! 6pm on a Wednesday and there was no line. The food was absolutely incredible and the staff was top notch. Perfect location as we were heading to a movie. Yuuuuuuuummmm! read more

First visit ( after hearing about the original location for a very long time ). The burgers are over the top delicious and so different than anything I have ever had. The shakes are so fresh and actual fruit and not syrup ! And do not miss the tater tots ! The staff is so friendly and welcoming . Cannot wait to return next time we are in the Atlanta area. read more

PLUSES: -Good meat. -Given the venue, the burgers are reasonably priced. -For fries: No pluses. MINUSES FOR MEAT: -Too much hot spice for me, even though I asked for no sauce. It may have just been pepper. I don't like hot! Some may like it. -Very, very greasy! -No lettuce or tomato option. -Very few other topping choices. MINUSES FOR FRIES: -Horrible! -Frozen, not fresh. -Poor quality, taste, seasoning and texture. -Expensive, especially given the above facts. $4.50 SERVICE: -Quick on a Thursday night at about 7:00 PM WILL I RETURN OR RECOMMEND? My experience with the NFA Burger at the Avalon was disappointing; I do not believe it justifies the cost. The burger I received was a burned, smashed patty, which I did not enjoy. If that is your preference, you may like it. Otherwise, I recommend looking elsewhere. Furthermore, I found the owner's public reply to my original review to be extremely rude. I want to inform potential customers that if you leave a negative review, the owner reportedly identifies the reviewer via surveillance cameras, obtaining their name for a public, retaliatory post. read more

Food is just as amazing as the Dunwoody location in the gas station. I got two doubles and they remind me just like the original location tastes. And I can sit down inside instead of my car. Service needs work, but I believe that will come with time with their employees getting used to everyday operations. read more

I will say, the burger was amazing. One of the best that I have had. The fries were not good. Too thin, all crunch, and no filler. The staff was great. Very friendly and attentive. My critique is first with the ordering line. One person taking orders for lunch service is not nearly enough. Thankfully we got there early, but not so good for those that came after. The other critique is that I wanted a water. I had to go to the bar to get it and they provide you a tiny glass that you have to continually go back to the bar to have filled. Ive been to the original location in Dunwoody, tried this place with my wife and daughter. You order as you walk in, self serve seating, and they bring you the food. Food options are the same from the Dunwoody spot, except they serve alcohol. There are large tvs playing sports. The food is solid. Everything is chill and casual, the way it should be. Recommend this place if youre in the area looking for a solid burger and fries. read more

Although our order was taken quickly at the bar we waited nearly 30 mins for 2 burgers a side a tots and fries. You prepay so we of course included tip which was kind of a mistake. While waiting we watched a young man walk around with an order calling out a name (not ours) going back and forth through out the restaurant both inside and out trying to find whomever the order belonged to he did this 3 times over ten minutes. After asking us our name and it didn't match the order he took it back to kitchen and then proceeded to turn around and come back out to say that this order was indeed ours he was calling the wrong name! Nope! We sent it back! Then our order came out 5 minutes later missing the tots and the fries which ended up being cold. The burger itself is a very salty patty on a cold bun. I did like the pickles! Also as an fyi they do not have tomatoes if you happen to like those on your burger. The price point is good for a burger joint and I do believe the kinks will get worked out with the service, but I think the saltiness of the burger will keep me from going back. read more

Wanted to be excited about it, but wasn't. Bland aesthetic, average burger and below average tater tots. Craft Burger clearly better.

I've heard how great NFA Burger was for a long time, then they opened a location nearby at Avalon so I thought it was time to see what all the hype was about. Well, I was disappointed, sadly. First the good, the service was excellent! Fast, friendly and probably more staff working than necessary. The A/C was great on a hot day and the TV's were large and tuned to all the right channels. Very comfortable setting. Now where I was disappointed, the double was good, not great, the tots were dry and crunchy all the way through. I don't know if they were over cooked or old. My canned Coke was warm and my order, a single, a double, tots, vanilla shake and can of Coke with tip came to almost $40. The burgers were small and the quality was fine just not that tasty I felt the meal was overpriced. Will I give NFA Burger another shot? Sure, they may have just had an off day although some of my concerns won't be fixed by having a good day. We'll see, so far I'm not impressed, sadly. read more

I went in on an outside music night @ Avalon to grab some quick & hopefully good grub. I was super excited to try this place due to the Dunwoody reviews. It did not disappoint. I waited in a well run & efficient line & placed my order. Waited at the bar to grab my to go food & was graciously offered water while I waited. The food was out quickly. I took my order outside to eat on the lawn. it was a delicious burger & fries with sauce that was outstanding. Service was fantastic. Whole experience was great. First I will give this location a couple of breaks. It had just recently opened (maybe 1 month) and it was slammed with customers. Now for the bad part. It took a long time to get food which is not to surprising how busy they were. My wife noticed a lot of tables around us were sending orders back. We never saw a manager. Ours came out and guess what, the order was wrong. We had both ordered their primary item on the menu, the double burger but my wife's was wrong. We didn't have time to wait for it to be redone so I swapped with my wife. The burger had bacon bits or small pieces of bacon which were dry and overcooked. As for the rest of the burger, it had some concoction of cheese and couldn't tell what else. Neither of us enjoyed our burger and it was below the standard of their competition- Five Guys, Red Robin, BurgerFi, Shake Shack, etc. TBH, it wasn't even up to the quality of a McDonalds, Burger King, etc. it reminded me of a Freddy's 'flake burger'. On the positive side, the tater tots and fries were good. But for the price there's too much competition for my burger dollar so probably won't be back. read more

Spectacular failure! How the best burger in Georgia and maybe one of the best in the US could open a second location and create a substandard experience blows the mind. If you've ever experienced the original NFA Burger prepare yourself to be disappointed. The highlight - staff are just as kind and friendly as original location. Now for the bad, the food. It was frankly horrible, burger bun was cold from fridge, meat was overcooked and dry, didn't have the juiciness or flavor of the original. Fries were thin waffle cut, different in size from original, also overcooked to the point of being tough and flavorless. Fries at the original location were some of the best I've ever eaten. Fries at the Avalon location were worse than food service in a cafeteria. To the owners - you opened this location because you didn't want to lower your standards. Can you really say this new location is the same standard as the original? read more
